I went from a 2013 Honda Civic to a 2016 Honda Fit and I have a happy fit every time I have to go somewhere. I love it. I do interior painting and the cargo space is immense. I can put my fold up ladders and paint equipment inside and have room to spare. The car is simply fun to drive and has the features of a much more expensive auto. I live in an area of steep hills and use the gear paddles to allow the engine compression to slow the car when I'm going down steep hills. That means the brakes will last much longer. My phone auto connects to the blue tooth system when I start the engine. The visibility is awesome and it turns on a dime. Can't say enough good about this car. Will get a 2020 in four years and I'm betting my trade-in value will be close to what I paid for the 2016. Am I crazy? No! I'm having a FIT.

Bought my 2009 Fit manual for $3600 at full asking price with 100k (no rust everything worked) 20 months ago via craigslist before prices went through the roof! I drove 250 miles to see it and bought it on the spot. My wife called me and said WHERE ARE YOU? I'm in NEW JERSEY! WHAT?? LOL. Gave the owner a deposit asked if he could pick me up at local train station tomorrow he said sure. The next day had an awesome train ride down to NJ to get it and drove it home. LOVE this CAR! I know I'll get this car to 300k miles as these engines Last! Only thing replaced was A/C clutch a known problem with these and manuals are so cheap to fix compared to automatics should they fail. Car runs great ...use as my winter car.

In regards to mpg, my 2015 fit started at 34 mpg, after a few month that increase to 36 mpg, that was combined driving. I did not drive any differently, so I think the 30mpg that he got in this video will get better. The leather model is heavier (I have the non leather) and the mpg is not as good as stated on the sticker. Car is fun to drive and I really enjoy it, after a year I would choose it again with no hesitation
I have base fit LX model...runs great...36/37 mpg in town....44 mpg hwy w/cruise control! I am all about the great mpg...wonderful cargo hauler..great car for all needs and day to day commute!
Hey Dave just wanted to let you know love your work. I noticed that a couple of the cars that you reviewed it will seem to have that same California license plate number 3421 what's going on with that. Where I live in New York all the license plate numbers are different.
Have you tried to fit a road bike, standing up (either with or without the front wheel) with the magic seats up? I know I could lay it flat in the back cargo but I'd rather have it upright. Thanks.
+Everyman Driver Dave if you don't have Husky Liners in your own car, you ought to. Better than weathertech imo. Weathertech liners are better in the trunk tho.
that's why you always have to look at the city MPGS and subtract 1 or 2 miles and that will be your average. yes you could get 41 on highway but you'll have to drive 100% on it. mix driving it's always below city. so this car it's good. the fit and the scion IA get around 33mpg according to the dumbs EPAS so expect 30.5. my 2012 jeep wrangler is rated at 17 city but I get 15.5-16. my previous 2007 civic was rated at 25 city and I only got 22-23 average. next year is on my shopping list, but the trims levels are not to my liking. first I want push start button since I hate hunting for my keys bit you'll need the EX that adds a sunroof which I don't need and I feel like I'm paying more for something g I don't need. projector LED or xenon headlamps.
Here in brazil this car is almost luxury, the price of it starts from 58 to 80 thousand reais and we earn 1200 reais to work in supermarkets and similar ones per month. It's impossible to have one of these!

Both of you should feel happy for what you have, because over here in dominican republic is even worst than you 2...... we got 3 different mínimun wage 1st what they call high around $12k dop = $250 us a month ..... mid around $8k dop = $180us a month and low around $7k dop = $160us a month.... and this car first realeased was around $1.4 million dominican peso = around $28k american dollar...
ive see that all complaining about the cvt gearbox but i kind i like i because you can have the boot experiences if you want to save the planet go on eco mode and if you want to feel the engine reving up turn it off and feel the entire engine gap. ive use once the toyota corolla and i dident know anything about the cvt gearbox since ive look it on youtube but ive use boot one and its great. Now about this litle honda i love it it has everything that you need to its nice and it dosent meant to be only for ladys it, so far honda is making great cars and yes you can add on your videos some shuts from inside and outide when rewing ! to hear it
+Naksak % well compares to the noise its a litle less than the Honda fit because on the corolla you can Go easly on 70 mph very quiet on almost 2000rpm , now if you pushed to hard you will hear the engine noise but not as loud as the fit
By the way this litle Honda its better equiped but if your issue is the noise it almost the same If you smash the gas pedal try to drive booth of them to have a better choice

Everyman Driver Hi Dave, I trade cars about once a year because I get a stipend due to using my car for my work. So far, I am very content with my Forte Koup SX. It is peppy, comfy, quiet, and economical and sporty...but not hardcore, as in it doesn't beat me up if im in it all day. Kia keeps racking up quality awards which is also nice. My non work car is a 2014 Mini Cooper, which is REALLY fun. Thanks for the good reviews.
Samuel sefue Its hard to say if its better, it is different, higher quality interior materials in the KIA. Both are very fun. Kia has more torque and HP but Scion tC has bigger engine with no turbo lag.
frank james So turn up your radio, that's what most people do. Trust me, every car has road noise to some extent until you get to the Mercedes S-Class and pay like 100k for the car.

My Kia Forte Koup Turbo with 201 hp gets about 30 mpg average. The Fit only gets 30.5 mpg??? Wow that sucks.
