If your PS5 controller keeps having the "tac" sounds on the L2/R2 parts after installing the Micro Switch version Clicky Kit, please refer to this link: / how_to_solve_the_probl...
We've finally worked out the MICRO SWITCH version of CLICKY hair triggers kit! Compatible with both BDM-010 & BDM-020 PS5 controllers! (NOT for the latest BDM-030)
The micro switch version has a longer lifespan (over 3 million cycles), and the real gaming mouse clicks feedback.
There are 2 versions of the micro switch Clicky hair triggers kit, the standard L2R2 version, and the strong L2R2 version, the installation for them is the same.

Is there suppose to be a light buzzing noise that comes and goes every 3secs? Its coming from the adaptive tiggers.
Same problem over here… can I do something about it ??
I have the same problem but can’t figure it out
I think you have to turn off that setting in the PS5
@@Jags4lifeJames You have to either cut the the wires off . Turning them off in the settings doesn't work. Had same issue.
It’s the adaptive trigger motor, since u are not using it just cut the wires.
I got these for my ps4 controller and they are a must have. So easy to install
Thank you!
@@ExtremeRate I just got the tactile mouse click triggers, is there a way to make it to where the triggers will have a longer pull? Or is there a product similar but with a longer pull for the triggers? The short pull messes with my aim. Also i wanted to buy the back paddles, it will still work with the triggers correct? Thank you for your time.
I think compare to my regular clicky trigger this is actually harder to use on tapping semi auto weapon. It also takes more effort to press than the regular. I know it sounds weird but I have both regular clicky trigger and this new one.
So would you go for the first ones? Are the first release ones mouse clicks

Both triggers are tight? Finally was able to get briquette thing to stay but still really stiff? Any fix don’t wanna return 18:44
My L2 is harder to click what can i do
So it’s going to take a whole hour or even more to put these on where you have to literally take the controller apart? Also I don’t even know what kit I need to disassemble the controller and put it back together.
Hello, will you make a mouse switch kit for face buttons at some point ? I tried the Extremerate Face Clicky Kit but those weren't mouse switches, they were much harder to press in comparison to actual mouse switches. Thx
Thanks for your suggestion, but there is not enough space for the face buttons with the micro switchs. Hopping we will find a way in the future
Standard or strong?
When will you guys make a version for the bdm-030?
HELP
After installing these my controller is beeping constantly??? But when I hold the two triggers down simultaneously the beeping stops? Until I let go again
WHAT IS HAPPENING????
Thanks👍
ExtremeRate > Scuf
What is the difference between the strong and light version?
What I understood is the “clic” for R1/R2 L1/L2 is louder in the strong version
I can't seem to get the the black plastic you snap off to place under the trigger to stay in place. They show it clicks in but min just sits there and then falls out when trying to put the pin back in to attach the trigger again.. 😢
Could you please take pictures for your triggers closely and then send to me? ray(at)extremerate.com
Which feel better the standard or the strong?
I was considering strong 🤔
Personally, I prefer the strong version.
This kit supported on third generation pads ?
My Controller has a constant buzzing sound. Even when i turn trigger effect off
Mine does this aswell!! so frustrating, did you find any way to fix this issue
Last week I had just modified my dualsense with Tactile Version Clicky Hair Trigger Kit, because they do this to me 😭😭😭😭
The one you mod was good enough lol

Hi, after my tactile switches wore out I upgraded to these Micro switches (Light version) I find that sometimes the L2 and R2 buttons don't release properly after I click them in resulting in missed clicks. Any idea where I could have gone wrong?
UPDATE: I have fixed this by making sure my triggers were sanded down completely flush where you cut the notch off and also making sure the trigger housing was not screwed back too tightly.
Glad to know that you've fixed the issue. Yes, because we will take the gear and the tiny cover out, if you screw the trigger housing too tight, it will stop or interferes the triggers go down or come back
I need some help. After installing the trigger kit my triggers are making a weird buzzing noise like something is spinning inside.
Mine are doing this aswell now, did you figure out a way to fix this issue
you have to disconnect the small motors from the force feedback. the red and black wire
What happens is that during installation you most likely changed the position of the potentiometer in the motorhouse. If you have the trigger in your hand, you have 2 sides. One with 3 screws, one side with only one. Take the side with the one screw and the small mainboard on it. And there you will see a small circle which can be turned with a flat side. The flat side should be a little bit off-center from the top. Turned to the left. When it's in that direction, the buzzing noise should be gone. Just check how it's in the good working side. An idea would be to tape it in position.
Just got these and the l2 and r2 feel really hard to pull. There is no button travel and it takes a lot to effort to press. Maybe i did something wrong when installing. If anyone knows odd a fix please help.
I just finished installing these on my ps5 controller and they are working great. HOWEVER, my controller is now making a concerning on and off constant buzzing noise. Is there anyway to fix this issue? I have already turned off the adaptive triggers through playstation settings and it did not change anything.
Got the same issue mate…

Did you face any issue like L1 R1 harder to press?
@Abdullah Nasir no absolutely no issues what so ever
When are you releasing something for the BDM-030?
Fax I bought them without knowing that it was only going to work for certain models of the PS five controller and purchased it and now I don’t know what to do because I don’t have a PDM to 10 or 20
My L2 R2 feel very tight feels like I have to press hard while l1 r1 are nice and loose, did I install wrong?
Same here. Some people fixed shaving a bit the insert.
Is there any way to do this withput the button brackets, makes L2 R2 really stiff for me
Nach dem umbau spinnt der motor und dreht im sekundentakt

I broke my controllers by following these steps and i don't have any controllers to play on my PS5.
Life hack: watch this with the sound turned off.

I have a problem. Now my controller is making strange intermittent sound on the left side… any help?
nice work on the new clicky triggers. May i suggest we get ps5 controller faceplates with notches around the sticks similar to the ones seen on gamecube and wii controllers?
Thanks for your suggestion, we will think about it!
My controller ps5 controller is nothing like this one and it broke
it works just be VERY careful when cutting off the parts on the bdm-20 on the place where the thing goes, i broke mine and habe to order a complete new one, £14 down the drain
Just got mine and they are the best trigger stops faster than a mouse click I can now shoot a pistol faster than the speed of light
These aren't trigger stops though lol
@Tonkal it’s a mouse click trigger stop
I’ve purchased 3 different models of extreme rate hair trigger kits over the years and this is by far the worst one. What a horrible design.. and this tutorial is horrible. Ended up taking my controller apart 3 different times trying to get it to work, had to file my r1 for whatever reason due to them not mentioning it till the end of the video, the triggers are good but the bumpers are harder to press than previous models of “hair triggers” even with the light version. Just stick with the older models if you don’t mind a loose feel to l2 and r2
If I want mechanical buttons on R1 and L1 only, can I cut off the trigger loop, will it work? Will it work on the Dualsense Edge?
I’ve seen multiple clicky trigger kits from extreme rate and I been wondering, which one is the best?
Hello guys I have the Rise 4 back buttons and this Clicky Hair Triggers for my ps5 controller but when I turn on my controller it vibrates contstantly like every 2 seconds, is that normal? I already check the connector and everything is perfect connected :( hope you can help me thank you!
i think it could be the adaptive motors vibrating

Just installed mine on the second generation controller. I have an issue though where when I press the touch pad, it activates R2. I also noticed that the haptic motors are pulsing when the controller is on now. Didn't happen with the old tactile triggers. Has anyone had these issues or is there any solution to this?
The installation on the right side worked so far but I'm having problems with the left side. The L2 Button is pressed down permanently because theres no space between the components. What can I do in this case? I have a Version BDM-010 controller but the Buttons (also by extremerate) are shaped like the BDM-020.
I’m having the same issue with my right side 😩 it seems to be ok until I put the gear and cover over the metal rod 😡
@@laurenxxbickel I somehow managed to make IT work without modifying the komponents: I think you have to take care, that the spring is in the right place so it Supports the Button. I didn't realise it several Times before and was really frustrateda bout it so I called it a day and tried it next day with more patience. It still was not that easy, especially putting the rod back in while holding the other components in place with one hand. I hope I explained it comprehendably, I'm not speaking natively english. Don't give up, it is possible ;)
Important to know: when Assembled the right way the Button will have no wiggle outwards so it has enough space.
@@BattleCore94 im having this problem now and i have no idea how to fix it :(
@@TheHauntingMelody it's not easy but I managed to get it working. Maybe ask someone to help you push the rod through while you hold the trigger in place. You should try to watch the spring position while assembling it. You got this ;)
You didnt cut the motor connectors. Does this kit prevent the loud noice from haptic feedback or is it the same with the other click trigger kit?
I wish I could put these in my scuf reflex controller as much I am grateful to have one as it was gifted I would love to have the clicky triggers instead of the regular adaptive triggers could this be done?
If you haven’t done yet, yes you can do this on reflex
Anyone else having trouble getting the R2/L2 metal pin holes to line up?
MEEE!!! It was the most hardest part. My fingers are still hurting...
What if i skip the part where you polished the l1 and r1 buttons will that cause problems?
I did not polish them that why my L1 R1 are too hard to press
What’s the difference from strong and light??
which version to choose details are missing what is the difference between basic . tactile. strong light...?? we don't know what to buy

Now when I install the factory one R2 doesn’t work and R1 does (ON A NEWER CONTROLLER) can anyone tell me what’s happening? (Clicky kit with the blue switch)
Hello! I have a 040 controller, and I’m looking for the compatible click triggers , it seems does not exist…actually it is not clear for me if I can install the 030 trigger in the 040 pad…do anyone have an idea what to do…???
Is there any plans to introduce clicky switches that can be toggled off and on: ie one mode being clicky mouse click switch mode, and then the other being full travel analogue triggers (with adaptive trigger mode also active)?
I love the Flexor kit for xbox that lets you toggle between full throw analogue vs hair trigger and I would love to see this tech reach the Dualsense one day. Understandably the dualsense is a lot more complicated.
I have a hypr controller but im assuming they use ur parts why is the l1 r1 click buttons so damn loose/ wobbly? They literally rattle when moving the controller around so beyond damn annoying please help me to fix this i hate it sounds like a cheap chinese ali baba controller
This was so incredibly hard to do, didn't work somehow, and I ended up having to buy a new controller because I couldn't get it back together. Such a waste.
Yeah I already did the rise 4 metal buttons on the controller that came with my PS5, I ain't going for this. I actually did 2 controllers that should have been exactly the same, same the 30 model, but there was some slight difference inside. Different color and type of ribbon tape and I can notice a difference with the feel of the analog stick, I haven't been able to find a controller with as smooth of an analog stick as the one that came with my PS5. Anyone know where to get the ones they ship with the PlayStations?? They are different
I just installed mine everything went great, except I confused on the little felt pieces and how my l1r1 seems really stiff and hard to use consistently. Is this what they mean to file some down to help improve that??
My RB bumper is still working but not clicking smoothly. It requires a bit more pressure yet my LB is perfect. Is this an easy solution or a possible damage issue? My R2 works no problem at all
Great tutorial except for one thing, why would you have those two tips to cut the plastic off and file down the l1 buttons at the end of the video? Don't you think you would tell us that before we install the ribbon in? Come on

I fitted these clicky triggers, clicky buttons and the paddle kit to my ps5 pad and now it’s making a vibrating noise. How do I fix this please?
Would this kit fit a Reflex Scuf controller?
mine has an issue with the micro not clicking and its not the lever that normally breaks its actually the clicky button thanks in advance.

After the instalation the controller (motor) gives a tackling sound every few seconds! What can i do??
just have a quick question for the community. Would you guys pleas lmk if you actually need the plastic inserts for this mod?
Will you get banned from Apex, Warzone or similar online multiplayer, for using these triggers?
i cut the cylinder and then screw the included black screw normal size, not the small one, and adjust the travel distance to your liking.
Could you do a quick video showing the process for only the R1/L1 or is it only the very last step including the felt like tape?
You can't just install the L1R1
@@ExtremeRate Sad face! I got a second controller so I wouldn't miss out on haptic games. Gonna install this soon! The back buttons I installed from you are 100x better than the back buttons for PS4 from those strike pack people.

Would this work on any PS5 controller I ask because I have Battle Beaver PS5 Controller

Great tutorial as usual. So this is the improved version for the previous triggers. Many of my customers had issue with the R2 L2 breaking off or L1R1 getting stuck! Hope this is a stronger design!
Thank you bro! We are waiting for your feedback!
@@Imcrimsoncuh If you want a bit more travel, we suggest you to try the old TACTILE version www.amazon.com/dp/B09LTTMYK8/
@@ExtremeRate Just installed and tested it. It has a nice mouse click to it, little too loud for my liking but thats personal. For me I think that R1 and L1 could be a little tighter (shorter) travel.
Also the little black plastic insert in the R1 and L1, doesn't it fall out easily? I put it in and it fell out as soon as I held it up. Luckily you provided spares cause got another one and that held but it seems if its held with only the 2 black prongs, it's bound to fall out? Little more effort installing versus the older version but I assume its a better design
@@Lighterz1907 Thanks for your feedback. If the inserts keep falling off, you can use a tiny of crazy glue to make them fix, and we will try to find a better design to make them fix better.
@@ExtremeRate yea thought about glue myself, might be an option. Also where is your PS5 LED kit install video? The one you have now seems outdated cause the new kits have a new flex cable. Managed to get mine working and it seems to replace the right flex cable on the rise kits? I managed to figure it out but I’m sure many will be confused
Hi, after doing everything as you showed, I now have a mechanical warning signal what could it be or is this normal?
Very happy about the product! I really recommend this product to everyone that likes a “mouse click” 😁
Is there a chance we can get back membrane buttons for the new gen controllers ? So we can have an option to buy the paddles or the buttons. I think having both options will be a game changer and will also be the first company to do so.
Thanks for your suggestion, but could you please let me know more details about your suggestion? I'm not clearly understand
@@ExtremeRate Sorry for the confusion. My suggestion does not correlate with this video but i was asking if we could get the option to have either back buttons (membrane style like the face buttons) or back paddles which we already have with Rise2 and Rise4. I feel like having the 2 options to purchase would be a great addition and also be one of the first companies to provide this service.
@@BaneIsAlive I understand now, thanks. We are working on a new solution for back buttons, the real buttons. Please stay tuned!
@@BaneIsAlive rear buttons are also widely used but they are tactile. We use them daily but as for membrane buttons companies usually shy away from them. Most buyers prefer the clicky tactile feel over membrane. I have some extremely lite 100g switches that feel similar to membrane but they still have a light click.
