One thing we always say in KC... Matt Cassel should take Bernard Pollard out to dinner at least once per year since he made him tens of millions of dollars. I do wonder if the Chiefs would have traded up from 3rd to 1st overall to get Stafford if Brady never got injured.
No way Detroit was coming of their pick when they had an opportunity to grab Stafford. If Matt Millen was the GM at that time then anything could’ve been possible. Luckily Detroit already a drafted Stafford before Millen took over as GM while secretly being a double agent for every other team in the NFC North and sabotaging the Lions throughout his tenure
I just said I wonder... in hindsight, Pioli likely would have still stayed at 3 and drafted (ugh) Tyson Jackson. Still.. I wonder if a package that included Jared Allen, Tony Gonzalez, amd the 3 overall would have enticed Detroit.
Imagine If Brady didn’t get injured, I mean they went 11-5 with Matt cassell there is no doubt in my mind with Brady they would of went 15-1 or 14-2 and got back to the playoffs
They 100% win the super bowl that year vs Arizona, but four of their losses came from terrible defensive outputs that 08 season, (Jets on TNF, Dolphins week 3, Steelers week 13, and Chargers week 6) so idk how much Brady changes there, but I think you’re still looking at 12-4, 13-3 and at best 14-2, but yeah they’re easily steam rolling through the playoffs, would like to know what you think of this take.
@@TRockNFL yes but Brady has always owned the Steelers and Cassel actually played poorly against the jets up until the 4th quarter and played pretty bad against the chargers and dolphins

5:09 out of curiosity I looked up who would've missed the playoffs in that scenario. It would've been the Dolphins due to losing a head-to-head game against the Ravens; imagine completing that turnaround (1-15 to 11-5) and missing; on top of that, it was the Dolphins' only playoff appearance within a span of 15 years!
Bro people overrate cassel so much, yeah he put up good stats in 2010 but outside of that one year he was ass, he threw more picks thans TDs in 7 of 13 years, had a losing record, and had a 69 passer rating in 2009 were he started 15 games
Yeah, but when playing on a loaded team he won 15 games. Tom Brady always played on good teams. Teams like that need a decent quarterback to make the post season and win. But people defend Tom Brady and like the Patriots won because of him.
@@familychannel7050 I agree but I also don’t think the 07 and 11 Pats are that comparable, 07 had the #1 ranked defense and prime Moss, 11 had a barley surviving defense and traded Moss earlier in the season, you could say the primary coaching was the same tho, (Bill and Coughlin)

I think that with Brady, the Patriots could have gone between 13-3 and 16-0 in 2008. They probably would have had a hard time with the Dolphins, Chargers, and of course, the eventual Super Bowl Champion Steelers. Cassel was never meant to be a starter. His 10 wins in NE are extremely overrated. Especially if ya consider the cupcake schedule he benefitted from. Dude was always just an elite back up QB and should’ve never been a teams #1. His entire career wad built on him being a back up. Spent his entire college career as a backup and did what ya want your back up to do in the NFL. String together some good games w/ some terrible games mixed in. But never expected to be a long term starter and KC found that out. Was absolute terrible outside of the 1 good season he gave em. NE knew what he was and fleeced KC when they traded him and Vrabel
The 11 win season in NE was the pure definition of fake news. I believe they had only beaten 3 teams w/ winning records that entire season lol. It’s looking scary if Tampa still put up 11 wins with Kyle Trask or Gabbert at QB this year 👀
That was never true, but when he went to Tampa and won a Super Bowl at 43 with no off-season in his first year, really put that to bed.
Chargers being 3-7 outside of their Division and being a playoff team is bonkers.
