I have sewn for 50+ years and I actually teach 1 on 1 instructions in my home. Your tool list was helpful. I have subscribed to your channel and look forward to your content and sharing with my students. Thank you
So funny you mentioned threadbanger, I have a janome machine from the threadbanger collab I got in 2009, attempted a project with tricky fabric without enough knowledge and got discouraged, and am finally learning and trying again now! I wish I had listened to my mom more before she passed but I'm grateful for all the info online. Thanks for this helpful video, I subscribed!
Tricky fabric has broken so many hearts. Good for you for giving it another chance. Hope you get some fond memories of your mom and those spiritual connecting moments while on your sewing journey. What have you made so far now that you’re back at it?
@ Hi yes, I got my skates back in 2020 but haven’t been consistent grrr lol I make and Dance Hoops more since summer 2016 it’s so much fun! I have another channel I’m trying to grow as the same time as this one called Wildflower Hooper. If you live in the North East I’d love to give you a beginner intermediate and an off body advanced Hoop. UA-cam Dance Hooping and Hoopalicious, she’s the OG. Let me know what you think about it! Take care!
@@DelayaBriscoe Girl! It’s Hula Hoop 2.0 lol it’s just dancing while keeping the hoop up. I know this older lady that hoops I think it’s called Holistic hoops by Denise E Williams! She’s awesome!
lol look, I just tried to hula hoop with my daughter last week and the way that hoop wouldn’t stay up was embarrassing lol. Hula hoop 2.0 sounds like a doozy!

@@Sammy-cy4tj welcome to sewing. What made you start? And thanks, It’s a shirt I helped designed for Walmart a couple years back.
@ you’re quite welcome. It was a goal from last year to learn a new skill. Oh… ok.
Were you able to see anything last year?

@DelayaBriscoe so far just scrunchies, an apron, reusable fabric gift bags, and a bad attempt at pajama pants that I need to try again!
@ not “just”, that’s a lot! And you improve with each project. Do you know why your pajama pants didn’t turn out as expected?
WOW i was thinking about starting to learn sewing this year and guess what- I SAW THIS VID! thxxx
@@RMASAiN_Disguise Nice!! Love to hear it!! If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
I’m still learning about zippers and buttons
Which do you like better, buttons or zippers?
@@DelayaBriscoe both
@@elisaluckett1439 lol, you’re an equal opportunist with closures?
What do you mean?
You said you liked both zippers and buttons, which are closures. So doesn’t matter what the project throws at you, you’re okay either.
I am loving that sweatshirt.....where did you get the fabric? I have it in cotton
@@fasloan thank you, I actually didn’t make this. Well myself. I designed it for my job for Walmart a few years back.
I want to see because I want to be able to make things I’m proud of
