Thanks for sharing. But why the soundtrack of this game is so devoid of passion? Without checking the title and playing the game myself I don't even know how this soundtrack is related to dragons. On top of that from 2:11 I'm pretty sure I already heard the soundtrack when fighting Atreus as bear. The dragon theme from 2018 is so much better in comparison
You can't compare the dragon boss theme to these ones. That was an mandatory boss of great spectacle while these are skipable. Garm or Nidhoggr would be a better comparison. This game has many more bosses and enemies than the previous, they can't all be masterpieces or very high impact. Still, I like this piece personally
This theme isn’t made to really reflect the might of dragons in any way. These boss fights are meant to be small challenges in the face of Kratos and his companions in order to complete the main mission at hand. Given that, the scale of this boss and its abilities are perfectly represented in the music. The music also matches the pacing of the fight perfectly. Thats why you should play the game before judging.
Devoid of passion ? Bear McCreary ? Nah, all songs can’t be masterpiece, even more for skippable miniboss. And this one is neat, even if you doesn’t feel the « dragon » energy. Sometimes you just need a good song that hype you for a fight
