Awesome video. Would you mind sharing the type of camera and lens you are using. I want to step my videos up a notch. Also, what mode of focus do you use? Love your videos.
So many bands claim to be the baddest band in the land, and that's fine; however, this band "The Marching Wildcats of Bethune Cookman University" are the baddest band known to man. #disciplined #consistentyearafteryear #precision #sound
@tristan11406 with most college bands, the hosting band will give the traveling band a certain time to perform. Idk about most bands, but at Cookman. Mr Wells cuts the dance girl number and drill first to stay within timing
Good lord the one drum major fell! I wouldn't wanna be him afterwards! Great job though , bcu is one of my favorite bands! Great sound and spirit, my band director went there.
I heard intonation problems in the dance routine & at the end of the slow number & at times the band balance was off & the tones on them lower brass instruments are not wassup also during the slow number someone was sticking out
As an alum of the Human Jukebox of Southern University Old School c/o 74-77. I personally have always enjoyed BCC's sound. Impeccable balance, intonation, and articulation. However, you must also demonstrate your intelligence! Several dance routines but no drills??? You guys usually do a great job of building your shows. Don't stray from what makes great Black College Bands even greater!
Oh really, could you tell me why b/c I had no idea it got cut short. I'm surprised they even had enough time to make alterations to their feature, but that just goes to show how professional they are.
Even though the two of DM hats fell of they still did a good; Being a DM is not an easy job. 14k did a good job too, I would have like to see a little complexity but overall it was a good performance. Good show BCU!
There are a LOT of BCU arrangements I just don't like, but that is how a band should sound on the field. I like the way they drilled as well, though I would love to see one of thier shows with a more upbeat tempo
Some things never change. BCU will always have a big band with good sound. They don't do anything to "wow" you but they're consistently good. They do need to pick up their tempo a bit.
Great job Pride! Love your video postings and video quality, but a couple of the closeups missed the effect the band was portraying. Wide angle shots normally capture the best that the Pride has to offer. For the Drum Major entrance and 14K - close up shots are sufficient. Overall, I really enjoyed the performance and video. Thanks!
Thanks for the advice. It would be easier for me if I knew the routine going in, but since I'm not on staff at BCU or know the show going...I just wing it.
Their really good except for tha one drum major that fell but overall it was good..... can't wait until next weekend when our band go down there for their homecoming and do tha post game
[B-TONE] Like they used to say; Give props where props is due. That EUPHONIUM sound is tremendously powerfull. I miss those upright horns, it gives the band a full sound no matter what direction they're faced. I wonder where BCU's sudden influx of numbers came from though? :/ ....oh yeah; that... Nevertheless, well done. Carry on! [EXPRESS]

Wish they where coming to play a&t this year

They're gonna blow famu away this yr....
Powerful sound my gosh if I see any hate or disrespect ur not musically inclined giving credit rivals sound good

Song at 1:26. Thank you.
bethune i love you guys coming from marching 101 member
The drum major loses his hat yet he still sticks the matrix head thing
JESUS!!! I didn't know BCU was that huge! When the camera zoomed out for the first time, I nearly spit sprite on my ipad!
LMAO
TSU, WE AIN'T NEVER SCARED! 7:38
Damn they sound so clean. Can't wait until they come to NC
They got a powerful brass section
They've been the same size on the field since 03. Its only 224.
Good lord the one drum major fell! I wouldn't wanna be him afterwards! Great job though , bcu is one of my favorite bands! Great sound and spirit, my band director went there.
That damn In The Stone intro gives me chills!
0:35 - 1:02 BCU drum majors have one the best entrances! These young men were working so hard that two of them lost their hats!
They sound soooooooooooooooooo good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are only seven 14K dancers this year?
I heard intonation problems in the dance routine & at the end of the slow number & at times the band balance was off & the tones on them lower brass instruments are not wassup also during the slow number someone was sticking out
"DYNAMITE"
Thanks for the 50 yd line footage
They always have such a full rich sound. I love them!
I love this band, showmanship for years, they r my 2nd fav, tho Morris Brown is gone they will 4eva b my fav
Did they get bigger??
Wow!!!!! BCU looking and sounding GOOD!!!!
That "You & I" is classic

@tristan11406 14k routine was cut short due to time
Suit and Tie? Or the intro?
I love band videos. :-)
Weren't there more girls in the stands?
man im a tsu fan all the way.but bcu sounds great.these are 2 great sounding bands.
Strong sound, clean look, and its only the first game. Great work BCU. Cant wait to see yall in Miami. Hail Wildcats!!!!!!!!
Are any MEAC Bands playing Holy Grail?
Oh really, could you tell me why b/c I had no idea it got cut short. I'm surprised they even had enough time to make alterations to their feature, but that just goes to show how professional they are.
Yes im going only bcu fan in a all famu family
OMG those bass drums on the drill (listen to it with some speakers that have bass).
I was right next to Bethune cook man dupe ring the game and the DM said that his strap broke on his hat that's why it fell off
BCU great show! Continue to represent FL well while the 100 goes through the rebuilding process.
Maaaan they are going to destroy FAMU!!!!!!!
Even though the two of DM hats fell of they still did a good; Being a DM is not an easy job. 14k did a good job too, I would have like to see a little complexity but overall it was a good performance. Good show BCU!
That sound is undeniably great. Love the balance of instruments.
I would love to see BCU and Jackson State meet up at the MEAC SWAC Challange
oh okay, thats makes sense.
They've been doing that. FAMU been falling off by the year. BCU march, play, breath, phrase together. That makes the difference in a marching band.
Them DM's got fined for losing their hats and falling?
There are a LOT of BCU arrangements I just don't like, but that is how a band should sound on the field. I like the way they drilled as well, though I would love to see one of thier shows with a more upbeat tempo
I would like to see a more upbeat tempo also but i love what they do.
This band can really march!
Thanks for another great quality video. #hailwildcats I'm so proud of them.
What was the first song?
#The100 #FAMUSwag
Some things never change. BCU will always have a big band with good sound. They don't do anything to "wow" you but they're consistently good. They do need to pick up their tempo a bit.
Tubas last year tubas this year
14k. No. Nice ending but y'all are known for cutting up a field. No
@Corey ModernWarNegro junior
The intro is called In the Stone
Great job Wildcats
That comment I just posted was literally a mistake; please disregard it 🙄
What is the song at 6:14? Please help!
as a former CESE band member i've seen better from them. overall still crushed TnSU.
NCA&T played it. They have probably played 25 or more new songs this year.
this is one great band
Suit & Tie & Blurred Lines . . . I Love Cookman :) , Definatley my future college !!
I'll always root for TNSU... but BCU did that! Half time goes to them hands down... Great job!
New formation was amazing omg
I love when bcu plays you and I !❤️
Me too I just love my team playing at halftime battle of the bands😊😳
Damn the sound is strong strong showing for Florida college bands
I love BCU but I realized that they march so high because of the slow tempo they march at.
Montinez marching full 90s a full show is still pretty difficult but yea I'm sure the tempo is kept to a certain pace to make sure it isn't unfeasible
Great job Pride! Love your video postings and video quality, but a couple of the closeups missed the effect the band was portraying. Wide angle shots normally capture the best that the Pride has to offer.

I have a friend that goes there she the best yes bcu all day !!!!!
Thanks for the advice. It would be easier for me if I knew the routine going in, but since I'm not on staff at BCU or know the show going...I just wing it.
Hey the drum majors was real cute. Learning from FAMU's band camp. Lmao. Glad y'all took something home
Great Intro ! Love BCU "Let's Go Wildcats"
*cookman
Those drummajors were so good except for when the two hats fell off and one fell from the back bend.
Their really good except for tha one drum major that fell but overall it was good..... can't wait until next weekend when our band go down there for their homecoming and do tha post game
Sounds damn good
Some of you people obviously aren't use to seeing quality bandsmanship and musicality working in unison.
ok dr.lee
Damn he lost his had and put his mace on his cape unfortunate that woulda be nice
FAMU has it comin this yearj... (totally ignore the drum major. SMH) Awesome job as usual. Amazing
Suit and tie arrangement isn't all that.
Does anyone have the homecoming show ?
I would love to see JSU be BCU's size. I want to see JSU vs WSSU too. Two JSU directors going against each other
Great sound but very boring overall, as usual
Song at 8:17?
Ciara - Body Party
And people say black people don't do well in marching band. BS!
CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THEM HERE IN NC NOVEMBER 2. THEM WILD CATS GONNA GET LOOSE!! RRRRR
