I LOVE the Glarry box in the back of the truck with all of that vintage gear!
That cherry 335 is unbelievably beautiful. I need this guitar!
I believe that’s technically a 330
@@CW0123 I guess it looks like a 335 TDC
I owned one in 1980 bought it for 600 $ in a small shop at West Palm Beach FLA.
Was a 66/67.
What will you pay nowadays?
10k - 20k $ ?
Crazy
@@CW0123 I am quite certain that the 330’s had P90’s.
@@CW0123 def a 335 those are not p90’s and norm knows his stuff 🤩
@@steviec67 WITH THE VOLUTE DO YOU THINK ITS A NORLIN ERA?
Norm has special vintage guitar finding powers👍 He is the guitar whisperer
He just goes to the vintage guitar shows. The difference is he has bread and I don’t. I whisper, but no one hears.
@@benlogan430 Read his books and check facts
$$$ speaks LOUDLY!
He's not whispering, he's just buying in large volumes at public shows.
He just goes to guitar shows and tries to buy people's collections in bulk to help lower his cost. It's business 101...
That’s what sets Norm apart from the majority of dealers. Many would not admit a factory refinish that looks that good. Not that It will affect the price or value, but Norm is full disclosure all the time. People respect that kind of business ethics and honesty. Norms a rare instrument himself
I'd love to see a bench inspection video of that 1966 Strat. It looks almost Sherwood Green now, but whether it started off as Lake Placid or Ocean Turquoise can be determined by looking inside.
4:34 that's clearly a faded 3-tone!
Love that hardtail strat. Fender needs to make more of them!
Robert Cray artist series. MIM and a great strat!!! Then there's also the custom shop version :-)
I have a 75 3 color sunburst hard tail strat. First guitar when I was 14 and used 70’s stats were looked down on. Now it’s 3K on reverb. Unreal. It’s my number 1. Well tied with a PRS. McCarty 594 core model
I love these videos when Norm comes back with lots of guitars.
Fun to see the Norm’s family hard at work behind the scenes! Assuring us that there will be many great GOTDs to come.
If someone is going procure, all these guitars, glad it's someone with the love, knowledge and passion for the instruments.
This dude?🤣😂 Norm’s a hustler from way back.
Man I thought I was in heaven seeing these incredible vintage instruments!
Awesomeness Galore!
Thanks Norm!
OMG! It never ends, every blanket uncovers another layer of guitars. We need more biscuits! 🤠
Norm has impeccable knowledge and taste. It's no wonder such big stars frequent his shop.
I see you bought a Schwinn Sting-Ray! 😎👍
Being around Norman is like hanging out with Santa Claus everyday, you never know what you are going to see but you know it is going to be special.
It's not easy having a new guitar every day for GOTD.
The classic showrunner's dilemma.
Jen hollering, "Norm, I need more guitars!! Yesterday!"
(:
It was my pleasure to meet you at the show, Norm. I know you will find good homes for the guitars I sold you there.
Could watch Norm open guitar cases all day. Some cool stuff. Thanks for sharing.
Norm is a GOD! Thanks so much for being there🏆
LMAO! I love 'Cival War Randy'. He prioritised his horse and need for biscuits.
The Norm went shopping videos are my absolute favorite videos. Love seeing so many at one time.
Norm you’re doing an excellent job, you’ve such a passion for guitars, so worth while. Just to own one of those guitars would be amazing so I’m just getting off on viewing them online, thanks. I rediscovered guitars at age 61 and I just can’t get enough of them; what is it about guitars….?! Anyway, thanks again and just keep bringing them on 😀
Always love it when Norm brings in more guitars and basses.
Norm your the best guitar guy thanks again for your help today! Norm take it easy your show needs you alive and today your working hard!
A little inside info of how this works: When I walked into the show Saturday morning, most of these guitars had already been purchased and were stacked under tables in Norm’s booth. Vendors get to “pick” each other’s stock before the show starts. I thought the prices were high as well. As far as “Risked My Life” goes, it might have been because the vendors had to prove vaccination, and the patrons did not. I found that odd for a Larry Briggs ran guitar show….in TEXAS!
Yeah, it’s ridiculous. I feel bad for the vendors having to be pressured just to do business. Such stupidity
For sure. I almost cancelled my trip…but went anyway. I’m looking forward to the next Texas show in Spring of ‘22. Hopefully things will be better.
@@lofideltaguitars8484 me too. Although it’s nothing like the good old days when I worked for Larry Morgan Music. You could actually buy several vintage guitars for a couple grand if you knew what to look for. Now everyone thinks they have museum pieces.
I love that green Schwinn Stingray in the box van. I had a new one of those in the 70s.
I love these videos, always a joy to watch.
The Dallas guitar show has been way high on prices for years. I stopped going to it because it a number of years ago. Im curious how he "risked your life" going to a guitar show and buying guitars?
Good-gosh-almighty, you pickup up some beautiful guitars this time, Norm. That candy apple red Tele bass killed me. I just need it to start raining money. HeHe
Takes me back to my childhood when the ice cream truck came down the street! "Supply chain issues" ? Sounds like classic old guitar salesman talk!
I was at this show. The Dallas/Arlington shows are the best! I remember seeing some of these guitars at the show.
Thanks for the content Norm. Have been playing for just over a year and you and Michael have been guiding me and my collection. When I find the one that's just right for me... I'll give you a shout to make the buy. Be safe and thanks for doing what you do!
Merry Christmas!🎸🎶☮️❤️😍✌️
Norm you are a Guitar Hero! Well done 😎
Everyone of these is like a little bit of Christmas morning. Great job Team Norm.
It's easy to see but Norm really loves these guitars. Of course so do I!
Would have loved to see Norm tooling abound the show on that Stingray with the banana seat......
Loved seeing all of these. Thanks for showing us.
Wow! Some beautiful guitars Norm.
Thanks Norm...you do great stuff for All the music world. You are a very talented person!!🎵🎶🎵
Sherwood green? My ‘63 strat was originally that color. But it was already refinished “natural” when I bought it it the late seventies.
Love the new guitars!
It's harder to forge vintage guitars now, with the supply chain issues. :P
Ironically it will cause prices to rise
WE LOVE YOU NORM!!!..THANK YOU! :)
❤️❤️ that L5-CES and Natural Johnny Smith double pickup.
Hey Norm... I noticed the box in the back of the van... How many of those Vintage Glarry Guitars did you get?
And here I thought I was a shopaholic. You've got me beat by far, Norm.😁
GEEZ I'VE ONLY BOUGHT 3 COOL OLD VINTAGE INSTRUMENTS THIS MONTH
HEY! IT'S ONLY OCTOBER 23rd
CARLOS GUITARLOS 90042
I love old guitar men.
I always get along with them.
Norm bought, in one shopping trip, almost as many guitars as I own in total!!
One thing I have learned from these videos, and that is gold foil pickups are no joke. These days, we have hybrid high power (more wild windings!) and the secret gold foil tech for a sound I would never have predicted.
Good to see your latest additions Norm......cheers from NZ.
Norm has supreme taste in guitars. And deep pockets to back it. Those old jazz boxes are the bomb. And the '60 strat. Rosewood neck. Played a '59 a friend had in the 70's.
prices were way up... we noticed that too!
guitar friends🎶🎵🎶
WE LOVE YOU NORM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The green bannana seat bike in the truck lol
Just a comment on the Johnny Smith guitar. Good on you Johnny for NOT wanting Gibson to narrow the neck. For the life of me I can't understand why ANYONE would want a thinner neck, especially down at the nut.
Now OK, I've got gorilla hands, so much so that most ES-335s are just so much kindling wood to me.
But just the same, surely it'd be nicer to play a guitar on which the chords located in farmyard corner would ring out easier with no unintentional muting from the fretting hand?
I search Ebay quite often and it's heartbreaking to see what, at first, seems like a guitar that'd suit me fine, only to discover that it has a thinner neck than I can play.
Yep buy em all up and jack the prices so only the elite can get one!
If I could work anywhere I would love to work for you Norm cool store cool Boss. Best wishes from a rainy Manchester UK, love the 71 tele same age as Me 😃😃
Those guitar shows must get psyched when they see Norm coming in.
All those 1968s… my birth year. Someday I will own a guitar from ‘68
awesome batch mr norman cheers!
Wow. That L5 and The Johnny Smith were beautiful !!!
Wow. Great buys Norm! Congratulations 🎊🍾🎈🎉
Thanks for sharing Norm, what great guitars you get ahold of.
What a straight shooter and I love the reactions of the videographer.
norm is really cool man .. i like his charismatic aura .. man i really would do it all to visit norms guitar shop and buy myself a guitar !!
i mean . one for 200 dollar bcause im broke as hell . but man that guitar would be the guitar of my life !! but i now got myself 3 jobs .. so i can safe a lil bit for my trip hopefully one day to norms guitar !!!
⚓️ Thanks Norm 😎
I'm voting Lake Placid Blue on the 66' Strat.......pull the pickguard and lets find out.....
Some stunning guitars there!
Hello Norm! From your friend ArchAngel Michael! Very nice 👍
Why would supply chain issues affect vintage guitars in the US?
They don’t. It’s the excuse everyone’s using to explain away inflation.
I’m thinking about buying that vintage Martin D-45
I always have to Grab Ma Guitar After watching your Videos doesnt matter what time it is
Buy it !
The "Obstinate Rebel" earned my "like" in the 1st minute ha
Norm needs to put a replication guitar in the mix that's "flawless!", then, drop it on the floor!! "Doh!"
Norm , you got my to smile again. Thanks . see you when I get there.,Buddah
I think I see my Schwin “Pea Picker” 5-speed bike from 1970 in the back of the truck ? I’ll take that and the 1960 Strat as a package deal ! 😎
Norm you always know what is best for the end user, which ones to pass on and which to buy! Or you wouldn’t be in business for this many years! Stay safe out there.
Norm your the best !!! thats why we love your store and all of your videos
Always great vids, demos, chat. Thanks so much for this post. Where else can we see such guitars and you speak about each... terrific..
Yeah... I want one...lol
Nice shoping !!!
Norm rule the Vintage Market
Stunning instruments and cool bike i wanna see closer too😁
that strat is simply gorgeous !
they were sleeping in the truck. guarding the inventory no doubt.
I’m looking for a Sherwood green strat. Super hard to find one with the right specs in australia as I can’t afford vintage. Love the videos norm.
Freeze frame it at 4:42. Upside-down neck plate or is that one of those rare ones with the serial number stamped on the bottom part of the plate? Hard to see it clearly.
"I paid too much for it, now you can too" 🤣
That truck load is insane. What i'd give to even see that .
Thanx Norm you're keepin' it interesting
Some nice guitars there. Thanks Norm!
Awesome. Beautiful Guitars!
Love these videos 🎸🎸🎸
I never thought that Normans Rare Guitars was in an old shopping center.
Nice !
Great video as usual.....Thanks Norm!!
9:10 taking off the guard will tell you the color for sure.
You always know when Norm buys the best guitars when he says “I paid too much for it, now you can too!”
Love me a Red Tele Bass!!!!!!
Thanks for sharing Norm! More great guitars for GOTD!
someday I'm gonna buy a strat from Norms :)
