I just got one of these as my first revolver and I love it
I think that Heritage frames are made from an alloy called Zamek (or some such spelling).
I've been thinking of getting Heritage's "Buffalo Bill" 4-3/4 barrel revolver. My dad's dad still had his ticket stub for when he saw Bufffalo Bill's Wild West Show.
Just picked up my H RR today... dont knowing I'll be able to wait til Christmas to use it.
I think this is a great gun to have some fun with - safely
My guess before the box opens(paused at 35 seconds) is the bar keep?
Edit: nope 👎 I’m wrong
I just picked up my Rough Rider 6-1/2” Barrel with US Flag Grips from Bass Pro Shop. The box was covered in nasty Bass Pro Stickers. So the box was a mess.
I have one of those, without the ugly grip and fake case hardening. The bluing turns brown over the years. I also have the mag cylinder. Since it isn't easily re-loadable, I actually have come to think of it as a bit of a waste of money........
Just like those potato chips!
I bought one these a while back and I Love it
The different colors make it stand out and give it a little character right out of the box.
Very Cool
I think the safety is useful as it allow you to hold 6 rounds instead of 5 (due to reasons that you would know already), and this also means you can hold 9 rounds in the 9 round cylinder.
My first Heritage was this model several years ago, it was called the Johnny Boy. I have acquired nine others since lol. Great little revolvers for the price.
Does anyone know if a 9 shot cylinder will fit in my standard 6 shot Heritage revolver? Or are the 9 shot revolvers built slightly different than the standard 6 shot and that won't work? I haven't researched this yet at all.
I have the rough rider ,and the same grips ,they also grew on me ,great looking gun
Heritage also makes the Rough Rider in .45LC. Told my local, go-to gun shop about it and they're planning to order some
Can't wait to see you do an accuracy test at the bench with this, thx for the vid
Those heritage revolvers just might be the best bargain out there. They shoot well and are pretty tough
Agreed!
I have this exact Heritage model. I also have a Winchester 20 gauge youth gun with the same laminated camo finish stock and forend. The 2 guns make for a nice combination. I usually shoot my Heritage with the .22 mag cylinder.
That manual safety is an instant turn off for me.
Hey Dustin...how about one on the birdhead model...love your channel...👍
That’s a good idea!
Does this weapons come with 6 rounds ?
We're going to have start calling ya Mr. Dustin "Heritage" W.
*PS, Love a matte finish on firearm furniture.
The grip surprised me when you opened the box but like yourself it has begun to grow on me. Another great unboxing video! Have you thought about adding an Instagram account to your social media options? These beauties are begging to be shown off!
That is a great idea! I’ll look into it.
Nice little six shooter. I like the satin finish.
Got one of these as a birthday gift in January. Fun to shoot. I kind of like the way this revovler looks, but I wanted the red/white/blue wood grips for mine.
You should be able to go to there website and order those grips
Hello Dustin nice-looking little revolver I have a base when like that and it's very accurate I did receive my guns of the old west all-natural bullet Lube today thank you very much I consider that my birthday present because I got that the new code for your new site again thank you very much. Joe security Oklahoma
Cool gat, Dustin.
I like the presentation, nd the gun! My wife bot me one if these two months ago. Exlent target pistol!David Back.
And the head of the High Fructose Gang (TM) has called for another five or so volunteers to confront Mr. Winegar about his propensity for collecting firearms ...
that might make a good small game gun for us handgun hunters
It is. Good for squirrels and rabbits.
very cool im still not an owner of one yet but i do have a 22 revolver i love alot and if it ever broke id die a bit inside thankfully the old H&R guns are all steel minus the grips
Bit the bullet and buy one. For the money you can’t go wrong. The only downside is finding ammo. IMO this is one of the last bargains around.
@@ratride1 i have a 22 revolver i love but if i see one used i may buy one i have the 922 h&r
I finally broke down and ordered a new 22 mag cylinder for my Rough Rider. Heritage has several etched cylinders and I chose the snake cylinder. It is beautiful and the cylinder fit perfectly. Now I just have to get up the nerve to shoot some of my 22 mag ammo, lol. I'm afraid of what it might cost me to replace it. Beautiful revolver you got there. I didn't like the grips initially either but they definitely look good in person.
I had one for a few years and then had to sell it while I was “in-between jobs”, big regret. I’m thinking a Bar Keep model like you showed a while back might be a fun replacement.
Better off getting a black powder revolver, since it is easily re-loadable.....
Already there brother!: 1851 navy, .31 vest pocket derringer, 44 cal single shot pistol, round ball molds, caps, paper cartridge former, and more powder than you can shake a stick at :) lol
@@Blackpowderdad yeah, I got a .31 derringer too and a 1862 Pocket Police(.36 caliber). That 380 round ball will make a great "slug" in my single shot Rossi 410 shotgun.....
Check out short lane gun adapters. I bought my dad a 380 acp to 20 gauge adapter, and just recently bought my self their .22lr and 209 percussion cap adapters for my 410.
Good Video has always
Hey Dustin. I was wondering if you are going to sell tee shirts or coffee cups on your web site? I surely would buy one of each! If the shirt logo was on the back. Lol.
I have finally gotten most of the stuff together that I need to make black powder 22 long rifle. I plan to shot them in my henry golden boy and might pick up a heritage revolver. would you be interested in shooting any in your heritage revolvers?
These are inexpensive for a reason. Save your money, get an Uberti, an all steel revolver. The sting of the price will soon fade, the pleasure of quality endures.
One of the ugliest guns I've ever seen. Doesn't look like the design or quality is very good either. The Ruger Wrangler is far better in all areas.
Why don't you mention the ATROCIOUS wood to metal fit and the overall cheap feel of these things? I know they are made to a price point but that just doesn't excuse the really poor fit and finish and almost toy-like feel the guns present! The wood of the grip, just as every other one I've seen, stands absurdly proud of the metal frame and it can be clearly seen in this video, there is simply no excuse for such poor workmanship and also no excuse for simply ignoring it like was done here!
Trippy looking gun, they got hippys designing these guns ? 😂
