I've been bald for 14 years and all the wigs I've had were either itchy or too tight or both and I want to try them again

I definitely suggest measuring your head and truly ensuring you have the proper size! Also using a wig cap or wig grip just so the wig isn’t directly in your skin! I wish you luck and hope you find one that feels more comfortable for you ❤️

I am looking at stopping treatment for my alopecia as it isn't really working and I am struggling with self confidence issues. I am looking at just shaving it and going to a wig.
Does wearing a wig really help with self esteem? I am worried that I will go from worried about my spots showing to worried about it being obvious I'm wearing a wig, and it doesn't really solve my self esteem regarding my hair.

Initially you may still feel uncomfortable and insecure about your wig! I am not going to lie. Just be because it will be such a new thing for you! But if you hang in there and give it some time i think that can change! I know so many amazing women I follow on instagram who wear wigs and have fun with them like I do and I know it’s truly helped them like it has helped me! It shifted my focus from “I wish I had hair” to “oooh which hairstyle do I wanna wear today”. I hope that makes sense!

@@caelenbosisto5802 it does, thank you. I am so nervous, but watching videos like yours is helping it become less scary.

Hi, I have been wearing longer wigs up in a pony tail this summer. I have found thin wigs like Amore Miranda work best. Longer wigs work great up, but long synthetics worn down are a hot mess. They fray easily even though they are so pretty. How long have you had JR Blake? How is she holding up? Honestly, JR HH has a lot of problematic reviews due to the highly processed hair they use (even their Remy hair). I love their synthetic pieces though. Great variety and colors. Would you recommend JR hair and what is longevity with daily wear and proper care?
I do notice that many women who wear wigs end up with human hair. I don't necessarily need to wear wigs, but I have chronic telogen effluvium. I need to give my hair a break when this major sheds hit. I wear my hair straight and boring. Nothing fancy, and I would just be looking for a lower density lob or slightly longer. How long have your human hair pieces last? I want to try one, but I don't want to spend a ton to be disappointed. I am thinking of going with a Madison Wigs. Shannon, the owner of the company, is super knowledgeable and her products get great reviews. I know European hair would work best, but I don't want to spend over $2000. Would you recommend Mongolian hair or Indian hair? I have flat, fine, very dark bio hair. Sorry for all the questions, but I got so excited when I noticed you were wearing HH. I love your reviews.

So my JR Blake is very new! But I could come back and update once I’ve had her for longer! I have had human hair wigs last me many years though. But it really depends on how often you wear it, and how you care for it I feel so it’s hard to say an exact amount you know? I agree with synthetics. I’m finding I’m starting to gravitate a lot more towards shorter synthetics for day to day! They just hold up better.

Also, I have been following Madison wigs! I agree her pieces look so beautiful and so far I have only seen good things said about the owner. I would love to try one myself actually. And I love virgin remy hair. I am not sure I have a ton of experience with Mongolian or Indian hair so it would be hard to say.

Ok so, if I want a piece for day to day wear it should be a shorter synthetic bc of care?
Sounds like I need two pieces bc I definitely want a long piece and I’m thinking she should be real hair but I will only wear her on date nights and such...

Honestly I feel like my collection isn’t complete without a long human hair piece and a short synthetic for day to day! So yep, you got it. In my opinion at least 😀

This one is from Jon Renau! They have a great tab on their website listing all retailers online and in person!
