Hiram, I do enjoy your videos. Thanks for making them. I know very little about automatic transmissions and find it amazing how someone ever made them up or work. You have it down to an art form. Thanks again.

Great info. Hiram. Thank you. If you look on the front side of the channel plate the accumulator bores get really sloppy but on the spring side they look ok. New channel plate is less than $100 with seperator plate.

Really nice to see some worm track mapping for the first time in a while 👍👍. If you wind up having the time and the motivation to do it, that other valve body you mentioned that only had 1st and 2nd, sounds like it might be an excellent lead-in to some hydraulic schematic reading and interpreting.

      Sure will.
Hydraulic schematics Mitchell doesn't have on Gen2, not sure on Gen1, I haven't checked.
But those are my plans, to find out the issue with it.

Are you checking for valve body flatness or check ball operation?

Man, this is outstanding video. Is this dampners taking the function of old "accumulators" , to make the shifts go smooth? AT are getting way too complicated. I guess this transmission was shifting harsh , BUT STILL WAS SHIFTING ? 😕❓

Are you getting the tool from transgo ? Because I was thinking of getting one myself , it would be interesting to see before and after test 👍

How important that dampers? I usually don’t pay attention to that dampers, and never have problems, but MAYBE I got just fresh units in work…

He's checking valve body wear by pluging the holes.

Solenoid dampner, it takes 6 of them. I probably should have pulled out one of them for the camera.
