I feel the most at ease when I'm journaling. I think I feel the most at ease journaling because I think about what I want to write about and then I just let it flow. It is like releasing what I've been feeling and thinking about onto paper.
i don't comment that much on youtube but i like the idea of "homework" that you give and i love reading about other peoples experiences! to fully relax is actually pretty difficult for me but what always calmes me down and just feels so good is singing out loud! :)
Hi Carrie! These series couldn’t come in a better time. I’ve watched the first two videos at the hospital. I suffer from headaches and doctors found that I had a frontal sinus thrombosis. So they made me some studies. I’m fine luckily. Just waiting for some blood test results. So I’ve decided to take what happened as an opportunity to change. I was working too much, I was not eating well or sleeping enough. I’ve started meditating a few months ago. It’s not easy for me but I will keep practicing it. I decided: 1. To listen to my body 2. Eat healthier 3. Meditate and practice progressive muscle relaxation 4. Practice gratitude 5. Focus on positive things and nice people around me and not focus in what I don’t have or people who are not really there for me I’ve read something that it’s so true: sometimes you have to unfollow people in real life. I’m so happy for you girl :) Here comes a lengthy bit: I’m just sending this on here because I know the odds of you seeing it are more likely: So on my channel, I’m thinking of starting a series featuring women entrepreneurs of all different kinds who are inspiring and striving to live life to its fullest. You’ve always been a big inspiration to me and you are one of the few content creators who actually motivate me to keep going even when I feel my passion and channel’s going nowhere. I’ve come up with a few title ideas such as: “Beauty, Brains + Bravery”, “Chic Courage”, and “Fearless Females”. I’m leaning towards the latter! I think it has a nice ring to it :) So these videos will be between 5-10 minutes and I would basically just interview you with a few questions about your past, your challenges and setbacks, and your motivations and goals for the future! The world is so scary these days and I think it’s so important that we as females lift each other up. I think females, especially, encounter a lot of challenges in life and have to make a lot of hard decisions & I think it’s something that needs to be discussed more often. So whenever I visit LA next, would that be something you’re interested in? I’m trying to get a hold of a few people to talk with when I visit again soon. I like to read out there and sometimes mediate. I'll close my eyes and just breathe into the moment. It's so quiet and all I here is the breeze and the birds chirp. I go to college in a busy city, so it's harder for me to relax when I'm there. I'm home for the summer, and I'm loving the stillness and relaxed vibes.
Your voice is so incredibly serene. You are the best at making calm, tranquil videos. I feel relaxed when I am reading. I often find myself wanting to escape thoughts during the day that make me feel anxious and insecure and diving into a story is the perfect way for me to do that. It also usually puts me right to sleep after about 20 minutes!
I’m most relaxed when I’m cooking or singing. They often go hand in hand :) once I’m immersed in cooking a meal my mind goes into a state of flow, and I start singing without even realizing it.
love this series, thank you. ❤ I feel most relaxed during a bath with candles and soothing meditation music. I also find my getting ready makeup ritual to be very relaxing as well. It makes me feel and look good which puts my mind at ease, and it's 15-20 minutes of alone time away from kids etc.
Absolutely loving this series Carrie! I always feel most at ease when i'm walking. If I'm stressed or down I take a walk (A beach walk preferably.... water is so calming for me too.) Its almost as if, for me, if i can't do anything about a situation I know I can carry on walking and I think its that certainty or ability to just do something that calms me.
Carrie, you are an inspiration, seriously.. :) Lately I love to listen here on Yotube nature sounds, one of my best sound in the world- crickets, forest sounds and that kind of things (especially at the evenings) just to escape for a while from this world and dive into another- forest, or field , etc. And the most of the time it works and it's an incredible feeling! I have tried meditation but it is very difficult for me to focus on my breath, when I think about it it gets unnatural and I end up out of breath... :( The thing that really helps me to relax when I am feeling stressed or anxious is ASMR, do you like it? That was so cool to hear about your meditation experience! That must have felt so good! Do you think it was because of the type of yoga class you were doing? I'm really interested to know more about different styles because I've recently started going to a warm hatha yoga class and I'm so glad I started. I've wanted to do yoga for years but never found the right class to go to but now I'm wondering what took me so long because it feels so right to be doing it. Kind of like I should have been doing it all along. The strength that you build is amazing, but I really do enjoy the stretching and pausing. I find that so relaxing - the calm, meditative parts. I have a toddler so it can be hard to find those moments but yoga has created that little slice of peace for me haha and his bed time! Have you ever tried experimenting with psi ball? It can get kind of wacky, but it is a way to meditate that involves your body. Look into it, it’s cool!

When I meditate my cat joins me, also I use the better back for back support. When my cat is on my lap and we meditate together is most relaxed for me.
I don't feel relaxed a whole lot but like you, I'm drawn to water so I feel relaxed when I can only hear roaring water/waves or in the shower for a quick pick me up. 💦💦

I don't feel relaxed a whole lot but like you, I'm drawn to water so I feel relaxed when I can only hear roaring water/waves or in the shower for a quick pick me up. 💦💦
