There is a mechanic on an Australian you tube channel admits if all bought Toyota vehicles he would be out of business because of there reliability and many Australians get Toyota's reliability and longevity but not all Australians they still buy the South Korean European and Chinese rubbish
I wouldn't buy any of them.. One and two year old Kia Tellurides and Hyundai Palisades are burning oil already and having all kind of issues.. Terrible brand😩
@@charlesjackson1700 yes true enough. I’m on some of the fb groups and it’s very discouraging even with the newer models. Some are incorporating the dual injection Smartstream engines that held so much promise but don’t seem to be delivering on the reliability, including transmission issues. Actually love their cars, just need to get Japanese engines shoehorned into them. 😝
I think the Tundra engine will be fine now that they have discovered the problem being machine debris. The design is sound and we all know any engine will die if metal is left in it.
@@ECPP Not giving them a pass though it was inexcusable to leave machining debris in the engines and we are now seeing some videos showing up showing the debris being found so that is the issue. That being said if Toyota is the same company they will be making it right and correcting behaviors that led to it happening to begin with. Japanese take this kind of thing personally so I expect it to be corrected and see the new Tundra eventually being labeled bullet proof. Time will tell........
I had a 2009 Honda Civic coupe LX. I loved it. I need more space, so I brought a 2017 Mitsubishi outlander Sport AWD it had 71K on it in 2022. I have 103K on it now. What do you think about Mitsubishi CVT?
Mentioning Toyota, Lexus, Mazda, Subaru, Honda as very reliable and having a low TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) is normal (plus Suzuki and Mitsubishi outside the USA). But Tesla (that is better than all other BEV clunkers) is a lemon.
........Simple: Toyota and LEXUS....BECAUSE : They are designed to work on after purchase....Unlike beeemers where you in some case / models have to pull the engine to change out....... MOST every Euro is designed this way as it is No secret the EURO's MAKE their most money in service / designed with Hard to get to areas galore!.....ALWAYS try to get a VEHICLE MADE specifically in JAPAN = Build integrity!
True, but many Mazda, Suzuki and Subaru models are also very reliable and with a low TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) according to different relevant statistics such as Consumer Reports. Tesla cars (better than other BEVs) are lemons.
There's a massive shortage of mechanics nationwide so they aren't worried about a shortage of customers because they already have as many customers as they can handle. What's more important is being able to easily fix a car. Some cars are just more difficult to work on and that frustrates mechanics a lot. Mechanics also don't like less reliable cars because that upsets their customers and casts doubt onto them as being a good mechanic. If their car is always in the shop they start to wonder if the mechanic is to blame. Simple to work on reliable cars = happy mechanics & happy customers.
Any of the Mercedes and BMWs with a Inline 6 cylinder it’s a bulletproof for reliability especially from M256 Mercedes GLS, GLE, CLE, E-Class, S-Class, GT 43, any of them even with PHEV this a bulletproof engine and it’s better than V6 Also with BMW B58 engine, especially with X3M, X4M, M340i, 540i, 640i, 740i or 740il, X5, X6, X7 xDrive, Toyota (Beamer) Supra, Z4 M40i…etc All of these I mention with these engine provides for reliability and power and fuel efficiency and easy maintenance and fun enjoyable to drive (Don’t waste your money with a V8 with over engineered) I don’t trust Consumer Reports, I don’t trust any of the fools who doesn’t know the difference engine, if you want a reliable German car, get one of these I mentioned. Peace ✌️
A reliable car needs far more than a reliable engine. The German cars are far away from the last century reliability that made them globally acknowledged.
The Accord you showed is a VERY BEAUTIFUL VEHICLE
Yes that is quite a sweet ride
but it does not drive that great, CVT transmission sucks the power out and slow shifting. Vague handling and mediocre brakes
AWESOME & AMAZING channel..keep going for MORE videos after this..SUPPORT this channel FOREVER😁👍👏

Do not buy anything five years pre or post 2015 from Hyundai or Kia. My mechanic refuses most services for engine.
Yes not well made

Just say no to Korean vehicles. Rather have the cheapest Japanese vehicle. Don't skimp on engine quality.
@@ECPPwhat do you think about Kia Optima Hybrid 2017? You think it’s reliable and good?
I really love your informative videos Mark and the Tacoma you just showed at the start of your video
Glad you like them!
Another helpful and would go so far to say important video to educate the masses.
Thanks Mark.
Glad it was helpful! Hope you are having a great day.
The older GM trucks were awesome,,I hope that you have luck with the Honda and I hope that people drive safe around your great vehicles
Yes the older GM trucks were great and then the cylinder de activation came along and caused some issues
@ECPP ahem, some issues??? Probably lots of issues...right?
Normally I don’t like this type of content.
Not the one about cars but blog content.
But for some reason I like yours a lot.
Thanks for the info.
Thanks for watching. I try to provide info in a fun and entertaining way.

great video
Thanks!
Another great informative video Mark
Thanks very much. I does not seem too many others like this video.
@ECPP Funny, but it seems to me that your videos get better all the time Mark

That Nissan Frontier that was beside the Tacoma would be a good one to mention for good reliability
You were almost describing the Frontier when you were talking about the Taco next to it

Hello there, would a Nissan Senta 2021 be reliable?
The 10th gen accord is hit and miss! The head gasket and injector issues are scary on the 1.5t

I agree many of these chronicles are paid for and take that with a grain of salt
So the B58 engine can last up to 300k miles with good maintenance?
@@gregthesplintercell of course my little friend, the B58 is so elect
A reliable car needs far more than a reliable engine.
The German cars are far away from the last century reliability that made them globally acknowledged.
Avoid the newest b58 3rd gen engines they have issues
Old Subaru ej25 engine and 4 speed transmission are better their new F engine, leaks oil from everywhere, cheaply designed overall, esp CVT.
"Jaguar" JUNK Brand No Mechanic will touch with 10feet Pole, they cant fix so there is no money
There are some local repair shops that say "We don't Service Jaguars" on their mailed out service ads...😅 I WONDER WHY?
Ouch
I do wonder
these 2 videos should be the opposites....mechanics love you coming in over and over and over....they want that cruise to the bahamas😁
