You don't seem to understand that we pay around the same percentages in taxes as Americans do, it just gets used better. We're not paying MORE taxes for it! Nobody in Canada pays 50% in taxes. It works exactly the same way as your insurance companies, the literal ONLY difference is that it's the government you're paying instead of an insurance company, and it's bundled into your taxes instead of a separate bill every month. Easier, too, right? And the government is far less likely to say no when you actually need health care. I'm sorry, but no matter how you try and twist it, THIS IS BETTER. Also, if it does happen that your ambulance ride is not covered, it doesn't cost $5000, it costs less than $1000. I have had many opportunities to move to the USA. Health care is the sole reason I have chosen to remain here, every single time. Because this is hands down superior. I would be dead in the states. I live a life of peace up here, calm and relaxed in the knowledge that my health needs are covered. Eat your hearts out, you poor jealous schmucks.
@@DH-xw6jpwhat the hell are you on about. 50% of income? Where is the source on this? As far as I’ve heard ambulance rides in Europe are either covered by insurance or the fee is quite small. US is insane for having such an exorbitant cost on an ambulance ride
I came here expecting him to just start rubbing Vic’s on the injury where a bone would be sticking out and telling the ems worker that she’s not needed
Thank you for being on our show Steven! We loved making all these fun sketches with you!

No, unfortunately it's like $1,200 per mile they have to drive you to the hospital.

The alternative is living elsewhere and having most of your income taken out of your paycheck against your will to pay for other people’s healthcare.
You realize you still pay for the ambulance in other countries even if you never use it, right?
