- Another group of my Rough Rider Knives- this time its just the fixed blades, many of which are no longer available. (Yes I know it is now Rough Ryder but all of these date from the "Rough Rider" years.

The Rough Ryder Paratrooper is an almost direct copy of the John Ek Paratrooper Bowie from WWII. Definitely a fun knife.

Glad you like them! No doubt some times you need a big knife. You can cut your way through a swamp with a pen knife!

That D-guard Bowie is a friggin monster! The Turtle Man Lightning knife is pretty cool too. You’re right about that little bird and trout knife. I think that might be the nicest carry knife. Thanks for the video! 🙏

And I thought I had a lot of rr lol. I have 3ea 844's cuz when I like a cheap knife it usually ends up discontinued but not this one. I think I got them for around 15 bucks well worth it. Their 440a is surprisingly well treated.
I use that 844 quite a bit. It really is a great, inexpensive, camp knife!
Very cool RR fixed blade collection. I tried to get a few of them in the past but always found that the one I wanted was sold out.
The bird+trout stag handle with the leather sheath is for sure the pick of the bunch! Enjoyed your video as always
No doubt its an eye catcher! That and the other B&T with the acorn shield are probably the most practical of the lot.

My 2 favs are the Smooth Tobacco Bone RR1278, & The Stag RR090 (which I may order from SMKW shortly!, They have it with the leather sheath available now).

Tobias, I managed to score a RR Saigon Sidekick Axe. I agree about the sheath, let us know if you come up with an improved carry design.
Well, I finally managed to find a new Saigon Sidekick tracker complete with the box! Now hopefully I can slow down a little...

Hello. Some really nice knives there. Not keen on the giants, lol. But the average to small knives are treasures. Even the neck knives which are usualy drap and utilitarian are like jewelery. Great collection. All the best , stay safe.
I was just so-so with the neckers ate first but they have grown on me. Small, and useful for many little chores. Great little box cutters.

Thanks. No it is just a small choil to separate the sharp edge from the handle.

I hate the way you pronounce Bowie besides that I've just bought the RR176 drop point hunter I've been looking at it for a while so I just purchased it for the price you can't complain.
