Great videos. I just got "new" to me 2000 Corolla. I seemed to have a stuck air output selector door, so that I couldn't turn my control knob all the way counter-clockwise -- to select upper air only. I'd guessed some obstruction found it's way in the mixing box. Instead it was one of the white cams on the left side of that box. A post had come out of a slot. I popped it in, and voila. Thanks for showing me how to get to where I could view the control rod behind the knob That was key.
To replace the lights just remove the front panel, unbolt the 2 screws for the AC/Heat panel and pull back only 1-3 inches, twist the 2 black connectors to remove the two lights and pop out each bulb, there are 2-JKL EWG203 Lamps 14V 0.115A
If you have the model without the separate panel around the climate control pull all 4 knops and remove the 2 screws behind them. Other vice it’s exactly the same.
Whoa, I've been looking all over on how to remove that console front part, other vids only show AFTER everything was removed! (useless), but this only appears to be needed to remove climate control I just want to remove the AT shift menu plate (PRNDL).
Do you know how to remove just the cup holder tray and replace the spring behind it ? My 2000 Corolla's cup holder spring broke, and I can't push it in and out, so I have to leave it out all the time or I need to get a flat header screw driver to pull it open, quite annoying.
Ying Chiu Luk if you have not figured it out by now for some reason or another u just pull it straight out. It has 2 locking tabs in the back that hold it in place. You will feel like it's going to break in ur hands, but you wont. There are no screws holding it in place or any other dash part. Just eject the holders themselves and maybe spray like wd-40, windshield cleaner or some sort of lubricant/degreaser on all sides and pull from the middle not the ends and just give it one good yank and I promise u it will come straight out. Bloomin heck, its cable madness lol :-) I liked the cables with the twin lobes, but why didnt they do that for all of them, odd company :-/. Oh, i dont think you will need to extract any v.w computers or emmission control units for a while ha ha, what a cock up lol.
