Marc is such a likeable chap, he's enthusiasm is infectious, i wish Dorking the very best ⚽
He's a top guy! Great to talk to
You can’t help but like Marc comes across as a brilliant bloke
He's a top bloke very open and honest and always happy to chat 🙌
Just wish he'd learn how to put a hat on properly
Racism , has no place on football Marc white is clearly a racist. The only team in the top five division not to have a single black or Asian player in his squad. Not just this season bit any. I've looked at all previous squad photos on Google. Never a single black player. Yet only half hour drive from south London and absolute hotbed of football. I'm glad Dorking are going down. Hopefully Marc white will no step down as manger as he's clearly not fit for the job.
@@Matt-f1b9q Jordan Norville-Williams...
@@Matt-f1b9qclown head 😂😂😂
I love listening to Mark brings back all the good times in grass root football,,,you will be back next season good luck dorking
Thanks for watching pal 👍
Really good interview. Such an underrated channel
Thank you Jason! We are growing 🙌 and appreciate your comment and support 👍
@@LocationFootball I follow English football from Australia and much prefer non-league to PL etc. Other than BBC, there aren’t a lot of reliable ways to follow (and even less to delve deeper into the stories), so all of your videos and interviews are exactly what I love to see! Keep it up!
The signing of Norville-Williams is a really great one, especially since he’s an ex Royston player, he’ll definitely help the quest to go straight back up
As a Farnborough fan goibg forward he is amazing, has alot of quality driving with the ball and always looks for a forward pass plus his crossing is great to.
Tho his defensive positioning is often suspect we played with a back 5 and hed often drift into the middle with the man he was meant to he marking and itd lead to chances down out left 😅
We've been to Farnborough, great club. How you feeling about next season?
@LocationFootball bit early to tell tbh but should ne comfortably mid table which wpuld be huge given our budget 😅.
Hopefully we bring in some players, keeping Haigh and Pendlebury is a massive positive for us tho!
Marc white has not signed a single black player in the last five years. He clearly has a problem with black players. Last season was the only team in the top six divisions without a single black or Asian player.
@@Matt-f1b9qany brown players? Gingers? Eskimos?
Marc approaches this game with such a fantastic attitude. Up the Wanderers!
He's such a top guy
I wish we had a true pyramid system here in the states. Always something to play for over there. Give me non league any day over the prem. Great interview.
Thank you pal! The pyramid system is great in the UK, there's always something to play for
Come over and visit Eastbourne town!
You’ll never get it. Owners are all in agreement they want guaranteed income every year
Marc blows me away with his positivity
He's a great guy!
Great to see this channel grow! I've been a subscriber since 3k subs.
Marc shows that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible. Dorking will be back!
We really appreciate your support pal! That's class you've been watching since then 🙌 glad you enjoy the content
Love Marc's take on relegation being part of the plan to gain the quickest promotion. Positivity Is key and realisation that going full time is the only way forward, also it is key that signing at least 4 players from the higher level is a must if you wish to stay in a division.
He's very positive, the national league is such a tough division. They would've learnt so much tbh see last two seasons. Hopefully if they go up they'll be better equipped
Surprised you only have 15k subs, this is a magnificent interview!
I appreciate that pal! We're moving in the right direction 👍 thanks for you're comment
I found out about this team and Marc through the Welcome to Wrexham documentary. It makes you want to pull for them. Hope they go back up next year.
It's a great story! Thanks for watching the video 👍
This channel gonna blow up soon
Let's so hope so pal 🙌
Fantastic interview this
Thank you pal 👍
Marky boy that turkey barnet has got a mind of its own now 😂
Some great growth on it 😂
Great video on Dorking Wanderers! You should make more videos next season covering Dorking Wanderers in the National League South
Thank you pal! We'll do our best to go back again
Hope you go straight back up again next season. You are bang on about the NL. 2 up and 4 down is ridiculous. Sadly I doubt it will change as the NL actually like bigger clubs being stuck there for a while it makes the league seem more attactive.
The NL is so difficult to get out of! Shame it's only one automatic spot...should that change?
I think Marc needs some investment in players to push that next promotion in the National League, I would be surprised if they fail to bounce back this season. He's a good manager and owner and just needs that bit more strength in depth to take another huge step up.
They've brought some new players in. I think they'll have such a strong squad! Going to be a great season 🙌
Great interview this 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Appreciate that Lee
Gutted they've gone down the same season my local club (Boston United) went up, was hoping to see them
Dorking will be very strong this year 👍
I'm a Moors fan so I know what its like to fall short at the last hurdle. I've got a lot of time for Dorking and what they are to achieve. I'll be watching NLS closely next season. They are building something soecial at Dorking and if anyone could get B2B promotion its Dorking! Alrlthough play offs are relentless. Best of luck to all the lads n Marc.
Tough ending for Moors wasn't it. Great club and great people. We had a fantastic time going to a game earlier in the season 👍
@@LocationFootball yes it was tough but that's football. We were to exhausted.
Underrated channel.
Appreciate that Jamie 🙌 thanks for watching
I remember them coming to Stockport a few years ago in a cup game they played us off the park beat us 0-4
Great interview! Cheers for mentioning Rich and the @BunchOfAmateurs channel.
Thanks for watching pal 👍
Netflix are missing out on this story
Can you imagine! Although search Bunch Of Amateurs because they do an incredible job following the club
@@LocationFootball i follow you and in full agreement am thinking about putting 1 or 2 ideas into my football videos or something similar along those lines that you do with a Non League Team that's given me access to their channel
Love it top man Turk all the best for next season
cheers for watching the video!
Part-timers can't survive in the National League? Go and talk to Alan Devonshire at Maidenhead United. About to start their 8th consecutive season in the top flight of non-league.
We'll have to go check them out
Fantastic interview and channel mate!
Appreciate that pal! We need to get down to Torquay! 🙌
@@LocationFootball That would be great, let us know if we can help. Exciting times for the football. Torquay V Dorking on the 24th should be a cracker!
@@TORQUAYTALK if there's anyone you know at the club we could speak to that would be amazing! What a game that would be 🙌
12:25 this vid came up after watching BOA so an interesting watch. Will say that one thing I’ve noticed that supports why it’s a younger game I think comes from the difference in schools now. There’s a lot more focus on emotional intelligence whereas in my day and not until the last 10-15 years that wasn’t a thing.
This has lead to there being a lot more 16-18 year olds and probably up to 25 who by the age of 16-18 are already much more emotionally intelligent than many people over 40. Now I know there will be a lot of people over 40 who think I’m talking a load of bollocks, but that kind of fits with my point.
And with emotional intelligence comes the ability to better handle the different situations on and off the pitch in football, including how to deal with things when they’re not going your way and not overreacting to silly stuff and just concentrating on what you can do better to influence results. In a nutshell over 40 there is a shortage in people who can’t think further than how they feel and how other people’s actions influence their decisions whereas more focus is now on how the individuals actions impact those around them. There’s so much more to it but that’s the short of it.
Thanks for watching the vid! Glad you enjoyed it 👍
well over 40 myself and thats bollox lol no i make you right , the other point to add to that is they just get much better training nowadays at much lower levels as its so easy to learn stuff , not just players but coaches .
@@garymckeon5410 true that too. Definitely makes a big difference seeing that improvement extending lower down the pyramid.
The amount of blood that must get pushed up to Mark’s head given the tightness of those knickers…..
haha
Great video! 🎉 There’s definitely an appetite for this content! Keep it up and expect your channel will blow up.
We really appreciate that pal! Thanks for watching and supporting 👍
Love your energy Marc!
It's great isn't it 👍
Great interview subscribed 💪 Birmingham fan
Thanks pal! Any teams you'd recommend going to see in Birmingham?
@@LocationFootball Well the Moors, Solihull literally lost twice at Wembley last month which is pretty unique I would of thought,
Haleswowen have a really food fan base for the level they are it.
Then you’ve got Worcester City 20 miles up road who have broke a few records and got promoted as well as losing at the semi final stage of the FA Vase missing out on trip to Wembley. Pretty good story with them as they finding feet again after many a year of misery due to off field issues (ground sold etc)
All the best 💪👍
Marc's Barnet is looking great 👌🤣
Some Barnet isn't it! 🙌
Going to be a interesting season 4 sure
Do you have them favourites to go up? 📈
Good luck in the VNL South next season
Good luck for next season look forward to DW v Macc in the future
Thanks for watching pal
I think if they do go back up maybe he needs to give a more experience manager a chance to take over as maybe he has reach his limit and seems to take on a lot on. Great job and seems a good bloke. Love the videos.
Interesting point you make Mark, it would be weird to see Dorking without Marc though. Thanks for watching, we appreciate it
I'm not too sure they'll be dominant though us (Torquay) just been taken over, new manager and signing a whole new squad and some of the signings have been really impressive. Won't be as easy as he thinks we are going for it this year too!
I really want to come down to Torquay and make a video 🙌
Great video. Marc is 'sort of likeable' ;-) As a ref myself, he can be a knob as we all can but that doesn't help me in the middle! However, a super insight into 'real' football
Thank you for watching pal, glad you enjoyed it. Good luck for the new season!
The barnets finally starting to look on point.
It looks good don't it 👍
At least the Barnet is looking good Marc
Some growth on it 🙌
Legend of the game!
Agreed 👍
Fact check at 3:20. Notts County are NOT the oldest football club. That is Sheffield FC.
You're absolutely correct, I'll tell Marc ☺️
I knew this,Notts County are the oldest professional team.
Could never take to him , however hes came across really well in this interview
Appreciate you watching the interview pal 👍
@@LocationFootball ive never seen your channel , you've got one new subscriber . I think the interviewer can make the interviewee alot more likeable with their choice of words. Loved it mate
Best of luck to Dorking but the NL just gets tougher to excel in and to go up as champions takes a single minded approach and the full time model is the only way and you ignore the physicality of it at your peril.
Your spot on there
Even as a Woking fan, I really like the guy
He's very honest and very likeable. The club have been great to us as well 👍
wish dorking the best OAFC, class owner
Good relations between the two clubs 🤝
Love Marc but good lord I don’t think those pants could get any tighter!
Haha 😂
Lots of possession today, at Torquay United, but few chances created. Gulls outfought Dorking and were so solid at the back. So far W2 L2 for Dorking - a skilful team with some excellent players, but still an ageing side who were physically second best to Torquay!
I would've loved to of been able to get down to that game. The National League South is so competitive this year.
Great story,Eastbourne Borough will be a a worthy rival this year (🤞🤞) C O B
We're planning on going to Eastbourne!
Chelsea's next manager to then only be sacked 5 months later
Every man comes to an age were they can no longer pull off the skinny jean look, amd im sorry to say the Dorking Manager has reached that stage, its time to let them go my firemd 😢
Haha I gave the skinny jeans up as well years ago 😂
Tbh not really a huge fan of Marc comes across a bit of David Brent but I won’t question his quality as a manager and a club owner.
He's definitely a character, we've only ever had positive experiences with him. Great for non-league.
Bunch of Amateurs turned me into a Dorking supporter all the way over in the States
That's amazing! Do you have a team in the States?
how can you not be a wanderers fan?
I know right!
Going to be a struggle bouncing back next season. Likes of Boreham wood, Hornchurch, Chelmsford, Bath, and Maidstone are strong. Dorking will struggle to finish above all of that…and that means the play offs at best.
😂
Time will tell! Marc was very confident he'd have the best squad
@@LocationFootball He was very confident the team would get top 7 and they finished second bottom.
I wouldn’t count his confidence as an indication of final position. Some bias there around very old lads playing who aren’t up to it, and who get torn a new one, is likely to cost him. That is what we have seen consistently as fans over the last 2 seasons.
Bro actually said Hornchurch 😂😂😂 give me a break mate
Dorking have a playing philosophy for years. Borehamwood will have a year of transition.
It will be maidstone and Dorking for the title.
hoping Dorking Wanderers will promotion again after relegated
We do too great club, always welcoming when we go down there
Worlds olded club is Sheffield FC, not Notts County
I've always wanted to go to Sheffield FC
@@LocationFootball they are building a new ground back in Sheffield, you could come up and cover that
@@Timrud1it would be funny if there ground shared at bramall lane
Lee Pearson on Aroundthegrounds done a vlog on Sheffield FC this season...Take a look lads as it's a great watch...⚽️👏🏻😍
@@Timrud1 that would be class pal. We'd love to
Dorking need a proper manager
Who would you recommend? Also what defines a 'proper manager'?
I appreciate that you need to attract viewers with the title, but you've effectively spoiled the ending of the BoA season (which you ironically praised during this video) - which is sure to affect the number of views Rich will get as a result, unfortunately. Was certainly frustrating seeing this video recommended.
We've praised BOA in all our visits to Dorking, they do a fantastic job. As you know there videos don't go out immediately after the result so it's already public knowledge as to what happens to Dorking. Bare in mind the season finished 6/7 weeks ago. Apologies it's spoiled it for you. But the BOA content is still always worth watching and I guarantee this won't effect Rich's views they're flying 🙌
this is a real football team mate. if you rely on a tv show to find out their results you’re a bit slow
Do you know why Harrison left?
He's gone to play full time football with York City in the National League 👍
@@LocationFootball good for him
Match done well, but now he’s out of his depth and should hand over the reins . He’s not a football tactician at this level
Hopefully he can turn it around
Great owner, but he's not a real Manager! It's become his EGO project who loves his own spotlight! He's taken the team as far as he can on enthusiasm, charisma, belief and passion alone, Well played! But Dorking needs a real manger now with a team style, method, real tactical nous! It's becoming more and more necessary now EVEN in the National League! No way does Marc have the time and know to scout new players and do all the negotiations and contract work, as well as training etc. If Dorking are to progress now, they can't simply remain a One Man Band! 🤔
Interesting thoughts David. Obviously he's done so well at the club 13 promotions to get to national league. Big season ahead for Dorking.
you seem emotional mate
Tactical nous like Southgate? Marc is superb. Carry on the good work sir! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Mark chats shite.....he has said on multiple platforms/podcasts, if they ever got relegated he would sack himself as manager.
Clueless
Fair to say you're not a fan?
@@LocationFootball when I first saw the Dorking videos and Marc white, I thought he is was decent and honest. But it's clear now he is full of crap. Everything is about him not the team.
@@nickcullum7305 fair enough pal. We appreciate you watching the vid 👍
I think after 13 promotions he can cut himself a bit of slack 😂
If a gaffer says he is gonna leave when they are relegated on several podcasts and then doesn't.......think about @@joecurran2811
Can amateur clubs become professional clubs
If they make enough money, normally they have to be at least one of the best teams in the national league
Yes
Well Dorking are Semi pro and yeah lots of clubs in the national league have made the switch, however the biggest issue is alot of players have 2nd jobs that tend to pay more than semi pro clubs so it takes alot of money to ensure teams can switch, and a change in training programs fo
Yes they can, it's a long journey. Dorking aren't too far away but it's taken 25 years. Their story is incredible
Have you played FM you can take a 7th teir team that usually starts semi pro or rookie level get to league 2 where you must go professional.
Maybe one thing that will happen is, we will hear less from a Home Counties Chavvy Potty Mouth Spiv for at least a season ???
Racism , has no place on football Marc white is clearly a racist. The only team in the top five division not to have a single black or Asian player in his squad. Not just this season bit any. I've looked at all previous squad photos on Google. Never a single black player. Yet only half hour drive from south London and absolute hotbed of football. I'm glad Dorking are going down. I heard he never signs Gingers either, he doesn’t like red hair
Racist, grow up not good enough you don't play, you sound a clown like sol Campbell
You’re a bellend
@@Sheepwillbesheepi head he doesnt sign anyone thats left handed....when will the discrimination end 🤣🤣
I don't think your comment is factually correct.
I'm in kenya currently but I'd like to play for dorking someday 🫡🫡
Amazing you're watching from that far away! Thank you
I think he is on speed dial to Andy Woodman. Seem to get on and I've seen him several times at the club many similarities.
We took 130 years
Such a tough league to get out of. Fair play to Andy and his side. Great achievement
What a ledge
Thanks for watching 👍
He is literally the unsackable manager. Sounds like a great person too.
Technically he is yes. He's a top bloke. Go visit a game if you get a chance
