This helps tremendously! I found out that there's no "printer and label receipt preferences" option when you ship using FedEx. This tip works great with the USPS option though!

If you use the bulk USPS shipping tool in eBay (select more than one item in the list) like I do and print directly from the PDF that is generated, the top of each label is cut off (just enough to be annoying but the label is still usable). You can fix this one of two ways - 1) Set the custom scaling to 90% and the orientation to portrait in the print dialog or 2) save as a PDF and print from Acrobat Reader or Acrobat DC (or another PDF viewer). For some reason in FireFox and Chrome on Windows it cuts off the very top of each label when printing form the browser.

Tim, I sell around 10k items a year and I'm needing a new printer. I use the batch system and purchase 12 to 18 at a time. Have you had issues with the durability of the labels? I normally judge this by the condition the label is in on items that get returned to sender since they have been through the system twice.
I am partially concerned about cost. My first quick search found 8800 labels at 1.6c each ($140 for a case) do you know if there is a better price? I currently spend a little more than this for the standard peel and stick laser printer labels.
Do you have any idea how long this printer would last? I've only been able to get around 50k pages out of my last 2 printers (I sell herbs and the warehouse dust is extremely hard on the printer) and currently I am having problems with the barcode not being clear enough for scans to work, so roughly 5% of my packages arent being scanned as delivered because the driver doesnt spend the time to manually punch in the number...cant say I blame them.
All n all, would you recommend this as a high volume workhorse? I'm not to concerned about the speed of printing, but AM concerned with how long it may take to get to the point of hitting "print" as well as clarity of print, durability of self sticky thermal paper under shipping conditions, and overall longevity if the printer. Am I going to have to spend 30 to 60 seconds adjusting print parameters every time I buy labels?

Been trying for 2 YEARS. USPS prints full page just fine. BUT When printing fedex labels. It is too small. settings are at 4x6. Only prints on top half of page and small. Tried switching to horizontal view. Does not work. HELP!! THANKS
yeah, I can't get Fedex to print correctly either. I don't print it enough to see if there is a fix. Good luck!

Does this work from mobile? I am use to using ebay create label from my phone and tape it on and good to go. But sure would like to skip the whole tape part
Not sure if it can be set up over a network.
Are you using it for fba shipping labels? Mine prints both fedex/ups labels in one sheet

Just a question im about to sell a s few household items on Ebay for the first time. Do I really need to have a printer. Can I not just write the details on the package by hand? Thank you.
Yes you can hand write them. Another option is using the public library printer. My library lets me print out 75 copies a month for free or 25 color prints for free. When we did not have a printer, this came in handy.

When you look at shipping an item, on the left column, toward the bottom, it will show some settings, select "change", try that.
@@ResellerMom I tried that still it does not set the default setting and I still have to manually change it every time. I think Ebay upgraded to a new format and it looks different now. Let me know should you find the solution. Thanks.

nope me either. I don't print fedex enough to figure out either.
I did a screenshot, put it in publisher, cropped it, and saved as a jpg. It worked

Im tired of messing with it. Ridiculous the 4xl labelwriter cant print fedex big enough. Not gonna spend more and buy a compatible one. Ill just print the address huge on one label , And print the bar code huge on another label. 2 labels and cut them with scissors. And put them on the package. 2 year issue solved. Thanks
