    Avran, thanks for your hard work!!! Apologies on the long comment ahead of time. I am hoping to get it right this time, with your help of course!
    I was a seriously confused rad dad before finding your no BS reviews. Let's just say in my day you were only cool if you were riding a Glissade or Crap 175+ length at Stevens Pass or Baker. I didn't know what the F a skate banana was when I started riding again a few yrs back. Thank g that I now know that Skate Bananas are for bonfires. I tried to research on my own but still made some mistakes on purchases the last couple years before finding your reviews.
    First I tried a Gnu space case 159. Positives - quick edge to edge, magne was good on ice, assym on heel was cool feeling, super buttery, and seemed to float good for a shortish board (by my outdated standards) thanks to the rocker. Negatives - booted out my size 12s, not stable when bombing, cat tracking, or 1 footing, magne very grabby getting off the lifts, and slows down very quick in powder. I sold it.
    Next I tried to go the exact opposite in tech out there and got a Lobster sender 162w. Positives - camber was familiar when carving hard, stable, tracks and one foots catch free but way more "normal" than the rocker, bombs over and through everything, and only the fish boards can beat the 3BT speed in powder. Negatives - super super stiff with almost no torsional give (had to zero out my forward lean as the board was riding me), as it is a twin 3BT - the tail is just as floaty as the nose + camber rebound = you are pushing all of the snow with each turn (feels like doing a hundred squats each run on a pow day).
    Stats: 220-240lbs depending on how much Asahi Im drinking, 12 boots, 183cm, Leo, walks on the beach.
    Riding Style: I live, and ride only, in Japan now
    low angle slack country, pow, trees, pillows, cliff drops - 60%
    high speed bombing, carving, side hits - 20%
    cruising, slashing, skidding turns, partying - 10%
    small park jumps, butters, and switch - 10%
    Considering in no particular order;
    Orca 159
    SuperPig 158
    Partywave+ 157
    Main attraction to volume shift is: 12 boots and to keep it under 160cm as the bullet trains and taxis in Japan struggle to fit anything longer.
    Which would you buy for a Japow quiver of one? Or something completely different?
    Will use your affiliate link as well. THANK YOU!!!

    • @AngrySnowboarder
      @AngrySnowboarder  3 роки тому +1

      That shipping on the affiliate is going to kill you most likely. Honestly for what you’re describing a Camel Toe or Camel Two would be better then the party wave plus.

    I’m probably going to be spending most of this season at a tiny local hill because of Covid. I tend to usually ride stuff that’s on the stiff side with a longish sidecut like my Jones Flagship, Gnu Billy Goat, Weston Big Chief. I’m thinking something a bit more turny might make the little hill more fun. Would you go Party wave + or Yes Optimistic for this? I also picked up the DC HR after last season but haven’t ridden it yet. Seems like that might be more of a POW specific board, not a groomer ripper.

    Hello I 1’79m and 87kg, my main board is bataleon evil twin 1,56w . My size In this board is 1,51 or 1,54?
    Thanks

    I was just about to buy one off the back of this review and the recent top 5... but, quick check please, 95kg, size 11.5 US.... I'm nervous about your comment on the 157, which was my obvious go-to as party board alternative to my Flagship 162w. Still the right go to, or really push the button and hit a 154?

    Your review made me buy this board for my upcoming trip to Niseko.
