  • Well I'm changing my Model 3 Suspension again. The lowering springs were great, but I wanted something more adjustable without going to an air suspension. The Unplugged Performance coilovers are the perfect for for what I wanted. Height adjustable & Dampening adjustable.

I'd love a little more detail on ride in the softest setting as well. Please and thank you!

Excellent video Erik! Thank you for explaining what all those terms mean and how they are adjusted.

The only issue with changing the height is every time you do it you need an alignment.

Great video, I’ll be going with the Mountain Pass Performance sport coilovers next spring and look forward to the adjustability for both street and track.

I'd actually like to raise my 3, put some sort of sound-absorbent material on the shock tower mount, and make the ride a little softer. Getting old :(

Curious what the ride quality and handling are like on the soft setting. You mentioned changing it but didn't say anything about the results.

Did you check the underbody to see if a bunch of dirt was trapped in there? Haha

Would love to see a 2.0 version that includes remote control of the coil overs so you could select preset settings from inside the vehicle.

Would love to see a 2.0 version that includes remote control of the coil overs so you could select preset settings from inside the vehicle. I did coilovers on a previous BMW but always thought how convenient it would be if settings could be adjusted easier/quicker.

How does the Unplugged Performance coilover kit compare to the KW coilover kit (sold by Mountain Pass Performance in the US) please?

Would be really cool if the solar array you guys have on to of the house would direct DC charge your Teslas, straight to the batteries.

Are these identical to the kw v3 coilover or are these a completely different make. I guess unplugged performance doesn’t make their own coilovers ?

I have the springs from unplugged....switching to coilovers next week from them. No problems with the springs but everything you are saying is what I am expecting so should like better for me.

I bought my model 3 with Unplugged Performance Race Spec Coilover Suspension Kit, Sway Bars, Traction, Trailing arms. Any advice on adjusting the dampening? Can you play around a little without fear of Alignment issues? I'm too low and too stiff for winter driving. I'm looking for a perfect medium. Not knowing enough about ride height/dampening mediums vs constant alignments kinda sucks. I want to raise it about 1" and soften the ride 50%. Any advice?

How much softer is the ride?!? I have on order the lower springs from UP for my performance model y. Wondering if I should wait for them to have Coilover. Let me know!!!

E man You don’t do coil over suspension for quality it’s an adjustability and performance mod. The fact that they can (at least with my Mountain Performance coil overs) ride even better than stock while increasing cornering ability is just a perk.

You have to do an alignment every time you adjust the height. How do these allow one to avoid that?
