I agree the league isn't as strong as last year, but imo, it's still the Championship, and it's still relentless. The recruitment needs to be bang on. I think the 12 games you had on screen would be a good barometer of how the season is going to go. None of this stuff like last yr where the season didn’t really start until after the transfer window shut. If we have more than 3 losses in those 12 serious questions should be asked. Honestly if we drop points in more than 4 of those games (depending on the eye test, we can be reasonable about it) I think it’s time to start lining up a replacement
The problem is that if Farke fails we do too.On the basis of last season I don't think he will change at all. He walks away with a big settlement and we are left in the doldrums of the championship with his has beens and no light at the end of the tunnel
@madmick1013 I feel exactly the same way, people said that Bielsa was stubborn, but at least he tried to change things when he wasn't working. Farke is just rigid with his timed subs, that ran the first 11 into the ground. I was sad when Bielsa got sacked, don't feel the same about Farke
it will not be the results as such but the way the results are obtained. we all know Farkes faults - tactics, game management, subs etc. It will be obvious after a couple of games whether he has changed in any way .. Portsmouth will do low block.. can we break them down. WBA will be more open. If it looks like more of the same then he needs to go..... Farke is just Southgate without a cardigan... Best squad in the competition and no idea what to do with them.

Tough question - last season, lousy start, legitimate excuses. Great middle, nothing to say on that. Poor end, this was where Farke needed to show us how it’s done, and he didn’t. Look back, you can see where we faltered, Farke’s inability to fix the plane while he’s flying it was his biggest problem. But - I hope to hell any change in manager comes before we hit the point of no return. Not big on utility… things that are ‘universal’ are more often than not…. Universally crap.
Knowing us we will give Farke the push in October and replace him with Gareth Southgate. Both seem to employ similar tactics. Stop all this passing back and sideways and go for the jugular. I want us to blow teams away this season and I don’t want to see Bamford playing for us again please.
I think 2 months and 10 fixtures is ample to fix any problems caused by injuries or new players bedding in. If we are not top 5 by then and Farke is making bad calls with team selection then absolutely, get rid.

None of this all posession while toothless up front craic we saw towards the end of last season. He has time to strategise now for low blocks, so 6 weeks for me. From end of November last season I doubted DF’s tactics and especially his in game management. By Christmas I said we would get promoted despite him not because of him. The squad as a whole may not have been as good as Leicester but on a first 11 that could be fielded I maintain we were the better team and that was borne out in our head to head games. There can be no excuses this season and if we are no immediately in the top 3-4 after a handful of games then the alarm bells will ring and they need to be lining up an alternative, though frankly if I were responsible for recruitment I would be seeing who is left available from the eve of the first game. After ten games if we’re not top 2 maybe 3 then be looking to replace. May sound drastic but there can be no excuses. I hope we are proven wrong. Last year the lowest expectation I had was promotion and regarded the playoffs as failure. This year the bar is set higher. We need to set the bar to winning the division and doing so in a powerful way literally sweeping teams aside, replicating early season Leicester but improving on their performance post Christmas. MOT

I think we need 7 players: Starting RB, RCB, #10, LW, plus bench CB (who can play L n R), LB and a winger for both sides. That's assuming we're not looking for a new GK :) - and also assuming Summerville and Gnonto are sold. I'd also sell kamara and bring in a proper 8 to rotate with Gray.
Hi Kagey replying to this the day after the proposed Archie sale. The 90pts people mention woul not have got us up season 2022/2023. Football is a competition against your opponents you need to be beating these teams, we dropped too many points against teams we shouldn't have. As a result we are tasting the after affects of failure and our best players probably gone. No excuses for Farke this season personally sack Farke now 😂😂 , oK I'll give him to the rnd of October to be top 2
October for me. If were floundering and were not challenging then I would get rid of him. Cant see the 49ers doing what the previous board did where we gave Bielsa and Marsch the transfer window in January and sack them in February. Ruthlessness need to come into it

Maybe a bench option in other games. Whoever it is needs to be good in the ball too, but we need someone that will bully those players that try to bully ours because that to me was a weakness in some games and we need to get points against all teams we face. Gruev likes a tackle but he’s not a big presence. Kamara is good on the ball but I don’t think he is strong enough against certain teams.
I don’t mean someone whose whole game is bullying teams, but someone who has that as well as decent passing, good in the ball and maybe a shot outside the area.
Farke will get 10 games. Then a call to be made taking into consideration performance and results. Depends on how our squad looks come the end of the window in August too. Any late leavers with a poor replacement could curtail expectations.
If the 49ers Enterprises havent done their part re recruitment, then that’s a whole other conversation. This video is about if they do the work necessary so there arent any excuses like this

Farke changing is part of the lessons learned from last season’s failures. I hope he does change because it will mean we’re doing what we’re supposed to 🤞🏾

Burnley and Luton well run and retaining fairly solid nucleus so far (barring Barkley) Stoke on a good rebuild- having a go (3 v good additions) Millwall continuing the passion resurrection under Harris, project Carrick at Boro gathering pace,Sunderland- New quality manager coming in with fresh ideas momentum and looking like turning over at least one player in the 20 mill plus bracket which can be reinvested. A Rooney lift at plymouth ? Bristol solid and nuclear. QPR - Cifuentes bedded in properly now (quality manager - followed him in Sweden) The nature of the (psr awareness)window we are in will see higher end veteran Prem level players leave clubs and be attainable by a lot of the Champ sides as wage demands etc will be far lower this window (late window) There are positives over plenty more clubs but youtube comments a little short form...hope i gave a rough idea of my motivations !

Ipswich is a good example of how to make and use subs. Farke needs to learn and I expect nothing less than auto’s

Depends who comes and goes, but feel Farke should get the full season and the team should deliver.
I would get him out before our first home game. He will do enough to keep us there or thereabouts though and will be kept on all season.
