Beagle puppies alone is enough incentive to click and watch. The test info is a bonus.

Yellow all the way❤ He reminds me of my own dog. I got him as a rehome at 11-12 weeks old so there wasn’t any testing but temperament wise he is very similar. When I first met him he was off leash chilling in the front yard w/ his owner at the time. I don’t actually remember him coming up to me but when I picked him up he wasn’t that much of a fan. He didn’t fight just went a little stiff. But in my lap he was a very sweet boy. I loved how he wasn’t afraid just cared more about his owner than a stranger which is a huge plus for me as I’m not all that social of a person. But when he did engage he was surprisingly mellow and submissive. There was a little downside to his submissive behavior when it came to correcting any behavior- ie. He acted like being told No was the end of the world and essentially pouted 😂 . Besides that he’s been amazing. We click so well I honestly forget he is my dog and not just my best friend. We’ve earned obedience and trick dog titles we even did task training and passed a public access test. Yesterday was his birthday, he’s 3 years old now. When he’s around 4-5 I want to get another dog most likely a beagle. I’m cautious though because my family dynamics with my dog and cat is perfect we all understand and love each other. I want to make sure any puppy I bring home will fit into our laidback but still engaging family.

Really appreciate how you put this video together. It is helpful to see each of the puppies responses side by side to each of the tests. Additionally, your commentary is clear and descriptive. Thank you for putting this together!

Awesome vid. Red seems to have that energetic non-lap dog personality. Great for exploring, maybe even working if the owner is a good leader. Orange Orange seems the most neutral for temperament. A little apprehensive and some stubbornness, but pretty calm and willing to play. Yellow would be perfect for a first-time owner dog, he likes to play and is calmer than Orange, just needs some more tolerance to touching in weird places. Pink is a bit shy, very independent, and has prey drive so pretty hard to train. Purple is almost exactly like Red, but has some shyness. These are just my observations, I'm not an expert on dogs! :)

Great video. Thank you so much for the hard work. I wonder which one of them has the greatest potential to be a good therapy dog?

I think I would pick purple from this litter. I have my own bigger version of Pink and he’s a nightmare. Untrainable because he’s so so independent. He could care less what I say to him.

What type of family would best suit each puppy based on these results? What do these behavioral responses predict? Loved this video!!

What degree of heritability do these traits have? For example, if you were to breed two mostly 1's pups, would you expect most of the litter to be 1's? If you bred two 5's would you get a neurotic litter that would be hard to place?

Which one did you keep for yourself? The puppies are adorable... but as a boxer person, I was especially delighted to see the boxer camo at the end! :)
