I remember watching this video at 2 weeks after my bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction. I couldn’t wait to be able to do these things! Now after diligent baby steps I can do them all. I hope everyone recovering and reading this can be reassured your body has the amazing power to heal and your efforts will pay off. Take it slow.

You’re probably ready for the next video after this one - ua-cam.com/video/-H6pLhuV8Hc/v-deo.html. Hope the rest of chemo goes well.

Thank you so much! I am 3 weeks post op dmx to flat and doing both of your exercise sessions 3 times a day. In the morning seems to be much harder and stiffer. The evening session is way better. Making slow progress ❤

Slow and steady wins the race with rehab! That's great that you've been so consistent. It's totally normal that you'd be stiffer in the morning session compared to the evening. Keep it up!

That’s great! Diligence always pays off with rehab. Sounds like you’re ready for the 3rd video.

Do you have any recommended exercises for patients who had silicone breast implants after total mastectomy using the Latissimus Dorsi Flap? I am now on my 3rd month after surgery, but still feels tight on the underarm and on my back. Thank you.

I don't have any videos yet on this. I just inquired with a colleague about doing a Q&A on this as she had lat flap reconstruction with an implant as well. I can imagine the tension that you're feeling in your back. Some of the underarm tension may be related to other factors (lymph node removal, cording, etc). Because you're 3+ months post-surgery you would be fine to do all the rehab exercises from the videos. I'm posting another rehab video using a band next week that should help as well. If you have the resources to get some soft tissue release that would be ideal to supplement the rehab.
