    It is watching art in time lapse motion, what a journey!
    I've taken note of your comments at the end of your narrative on how many parts may be reused again...demonstrating the notion of cost consciousness notwithstanding a costly project.
    Truly a professional.
    Well done!

    1982 Porsche 930 Turbo (European Specs-Grey Market in the U.S.) in RARE Guards Red on Red (Two Color-Red on Red Leather Seats with Black Dashboard) was mine (1982-1985). This Porsche had been known in South Florida as the quickest and Best Looking Porsche on the roads there. The acceleration was incredible off the line, from my experiences, quicker than a Ferrari or Lamborghini.

      That sounds exciting. Did you hold on to the car or have you sold it?

    • @FactsPlus2022
      @FactsPlus2022 Рік тому

      @@GermanTech-Motorworks Sold it back in 1985 after driving for 3 years. It was amazing because it NEVER required a tune-up. I heard at the time, one needs another Porsche for backup because a Porsche Turbo needs lots of maintenance (True only with my 1988 Porsche 911 Turbo, a nightmare of service due to its turbo). Not true with the European Specs 930, as it always drove the same from day ONE.

    Absolutely incredible. A rebuild like that I’m estimating at a cost of $300,000.00 or more. Nonetheless excellent job gentlemen.

    • @Pentax67
      @Pentax67 5 місяців тому +1

      I don’t believe it will cost that much. My guess 50,000 max , maybe could be 30,000€. Also check his workers are immigrants, low pay (dark skin colored).
      I mean at 300,000€ you have to be delusional. You can already get a 930 in superb shape probably Stage 2 or 3 at that price already build and done , no point to rebuild one.

    That was mind blowing! The ONLY change I would have made would be the color of the seats. It is an odd combination with the outside color but granted this was an intended restoration not necessarily a remodel. What a work of art by a bunch of talented engineers! Superb!

      @@GermanTech-Motorworks I would have put in a tartan for the seat inlays but that is just how my 930 looks in my dreams. hahaa! It is remarkable how you can restore a 911 that was in such bad shape and turn it into a car worthy of a car show.

    My dad had one of these in silver. It had RUF alloy wheels. 4 speed I believe.
    Very fast car. Engine braking was unbelievable too. Great car. Porsche Reading in the UK left an engine bolt out and on his way back from that service the engine dropped down one side and it caught the road I believe. My dad heard a huge bang. Luckily it was fixed.

    • @GermanTech-Motorworks
      @GermanTech-Motorworks  Рік тому +1

      No we didn't. Both set of rings belong to the car. Porsche does build those lights in chrome and covers them with the final rings in car color. Unfortunately they weren't ready painted on time. The chrom rings with the light adjusters are right underneath the finishing covers 🙂

    Alfa Romeo of late 60 and Alfa of the 70 , in my opinion are getting a bad rap of cars that get rusty easy all these years. Well looking at this video seems that Porsche cars are just as bad as Alfa or even even worse. Rust kills any cars, stop with this concept of Alfa Romeo cars.

    • @Nick-rr3pv
      @Nick-rr3pv Рік тому +2

      This car was sitting outside in Malaysia where it is super humid. It is not the same. Porsche cars that are in California go rust free for more than 30 years. No disrespect to Alfa but Porsche cars are just built better.
