If you want to absolutely max this system out, the highest performance CPU this barebones system can handle is the Ryzen 7 5700X (as you are limited to a 65w TDP for this platform) and the RX 6650XT Fighter from PowerCooler if you want to keep it all AMD, this is the largest card that fits with the best performance available with this 500w PSU. If you want the absolute best performance with this system and don’t care about keeping it all AMD, the Zotac 4060 Solo is the highest card that will fit in the system. Also, just one note, this system is meant to run maximum ram speeds of 3200mhz but that is the “official” spec. You may be able to run higher speeds, but I have not tried doing so. (I did more research on this than I care to admit and can 100% confirm this as fact.
Bro if I went with your suggestion,do you think this pic can run mixing and mastering music programs smoothly? I use a ton of heavy vst’s.I don’t care about gaming at all..
@@MiaaDavisfor a DAW pc you want as much ram as you can get. This barebones system can use up to 128 gigs. So it’s would make a nice little DAW box. I would opt for the intel barebones version and use an i3 12100 cpu instead because this cpu uses Vega graphics which is at end of life for amd. But before you build a DAW pc, take a look at a company called GPU Audio. They debuted at NAMM last year and they figured out how to run vsts on the gpu instead of cpu.
AM4 has been good to me but 30 years of experience says that planning a build around a future upgrade isn't a great idea. Future proofing is a myth and you should just build whatever will get you through the next couple of years as cheaply as possible. The 4600G is basically a 3600 with a neutered cache and you'd be better off with a used 3600. You can get a dGPU that matches the Vega iGPU for around $30 these days. You'd still probably end up being $10-20 cheaper than the 4600G.
You can absolutely run a Ryzen 9 in this, all you have to do is clock down the CPU and under volt it slightly. A cheap video adapter GPU is recommended to set it up. For multi threaded programs it's a better choice.
So the PSU fan is pretty much touching the CPU fans and both of them are pulling, I wonder what the CPU temps are. Also if you add GPU to that case it will probably have thermal issues as the case doesn't have any stands (or ventilation in bottom?). I would just buy used.
Hello, first time viewer here. Enjoyed your video, felt it wasn't really a gaming build to begin with. Which isnt a bad thing not everyone games and this is a nice cheap build. With a 6600 im sure the gaming performance will be many times greater. I look forward to that video.
You basically have the PSU fan and CPU cooler fighting each other for a very small amount of air. Whenever you put a dGPU in this, it will run hotter than the surface of the sun.
I have a Deskmeet X300 and I'm pretty happy with it, it's a little over a year old, and I've kept dust blown out of it... but a couple of times lately it's frozen on me, and the case felt very warm. Normally, it's just not cold the way a random piece of metal would be. Ii put a Thermalright AXP90-X47 on the CPU, and 64 GB of RAM (2*32). Has yours run at reasonable temperatures?
Well Done Sir! I like the case, I want to make something that's fairly compact, that looks like a sweet game system only better. The Xbox Series X is Sleek as hell, but I can't afford used parts let alone something that tiny. I've finally Pieced together an AMD 5600g Seems to work well, I would still like a Nice Video Card. I don’t know much about computers, but would this set up still work with a 600watt pcu? I saw someone say it’s not good to cheap out on the pcu and I happen to have a thermal take gold rated 600watt pcu laying around…
@@Tech.Closet if I wanted to get a higher quality 500 watt PSU like a platinum should I? And also would 550 be too much if I made the same build you did in this video but also added the GPU and maybe another fan?
@@SkellyWaggs "I think it's better to use the stock one, it's not a bad PSU. Whether it has enough power or not depends on the GPU you are using. Also, if you're adding the GPU right away, you can go with a better CPU, like Ryzen 5 5600 or 5500. They don't have an iGPU, but they will work better with your dedicated GPU.
200mm max length, and two slot width. The most powerful gpu you can fit in this case is the amd version of the Rx 7600 sold on the amd website. Usually comes with a game for free. It was starfield, now it’s Avatar.
4:25 Absolutely shocking, there's basically no air flow, I'd rather spend a couple extra bucks on a bigger case than cook my CPU like that, they could have easily designed this so that the motherboard sits on tip of the power supply, so the fan faces outwards.

2:14 did bro used a stick of ram for a knife?
haha, I've done that before with an old/dead stick
bought an amr5 (mini pc) with vega 8 for 380... its a real warm welcome to the pc community
2:13 bro opened the box with ram stick😂
Love your videos your the only one who understands ALL NEW PARTS.
I appreciate that! the new video with a similar build will be out soon.
Everytime you upload it makes my day better.
I'm glad to hear that! Thank you!

You can play some games on it but this is definitely not a gaming PC. This is more like a cheap workstation.
Thanks for the video. This is the first that I have heard of these barebones pc.
There's supposed to be a AM5 version, the Deskmeet X600. I look forward to seeing how it works out.
My pc was purchased as a prebuilt with this CPU. Very good for budget builds. But these days I'm rocking the MSI 3060 rtx 12gb. It's darn good
Looks great and looking forward to the follow up video
Great video! I love my Desk Meet 300, which I have build after I gave my X300 to my son! Love this Asrock concept!
Their am5 version is supposed to be released in the next two months, as is AMDs new 5600gt cpu with updated RDNA 3 graphics.
@@_B.C_ my pc will serve me for some years to come
@@ronyzmiri just saying for anyone looking to build on this platform that it’s about to be updated.
I like it but the psu and cpu cooler would be fighting for air with that little gap only.
yeah low profile or shorter heatsinks are cheap to buy.
Or you could use a sfx psu with a silverstone atx bracket for better clearance
i will use this kind of pc for undervolted server usage in home as it integrated gpu to acceleration hardware task and ai localization.
i would add a 1650 to this after a while as it would be really good and shouldnt be much if any bottlenecking
when will the video be with rx 6600 because im thinking of building a pc with ryzen 5 5500 and rx 6600xt
in the next 2 weeks, maybe sooner.

Why the hell didn't u go for r3 2200g with Vega 8 graphics with better performance for cheaper?Gonna be honest, u could have done better
I have almost exactly the same PC components and the processor has reached a maximum of 55 degrees 🙂👍🏻

It it was me I would go with a worse cup with no built in graphics with a Rx 580. Might be slightly over budget but Better for the long run
Isn't 3200MHz the max ram speed with the Deskmeet X300?
Or even if you put the xmp to 36000MHZ it will still go to 3200MHz?
Do you think you can make me a white build for 600-700$ with a ryzen 5?
nice video. but i would like to know if the PCIe is maximum pcie 4.0 or pcie 3.0 for the gpu?
this can use ryzen non igp? like 5800x3d?
Pls do a rtx 3060 pc build

i bet he sell them to make some profits since im pretty sure youtube ads wont be enought to cover a whole pc parts price
the wifi setup is not good, just get ethernet, if you don't have a port, buy a wifi extender
