my first time just outside quartzite, found a small chunky long nugget in the side of the wash metal detecting within 20 min... went back 3 months later, about 15ft from that spot in the wash, right on top of the bedrock was its relative, they looked so much alike, cant wait to explore that area again someday
Hey, THANKS for posting this video. I am a Bedrock-metaldetecting guy and know that I need to get out of the wash, but seem to have a mental block to do this. Something I have to work on.....Thanks Again for this helpful reminder. Gary
Thanks, Kevin, for the videos. That's what prospecting is all about. I run the 6000, mark the targets, move on, and my wife uses her monster 1000 to do the final digging and recovery of the gold. In Arizona, due to the lack of water, it takes about 100 years to move a piece of gold the size of a match head one inch.
Thanku sir. Native tucsonian Here appreciate the knowledge always be safe in the desert avoid godaways & cartel in otherworldly make sure you know where u are & who's around be safe.
Very cool! I found my first nugget about the same size on Halloween this year. I’m in AZ right now, Yuma. Hopefully I can get out and do some prospecting.
Thank you! Great info. I want to take my gold bug pro out to the washes here at the Arizona desert claims but haven't had the chance yet. Now I know where to look🤙
This is called common sense and read about the area's. It also depends how big the flood is because the gold could still be in the bedrock! You checked the washout sand and bedrock first and moved on from the area's! Good video and great advice!
I did it! It was so much fun. I live in Phoenix and my friend and I go to the Tanks sometimes to get Gold Dust and a few nuggets. I have anice little collection of tubes of Gold. We didnt look for rocks,black diry or anything other than where the water hsd gone around small bushes in the wash. That's where we found our gold. It's not hard or c omplicated to do. :}
My grandfather was a prospector and a very good one. In the 70s he found a nice vein just off Morgan City wash about 2 miles W/NW of Old Christian Church road west of Lake Pleasant where it enters the wash. He staked a claim named Oregon Pipe mining claim. We spent about every weekend there blasting, digging, sorting and would thank lots of stuff back to Glendal😢where we would pan, dissolve in nitric acid and such. I think it was profitable because he used to show me all the bottles of gold before he took them to the assay office “I think it was called.” I still live in North Phoenix and would like to go back out there if anyone is interested let me know.
Would love to go there with you and have all the equipment to check out your grandpas spot when im in AZ..I own a mine and Yosemite Crystals gem and mineral shop in Mariposa, ca
Thanks here now, from Cali so I needed a few tips!

It's definitely hard to think outside the box sometimes, but as they say, gold is where you find it! Good luck out there ⛏
Thanks, Kevin, for the videos.

Hi, what’s the name and model of your metal detector? Which one is your favorite? Oh I see, you have a Garrett! Nice!
I'm in tucson and not sure if there is anything around here 😢
im sure there is, get a detector and start looking!
Gold is where you find it.
Any concern about rattlesnakes in such areas? Personally I'd want to wear snake gaiters if I walked around that area.
Does the elevation of the desert matter?
Kingman Arizona
Just got my ML Gold Monster. I'm ready to hit it.
It looks like Black Canyon City Area or near there. I would check the sand around the rocks and the exposed rocks.
The audio is only coming through on the right channel. No sound on the left channel.
And it's back at 1:43 .
Thanks for pointing this out. We'll take a look and see if we can get it corrected. 👍
Yeah I have a place to mine but I’ve never really done it so if anyone wants to go out and see what we can find! Let me know
Just goes to show that it pays to think outside the box,and also test test test.
i live about 4 miles from vulture mine, and i swear there has to be another lode within a 20 mile area of vulture,
