Ugh, my sister’s friend’s father had bought one of these off of David Justice of the Atlanta Braves. This had to have been 1994 or so. Anyway, my sister told me that her friend’s Dad offered the car to them because they looked bored one evening. They turned it down! I was 14 at the time and we are now in our mid-forties and STILL have trouble getting over it. 😂 I would have wrung every bit of breath out of that flat 12 given the opportunity. My best friend’s Dad had a Ford Ranger.🤦🏻
This video is pure 90s back when people actually admired real cars like a Ferrari and not these electric pieces of shit like Tesla and every other car company that’s trying to go carbon neutral. This is what it was about back then now everyone is becoming too sensitive and posting their feelings on TikTok and Instagram.
5.2 0-60 seem pedestrian nowadays? This car had only 5 speeds and was geared for top speed more than acceleration, plus it had that slow shifting metal gated shifter. Evident is a top speed of 192 (clocked by Road&Track) BTW, they also clocked a 4.7 0-60 and a 12.9 quarter mile, those numbers are very fast even by today's standards.
chevy camaro and mustang had about 225 horsepower those years lmao pushrod dinosaurs corvette had a little bit more. amazing how much behind domestic cars were and still are and always will be needless to say
@@jmark7390 Naw You just arrogant and never been anywhere. Let me give you and Detroit something to look up in the additionary! "Flat 12" four Camshafts 48 Valves.
@@anthonynicholich9654 I'd say you are the arrogant out of touch one...consider that a 5.0 cost less than 20k new and the tr was a supercar with 10x the price at 200k... But beyond that.... ...there are other factors to consider too.. But you're just some america hating snob so gtfoh
@@ColbyReed Wow you are so smart!! Lol NOT. You look up where Corvette ZR1 motor was built designed and who was it supplied by! Detroit couldn't even build that! Learn yourself first before you tell others too!! Now go and look up the specs for a Ferrari F40 and F50 and do me a favour go home after that.

Timeless design. Still looks beautiful after three decades.
Makes me think of the white Testarossa Don Johnson drove in Miami Vice.

Car and Driver got 0-60 in 5 seconds flat, 0-150 in 26, and a top speed of 187, which is still quite fast.
When did it say 26 for the zero to 150?
Yep will still smoke many of todays cars. What a beast this thing was.
best supercar ever made
Beautiful and nice this Ferrari

Crazy how car have evolved since then. The body roll on this car is pretty evident. 5.2 0-60 seems pretty pedestrian as well.
Body roll isn't always bad by definition though, old cars are probably more comfy most of the time..
You actually want a softer front anti roll bar in a rear-engine car
It's soft because its a grand touring car made for comfortable cruising. The F40 was the track car, made to shake your fillings out.
