An awesome Journal, Luise. I love the blue denim (denim is my favorite fabric), binding, stitching, and Barbara is going to be so thrilled to receive it. AMAZING, Luise... 113 Journals... CONGRATULATIONS. I'm so excited for DEPHEMEREMBER to start and see what Barbara's Journal to you is going to look like. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Luise, it has been so endearing to see you put so much love and attention into this journal for Barbara. I know she is going to love it when she sees it! TFS 😊
I'm so sorry I laughed when you said "I want to freak my freak", but you are too funny. I am very much looking forward to watching all the Dephemerember videos. Thank you so much for sharing all your creations and your brilliant imagination.
Hi Luise, perhaps someone already wrote to you, I didn't read all the comments but the cradle is actually supposed to be used with paper template. You just take a piece of sturdier paper and make one line of the holes from top to bottom, something like you have in your spine and fold it in the line where you have the holes. Then you put the signature in the cradle like you did and put the template in as kind of the middle "page" and then you pierce signature with awl through the holes in the template. I think Nik the Booksmith has a video on UA-cam where she shows how to make your own cradle and how to use it. ❤
Absolutely love this journal and Barbara will too! It helps so much to have you and Barbara giving us the inspiration to get our journals made so we won’t be freaking our freak when Dephemerember rolls around! 🤣💕🇨🇦
Every time i watch one of your videos i have to buy something! Today its bookbinders hlue and that ruler. ...and speaking of that ruler, nice save, despite freaking your freak! 😉🙌❤️
You can make a stand to enable you to put holes into book pages. Take two pieces of cardboard the length you need to insert your papers. The width can be 4 to 6 inches wide each. Use duct tape to tape the cardboard together length wiseMake supports for each end that will allow your taped pieces to form a “v”. Place your pages into the v and make your holes. Fold up the when not in use
Ugh! I wish you were either in the US, or I was in Germany. I do woodworking and fixing that book cradle to fit your ruler would be so easy for me to do! I wish I could do it for you.
A little notice. If you like the Craft Emotions bookbinders glue make sure you stock up if you can because Craft Emotions stopped so you won't be able to get it anymore in the near future!!!
A beautiful gift... the work and personal touches! ❤
I really appreciate that you kept the struggles in your process. The journal is marvelous!

Hello. I love when you get excited or exasperated a speak from English to German. Sorry the helper book cradle didn’t fit your new tool.

where can I buy the ruler with the holes?
I found a book cradle on Etsy for 2.99
You can erase permanent marker by drawing over it with a dry wipe pen. Then you just wipe it off. 🙂
What glue if i dont have book binders glue? Fabri fix?
I just watched Barbara’s video and she used full strength PVA glue.
Barbara uses regular pva, not watered down
