Yes. Great beginner whisky. Also for 40 bucks CAD it's a great deal for frequent drinks. I prefer their 12, but this cost is easier to take. Edit: no longer so cheap...not much cheaper now than the 12 and the 12 is nearing $70 🥲
You're right across the field but for me bourbon notes are very prominent with sweet corn on front but finish is rather tanninic. Slàinte Mhaith! Prost!
Horst Leuning is my whisky hero and I always consider his review before adding to my collection. However, other than saying this whisky has an aftertaste I totally disagree with this review. This whisky is disgusting and is now marketed as a mixer in cocktails. As it should!!
Furthermore, it's smell (yep, and tastes) like spirit "heads" and "tails" from Auchentoshan - very chemical, raw and unpleasant. Only many oak casks combinations and lots of years do good job with their spirits.
this was one of the worst whiskies I've ever had.. it had a real musty and musky note to it .. like the change room in a gymnasium after the game.. yikes
Did You noticed that Horst always pour his son less than himself? :)
ahaha just like my dad.
selfish
😂
I recommend trying this with a little ice. Completely freshens its flavour

I've never seen young Ben so distracted.
Is there a young lady flashing her eyes at him or can he see a parade passing by the window?
Maybe he was looking a computer for the live stream or live chat
@@drax14QC Yeah it seemed like camera/computer issues to me
For $40 a bottle it’s a great dram

Very nice whiskey
Auchentoshan was founded by Irishmen and that's why its triple distilled.
Is Coconut a nut or a fruit???? .... Hahahahaha!!... (just finished a bottle!! . Its very nice beginner whisky!!)......
It's seed.. lol
AAO is like sucking the icing sugar off of a Bassett's Jelly Baby. Very strange.
Well said!!

Look like The son no point in camera..
just bought it for 21 EUR. Great Whiskey and great deal. However, like Horst more on his own and without his son (sry bro)....
Personally I find the America oak one of my least favourite Whiskies ever. I find that it has an extremely bitter finish and after taste.
Yeah, I remember trying it a long time ago and it was ok. I've had it again since, and it was pretty lousy.
Furthermore, it's smell (yep, and tastes) like spirit "heads" and "tails" from Auchentoshan - very chemical, raw and unpleasant. Only many oak casks combinations and lots of years do good job with their spirits.
Agreed
160 proof. Lol
