PUT TOAST'S OLD 632 IN THE ROLL BACK. Its what the people want!!!!
oh fuck ! that could lead to somewhere unknown !
Was coming to make the same comment
HELLFISH do you know Cleetus 😂??
HELLFISH overkill is the purpose of his channel
He has to.
Cleetus, there’s been a recall on those Harbor freight jack stands you’re using. I just returned mine. Don’t want y’all getting hurt using them.
Nice man
+1
If your not using a jack with a jack stands you deserve freedom machine to crush your skull in
Being surprised that something from harbor freight can kill you is like saying your surprised that McDonald's makes you fat

Swaps Toasts old engine into the tow truck
When somebody breaks down or crashes all they hear is just blower noises and surges from across the entire track
This needs to happen!!! 🤘
If you removed the blower and just set it up properly as NA that would be a properly capable tow vehicle. So much torque just from the basket-ball sized pistons.
YES YES YES
Yesssss
Toast’s “old” big block engine should be put into the flat bed. When Cleatus first showed the tow truck he said that he’d like to make it so that it could tow and do burnouts. I’m sure with that engine, even when n/a, would provide more than enough power to do that.
Yeah that's what I was thinking
If it wasn't gonna be out on the hiway, you could put some 'racier' tires on which might slip better, 'specially if they had a few extra pounds in them, and that might avoid the breakage a blown motor would do to the old beast. You'd twistthe frame if it hooked, and it's got duelies on the back. I've broke things in that extra truck just effing around with a stock engine. LOL It'll wheeel hooop like crazy if you put that much power to it, then bang, it'll throw the two piece driveshaft(?), out like a nunchuck, or drop the front u-joint if it's a one piece, and hump the old beast in the air, like a rutting dog!
Yeah, eff it, let's put the blown BBC in it. Or does toast have an LS? (I can't keep up with all the largess of riches of this 'fleet'. I've never had enough $$ to have 'several' race cars/toys. I was lucky enough to have at least one, most of the time.)

Hey Cleeter im an artist in Tampa and I would love to come down and cover the FF in hand painted lettering and logo's, like they did in the good ol days no vinyls ! I'd do it just to do it for the nostalgia of being there so many years after my dad and I would go all the time, no charge. Hit me back for examples of my work brother. I would really like to repair the big helmet that sits at the entrance. It's a local icon in itself ! let's do it..🙌🏽✌🏽
Send an email to him. I would love to somethings restored. But some modified of course
You should definitely reach out beyond UA-cam comments. Email or insta.
Hope to see you or your work in a future video. Good luck getting in touch with cleeter

Definitely reach out to him on social media or email
I don't know why but it's funny to watch a guy with some seriously tuned high horsepower vehicles drive a clapped out vehicle.
Sounds like the tow truck needs to become the "toast truck" with that extra blueprint motor!
The fuel filter is probably plugged solid in that thing.
Anyone one else want to see the ramp truck with toast's old motor
100%
Only if they twin turbo it and have the turbskies hanging out of the hood
make ALL the torque
I think he should just put a 5.9 cummins or a old Detroit in the mofo.
@@Thatoneredneckid agreed.
They should definitely put toasts old motor in the flatbed but if that’s too overkill I say change it up and put a Texas Speed 454 LSX In it
Great chance to use a duramax.
Ls or Cummins swap
I say they put a 2jz or eco boost in it just to be different!! Or better yet, a single turbo 4.8 stock engine tuned to about 550-600 hp and then tune locked
Let JH Who put a Duramax in it.
That truck generally deserves a lot of love!

I've had a couple of race cars on this truck over the years. Memories...... not good ones but memories nonetheless.
That square body GMC as well as Spence's Square Body Ford, daaaaaang those are some fine looking American Pickup Truck Automobiles.
Yeah the 80s early 90s was the golden era for American trucks. GMs paint wasnt the best, Ford too to a lesser extent, and the Dodge trucks just fell apart, but they all ran forever with minimal care
I know it's been said a million times, but I'll say it again. The ramp truck is a perfect candidate for toast's 632.
They likely wouldn't use it enough to waste that engine in.
Every one of them have nice trailers for hauling their vehicles.
I did comment the same thing then deleted it once I realized it didn't make sense.
I would love to see them build a mud racer truck with it.
We need a McFarland Towing and Recovery t-shirt now😂

Spence driving a beautiful OBS ànd listening to M.J.? I am falling in love 😂
That rollback most likely has a hydroboost set up, meaning the power steering pump runs the power brakes in addition to the power steering. So if you have no power steering, that would also be the cause of the weak brakes
“Spaghetti donuts” why not Spaghetti-O’s?

When you see they’re using the same jack stands that Harbor Freight recalled earlier this week
They recalled a couple different "number" versions of them. I'm guessing, but I'd say most people don't own the affected ones. Everyone should check, though. The 4 I own aren't recalled.

Hate to point out that the GM hydro-boost powers the

@@realbigdady its not, my 82 has hydro boost and that truck is newer
@@Popcanfish1 what does that have to do with what the original comment was about?
When you load a car on the flatbed, you need to roll the bed forward with the landing gear on the ground until the bed is almost to the locks then tilt it down. you tilted it flat way too far back and that puts a lot of stress on an aluminum bed and the rear suspension.
Was thinking the same thing.. always keep the weight on the rear legs until the bed is slid in so far then tilt down and slide into the locks
And put that car as far forward as you can, that aluminum bed can't handle that kind of stress for long
@@williamschmidt395 Its ok, Texas speed will send him a 427 aluminum bed
They need to see this post !
The tow police are on UA-cam too? But they are right move the bed forward with the knee on the ground until the mass of weight is past the rear axle then lower the bed. It’s not a dodge so I doubt the frame will crack 😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nice to see that truck running. With a good tune up and some things fixed you will have a great truck. One thing you need to do is find out how to operate it . You need to load car on first then run bed up. If you don’t you will break the truck in half. I was a tow truck dealer for many years and sold a ton of these flatbeds. You have a classic unit. It is going to service you well. Enjoy
That overcast Florida lighting is beautiful.
Time to find a nice 8.1L LS with cable driven throttle (for a manual throttle control inside to increase RPMs) plus a NV4500 to swap into that flat bed.
Those 496 big blocks with a slightly upgraded cam are beasts. Would love to see some modern big block love on this channel
nah, put another cummins in it
@@Jack-im2wd True but for a work horse, some engines need the torque a lot more than the horsepower. Get something too over powered and you know he will flip the ramp truck running the track at 70mph. At least with a mostly stock 6.2 or 8.1L, it will haul the load great but not be so fast they try to race it like the rest of the cars.
The 8.1 isn't an LS
Or an LBZ duramax swap
Oprah’s voice “ Leroy, you get a 427! Ruby, you get a 427! Dale truck, you get a 427! Tow truck, you get a 427!”

LSX454
Nah a fully built turbo 2jz would do lol
Shoutout Alex! Seems like a quiet kid but a hard worker forsure 💪🏼
Idle it up when operating the bed and you can use the bed to raise the rear tires off the ground. Only need a Jack for the steer tires. I run a heavy 30ton Miller 567 peterbuild
Cletus, their should be a high idle switch or setting somewhere for when you use the hydro for the bed.. making the whole process quicker. after 86 they had it.. check for a toggle or push button.
very true, JH will probably show him when its at the shop, he would know.
Was there a 2 speed rear axle in that rollback? Seemed like the rear was in high gearing. Hard to tell, if you notice it has already been switched from Automatic to a manual transmission. So hard to tell if they bothered to put another switch in for the rear hi lo...
kram Null That trucks way too small to have a 2 spd rear end. Just a regular Chevy 1 ton Camper Special. Probably wasn’t swapped from an automatic, someone probably just put and automatic steering column in.
There’s no damn high idle switch. First of all high idle is only applicable to anything with some type of fuel injection system. Whether it be gas or diesel. There may be a throttle cable setup but it would be on the lower dash above the gas pedal. But I doubt it had one because from the factory and yes Chevrolet ford and dodge all made incomplete trucks and shipped them to Holmes, Chevron, and Miller, Weldbuilt, etc wrecker companies, they did not put a throttle lock.
Big Jim Wouldn't be too hard to put a a factory AC throttle solenoid on the carbonator then you would have a toggle switch high idle. Simple problems require Simple Solutions
I’m gonna be so sad when the month of freedom is over honestly I love the daily vids 😂
James, Turbo that V-6! PLEASE!!

Cleetus, i really hope to see you in the near future restoring that ol square body tow truck and settin a BADASS 572 under the hood... Hell, even a Duramax would be sweet.. TURBSKIES son!
That truck is in dire need of a “3” on the side of it
Towing cars off the race track for Dale!
"Were gonna need a bigger tow truck." Can you tow a tow truck that's already towing? Perfect intro!
Yes you can. One winter the gas station across from where I worked sent a pickup style tow truck out to jump start a car. That truck died, so they sent the bigger unit. Watching the driver back a tow truck that was towing a tow truck that was towing a car, and have him dead on in the garage bay on the first time was poetry in motion.
Thats an everyday sight here in Hungary. Gypsies towing their clapped out smaller tow truck while towing a probably stolen car on top of it on the highway doubleing the speedlimit. 😂
I can just picture the thumbnail already
Finnegan
When you operate the bed, make sure the rear feet are still on the ground when you are rolling the bed forward with a vehicle loaded onto it. It’s hard on the subframe when you put the bed all the way down flat and then slide it forward with a vehicle on it. Especially something heavy like that Cummins Galaxie. It makes it a lot easier to strap/chain the rear vehicle to the bed this way too. Then when you sit the bed all the way down flat, it won’t have far to move until it slides into the bed locks. Looks like a pretty nice old Holmes C172 rollback!

Them square bodies had this thing where the door latch would close without you closing the door, what ya gotta do is push in the door button and stick your finger in where the door striker would and and pull the latch back to center
I accidentally did that to a friends truck, took us a minute to figure it out

I can tell if there was ever snow there it would be a hell of a show
Hey Cleetus you should ask the old owners for a picture of what that Chevy flatbed used to look like when it had fresh paint and decals and show us
I second that! I dig those ...80's? ...90's? style checkered flag graphics on it! It would look sweet with a period-appropriate paint job! Takes me back to being a kid and watching nascar and all those car shows with my dad! Good times!
I love those looks too. When my dad was racing he Had a duly extended cab pick up truck long bed. I don’t remember what Year it was but it was a two-tone black on top white on bottom with the checkered flag decal stretch across the doors
If I were HOLLEY I’d have cleet through Sniper EFI on that old rig to prove how simple it is
I 2nd that idea. everybody has a old turd like that. if the HOLLY EFI works there. It would be a sales promotion masterpiece.
I would go with a Terminator X Stealth throttle body setup myself, but same difference.
They could do a universal Terminator X MPFI kit(THE best deal in stand-alones IMO - just installed the Fox kit on a mildly built 306" SBF, it's killer for the cash) as well with a direct port EFI manifold swap, it's an appropriate budget setup for such an application too. Not to mention, they can support electronic trans control and DBW throttle bodies in 'X Max' form, so they could keep using it with any future gas V8 drivetrain swaps in it, old or new.
I won't lie, I'm a Haltech fan boy(DAT NEXUS THO - what a fawkin unit!) - but Holley just crushed the entry level/budget stand alone EFI market over the past few years, both TBI and MPFI, universal and application specific(not only is it not just for LSxes, but they ACTUALLY have Mod motor stuff! Unbelievable! Lol).
You guys should put the big block that was in Toast when you got him into the roll back. Just cam it for torque and you'd be all set!
Love those HF jack stands
Cleetus: REQUIRED to use every bit of tread on EVERY tire we own on the properties. Failure to do so results in no Bartle Skeets for you
4:19 HARBOR FREIGHT JACK STAND!!! What out ol' Cleeter that deal is a killer!!!
Damn, you boys hit a fucken goldmine with the freedom factory, lots of work to get it up to where ya need it but fucken good job, yeeeeeew!!!
For future reference there should be a way to set a high idle for the PTO and when you load something heavy like that put it as far forward as possible.
Fix the engine, redo the interior, the lights and the wheels. Leave the rest the same. She’ll look pretty mint 👌🏻
The truck should have a high idle switch for when operating the bed if not a A/C solenoid for carburetors on a switch would work great for raising the idle while bed is in operation.
That and while operating the truck with a load on it run the bed forward some so that the cylinders don't have to pull Weight of the load down and stress the frame or the Hydraulic cylinders, there made to lift if you pull with them they can break! Not all the way forward, just enough so there not doing the work of puling. you don't want to land on the lock, but the pads before the lock.
Running the bed straight back, then tilting gives a little better load angle too. Adding boards would have helped.
Love the revamp
Love your channel you guys are awesome just watched the roll back video it would be so cool to trick it out to look like the Dale truck let me know if you like this idea.
