Unfortunately I don't as I don't have a good setup for being able to record while soldering new sticks/potentiometers. I recently replaced 2 sticks for the new gulikit electromagnetic sticks and the results are great so far! You're able to calibrate your drift with those.
I push a little bit harder on my R2 and my Reflex FPS instant triggers keep breaking. Thinking about installing these in them when my warranty expires, as well I’ve had to send it in 5 times. Do these feel sturdy? Thanks
Hallo, I've got to say thank you! Your Extremerate Videos are very detailed and you can follow each step without a single problem! But the one question I am asking myself, and I didn't find it in the Video details, what is that screw driver? Can you link it? Thanks a lot again!
I would also install the extremerate thumbsticks they are better than the sony ones and changeable like you can do with the edge. What happens if you don't disable the adaptive triggers?
Only thing I'm curious about is if im trying to drive a vehicle with R2 and L2, will this make it so that i drove slow since i cant press it in all the way? Ive tried a trigger stop before and that was the result
No it won't be slower because you're still pressing on the Switch, only sooner, since there's a little piece you put under your triggers. But it's recommended haptic feedback is turned of with the hair triggers installed. Edit: this kit is only for fps players in mind. With racing games it'll go from 0-max speed. Lower speeds can't be maintained.
Wow good point, I didn't think about how it will work in racing games, with Normal L2 and R2 we can slower down the vehicle but I don't think we can do the same with clicky hair triggers. I think we need to dedicate this clicky hair trigger controller only for shooting games
That's exactly what it was intended for, fps. This video is outdated. I have an updated video and another one I'm going to work on for the new micro switch triggers.
@@im.a.caveman So new micro switch triggers suitable for both FPS and Racing games? Asking it because my order will ship tomorrow and I selected Custom FPC Cable Mouse Click Micro Switch Shoulder Bumper Trigger Strong Click Hair Trigger Kit" Model Number: PFMD009
Would it be possible to have clicky bumpers but normal triggers? Really don’t wanna loose the ability to play racing games / games that require differing trigger actuation / force.
7:33 the circular piece, in my case it dosnt want to go down all the way… if I do it somehow, can I just put them in and ignore the rest? I only care about l1 and r1 as my triggers to be honest.
You can do both. The thing about the hair triggers is haptic feedback should be turned off and shouldn't be used for racing. It was designed mainly wfor fps players. If it for racing you'll only be able to go from 0 to max speed. No slow press with the kit installed.
If I remeber correctly, from the gaming cobra website, if it's for North America I think the estimate is 1-2 weeks. But for the others I don't remember. I'll send a link on the shipping info from their site.
It's for the Rise Remap kit/back buttons. On the back of your original shell there's a model number: CFI-ZCT1W (BDM-010). CFI-ZCT1W A (BDM-020). The remap kit is only compatible with BDM-010. BDM can also be found on the motherboard itself.
I think I know what you mean. Like the little motor on the trigger itself keeps going "click click click click". Is that what you mean? It's happened to a control but I didn't install hair triggers on it. I have to see the problem for that one.
Hey, I’ve had my PS5 pro controller (scuf) and the R2 button does not work, like the trigger won’t register in game, and the “clicky” sound doesn’t seem to work. It isn’t my spring, but something else, do you have any suggestions? Thanks!
Hello bro, big fan of your videos, can you help me figuring out why after doing this steps in the video my ps5 controller only blinks in oramge once, and then nothing goes on?
For the triggers not sure. So far no one has mentioned a problem with the triggers. Usually they say that about the remap kit. I recommend reconnecting the wires and see if that helps. Thanks for being a fan!
That part at 11:47 is really hard to push in, i may have damaged the circuit try to pry it in using tweezers :(((( it is really not as easy as on the film, i have been trying for over an hour. Update: Success, but i guess the plastic bits were a half a mm too long. Praying the clicky circuit is intact..
Why my pieces don’t look like yours. I got everything in except for that last piece of plastic you put in that goes over the ribbon. Is yours the updated version.
Should be normal. This kit just helps to be able to press down on your triggers sooner which allows for a quicker trigger response. Only con is haptic feedback should be turned off.
unfortunately the ps5 trigger set does not work, all buttons (L2-L1-R2) work. Only the R1 button doesn't work, even if I press it correctly, how can I continue? will my button be defective? thank you very much.
@@magicnando1217 I recommend looking at that piece. If you say you connected the cables fully in, then take that trigger piece out and carefully check the R1 switch. Check if it seems like anything is damaged. If you want you can send pics/vids to my IG so I can also have a closer look. The closer and clearer the images are, the better. In case you DM me here's my IG account: instagram.com/im.a.caveman?
I want to get this for my controller since burst firing is a nightmare for some reason even with the trigger effect off, have to release the trigger the entire way basically to rapidly press it. However, I've already installed the back button kit with the additional ribbon cables and stuck it down to the battery, so I dunno if I wanna faff about taking it all apart lol
Think about it. I know it can be time consuming but I personally like not having to press down all the way. Kinda feels better for some reason. And then I switch to my other controller to use haptic feedback for some games.
@@im.a.caveman yeah I've been holding off getting a second controller hoping they'd release a limited edition one, Xbox has done loads so far. I'd then have one as the dedicated fps controller and the other for other games. Really good video btw :) very clear
It sounds like you have a BDM-030 or possibly 040. Those have triggers that do not get screwed off the controller. And there isn't a trigger kit compatible for 040 yet but there is for 030.
Hey man I just installed the paddles, is it going to be similar for me to install the triggers? It seems like a lot of work and I’m not sure if I wanna do it all cuz it’s kinda confusing
The triggers are it's own piece that unscrew from the control. If you get to that part, opening the triggers isn't so bad. If anything just keep watching a video until you feel comfortable to do it.
Can you drive vehicles in warzone? I bought the Ghost Trigger mod, but the triggers don’t fully engage and I can’t drive without having to slide the trigger stop out of the way. Please help
It's not recommended to install these if you're going to play racing games or use haptic feedback. I was playing spiderman with it but I turned off haptic feedback.
@@YoShiiftee Go to "Settings" then "Accessories" scroll to "Controllers" find the "Trigger Effect Intensity" option and then it'll show 4 choices, "Off, Medium, Weak, Strong". You can turn it off that way. I believe if you play a game that uses haptic feedback, they also have the options in their settings. I remember for COD I had turned it down in game.
Those are ceramic tweezers. You can try eBay or Amazon. You'll see a bunch of options to choose from. They were used for a different purpose since they're heat resistant but they've been great to use for customizing.
Yes. Because the triggers don't get pushed down fully it's recommended to not use haptic feedback. It's also not recommended to use for racing games. It would mainly be for fps. It won't have the slow pull function. So in a racing game you'll only be going full speed when pressing these triggers.
@@im.a.caveman thanks for replying. I watched another of your videos after asking this and you had answered. Thank you for your help, your videos helped me do hair triggers, button swap and back buttons! I did rip the touchpads ribbon cable but got a new cable ordered lol
It depends if its for a BDM-010 or BDM-020. The piece that goes on the side of the trigger was taken out for the updated triggers. BDM-020 has a bigger piece the goes in the L2/R2. It's a actually a video I'm working on that I'm hoping to upload by Sunday.
Got it working for a few days but my left trigger won’t pull or click now and I’ve opened it up, I can get it to click again but as soon as I put on the cover for the gear on the side it doesn’t click no more
If the trigger isn't moving, there's a chance you didn't hook over there trigger on that little piece that sticks out from the trigger module. You should be able to see it. Or if it's the gear, it could be the gear wasn't placed properly
@@im.a.caveman I thought it might be that so I was extra careful to make sure the metal piece was being put under properly, I got it to work now and it has something to do with the cover piece for the gear that holds it in place. Still doesn’t click the same as my R2 which is weird tho
After you replace it how does it feel when you play games where the l2 and r2 buttons have feedback? Like the rumble? Idk how to explain it, but essentially it is the feature in ps5 games that give feedback when pressing L2 and R2. If anyone who has done it can let me know I would really appreciate it. I do not want to lose that feedback feeling.
I think I explained in the video that hapticfeedback should be turned off. The travel distance is way less than the original so the haptic feedback isn't usable. It's also not ideal to use this kit for racing games since the slow press won't work. These were designed mainly for fps players in mind.
That was the case with the first paddles they had. And also depends how hard you squeeze them. They can be pressed easily. The updated paddles are supoise to be more durable now. I still have the first paddles and I also don't press them down like crazy. For me they're still good. I wanna know also mainly from people that have the updated paddles since I don't.

Thanks! The one on the video is specifically for BDM-010. Here's a link to extremerate's BDM-020 installation.

@@im.a.caveman Thanks, right after I posted the comment I decided to search and see and found their video showing the difference between the two. I appreciate the help and the great videos you make.
Im definitely gonna try this soon btw do u have videos on how to fix stick drift?
Unfortunately I don't as I don't have a good setup for being able to record while soldering new sticks/potentiometers. I recently replaced 2 sticks for the new gulikit electromagnetic sticks and the results are great so far! You're able to calibrate your drift with those.
I took the two springs out on the control board side of the tiggers and it’s feels insanely better
Have you have an issues with it breaking with harder presses?
I push a little bit harder on my R2 and my Reflex FPS instant triggers keep breaking. Thinking about installing these in them when my warranty expires, as well I’ve had to send it in 5 times. Do these feel sturdy? Thanks
I’m a big fan of your channel and I would love if you’d make a tutorial on how to do the led kit for DuelSense controller
Hi and thank you! Controller led video is happening. Not sure exactly when but I'm definitly going to upload that one.
@@im.a.caveman I’m pumped! Excited to see it
Hallo,
I've got to say thank you!
12:46 one of those oval like things in my controller, started clicking and I don’t know how to fix it
Do you first install the trigger kit or back button kit?
Thx
Triggers would go first then the back buttons.

Is it hard to do these clicky hair triggers after you already did the Rise4 remap back buttons??
It's just a few extras steps. A few more screws and cables to disconnect
@@im.a.caveman thanks. I got them both installed!
So the 4.0 remap kit is not compatible with the clicky hair trigger kit? Or I can do both?
You can do both. The thing about the hair triggers is haptic feedback should be turned off and shouldn't be used for racing. It was designed mainly wfor fps players. If it for racing you'll only be able to go from 0 to max speed. No slow press with the kit installed.
Hello, I bought the clicky triggers, the back paddles, and the face button clicky set. What would you recommend I first start with?
I would personally start with triggers, face clicky, and then remap kit. Hope this helped.
@@im.a.caveman thank you! I just ordered them yesterday. How long does shipping take?
If I remeber correctly, from the gaming cobra website, if it's for North America I think the estimate is 1-2 weeks. But for the others I don't remember. I'll send a link on the shipping info from their site.

@@im.a.caveman ok thank you! Can wait to build this controller
If you have also ordered the back paddles, which do you recommend installing first? Thanks.
Triggers should go first and then the remap kit.
Just wondering, the silicone cushions still as bad as PS4? Probably will stop working with time because they kinda cut? I had to fix that in my ps4
Good video, but what’s that message about BD
-020 and BDM-010 and how do you know which one you have for your controller
It's for the Rise Remap kit/back buttons. On the back of your original shell there's a model number: CFI-ZCT1W (BDM-010). CFI-ZCT1W A (BDM-020). The remap kit is only compatible with BDM-010. BDM can also be found on the motherboard itself.
@@im.a.caveman yo man is there anyway to get Bdm 010 specifically?
my l1 and r1 isnt activating for some reason only l2 and r2. any suggestion that could help me would be appreciated
Did you happen to get it working?
no. i bought another set and they worked.
I did both at the same time, but I have a constant clicking noise on the left trigger like a heart beat lol, guess I will try again tomorrow.
BTW thanks for the video caveman!!
I think I know what you mean. Like the little motor on the trigger itself keeps going "click click click click". Is that what you mean? It's happened to a control but I didn't install hair triggers on it. I have to see the problem for that one.
Same thing is happening to me! It does it only when it connects to the ps5, so weird. Gonna have to open it back up again but eh maybe tomorrow
Found out what it was in my case. I had put the gear wrong, all I had to do was just put it in correctly
Hey, I’ve had my PS5 pro controller (scuf) and the R2 button does not work, like the trigger won’t register in game, and the “clicky” sound doesn’t seem to work. It isn’t my spring, but something else, do you have any suggestions? Thanks!
I'm assuming the R2 switch is broken. Especially since you said there's no more click coming from it
Hello bro, big fan of your videos, can you help me figuring out why after doing this steps in the video my ps5 controller only blinks in oramge once, and then nothing goes on?
For the triggers not sure. So far no one has mentioned a problem with the triggers. Usually they say that about the remap kit. I recommend reconnecting the wires and see if that helps. Thanks for being a fan!
That part at 11:47 is really hard to push in, i may have damaged the circuit try to pry it in using tweezers :(((( it is really not as easy as on the film, i have been trying for over an hour. Update: Success, but i guess the plastic bits were a half a mm too long. Praying the clicky circuit is intact..
I am having the exact same problem now. It wont go in, its like its too long. Itwont click in like the video
@@MyChattown I hope you succeeded, it takes a perfect placement and a bit of force, but ultimately you will succeed
Why my pieces don’t look like yours. I got everything in except for that last piece of plastic you put in that goes over the ribbon. Is yours the updated version.
How do the hair triggers respond to warzone vehicles? Do they go too slow, too fast, or not go?🤔🧐
Should be normal. This kit just helps to be able to press down on your triggers sooner which allows for a quicker trigger response. Only con is haptic feedback should be turned off.
Have you tested it out yet?
@@Kira-pu1mb yes, it's full speed... But that's how I usually drive
my square, circle, left and right dpad stopped working do you have any idea why?
unfortunately the ps5 trigger set does not work, all buttons (L2-L1-R2) work.
Only the R1 button doesn't work, even if I press it correctly, how can I continue? will my button be defective?
thank you very much.
Specifically how does it not work?
@@im.a.caveman I mounted the triggers and the only button that doesn't work, not even in the game is R1
@@im.a.caveman but I hear the click and the sound when I press it
@@magicnando1217 I recommend looking at that piece. If you say you connected the cables fully in, then take that trigger piece out and carefully check the R1 switch. In case you DM me here's my IG account: instagram.com/im.a.caveman?
Is it possible to leave addaptive triggers and just go with l1 and r1 modificafions?
Really good video btw :) very clear
where do I get the small gear wheel replacement part? My one is chipped and messing up the haptic feedback
Did you install the clicky triggers on it?
I don’t have those 4 screws to take out the trigger mechanism what do I do?? Someone please help me 🙏 I’m super confused
Please help
You can drive but when it comes to racing games it'll only drive from 0 to 100. No slow press. Also keep in mind you should have haptic feedback off.
hi put the rod back it but the button wont move can you help please tried brough sides
Hi, I just tried installing the triggers but the L2 doesn't seem to click anymore, any solutions? Thanks
As in you can't push it down?
@@im.a.caveman yes, As soon as I put the cover on for the L2 it gets jammed!
I recommend opening up that trigger again and check if something needs to be corrected. If you have an IG you can send me pictures as well.
Why don’t mine have the 4 screws on the front side of the D pad and the buttons
For the clicky hair triggers can you play any Spiderman games because you have to hold the trigger to swing
It's not recommended to install these if you're going to play racing games or use haptic feedback. I was playing spiderman with it but I turned off haptic feedback.
Why didn’t you’re L2 want to click at first? I’m having the same issue with my ps5 controller
Can you put a time stamp on where that happened? I tried finding it.
@@im.a.caveman 10:02 I don’t think I heard it click I thought it was the same issue I was having. Great video though!
Have you had any problems with them after installing them? My triggers aren’t clicky sometimes and hard to aim or shoot
So far I haven't. I installed it on 2 controls and they work normally. Did you turn off haptic feedback?
@@im.a.caveman no I haven’t, How do I do that?
@@YoShiiftee Go to "Settings" then "Accessories" scroll to "Controllers" find the "Trigger Effect Intensity" option and then it'll show 4 choices, "Off, Medium, Weak, Strong". You can turn it off that way. I believe if you play a game that uses haptic feedback, they also have the options in their settings. I remember for COD I had turned it down in game.
@@im.a.caveman okay thank you
@@YoShiiftee did that solve your issue after turning off haptic feedback ?
Where did you get those tweezers?
Those are ceramic tweezers. You can try eBay or Amazon. You'll see a bunch of options to choose from. They were used for a different purpose since they're heat resistant but they've been great to use for customizing.
Does this prevent you from playing ps5 games that do the haptic feedback bs?
Do you know if it the same installation with the tactile version clicky triggers mouse click.
It depends if its for a BDM-010 or BDM-020. The piece that goes on the side of the trigger was taken out for the updated triggers. BDM-020 has a bigger piece the goes in the L2/R2. It's a actually a video I'm working on that I'm hoping to upload by Sunday.
what about the one where it does your buttons like circle X and triangle? does that need souldering?
It does not need soldering.
Whats the difference between the Clicky Hair Triggers and the Tactile Version?
The tactile version has an audible clicky sound unlike the hair trigger
@@im.a.cavemanwhich one would you recommend??
Could you please name the white tool you are using to pull out the small flatcables ?
It's a ceramic tweezer. I recommend this one over the all metal one.
can u use the paddels and the hairtriggers on 1 controller?
Yeah! I have led, hair triggers, and remap on one controller. Just make sure to check your control is compatible with the remap kit
