I'm pretty sure I"m not the only person who watches these videos and dreams of birding and hanging out with Bob. Another great one, Bob! Please keep them coming!
Yeah, this one was particularly fun. There are some other places I'd like to try for the same thing. Any place with a strong tide and a narrow channel.
Amazing place! I recently filmed chickadees by a feeder and instead of trying to set my camera and tripod to their whims and quick movements, I just watched where they landed most often, set my camera on that and started filming. I let them come to me : ) And hey! Grasslands National Park is a few hours away from my home town! It's magical there!
Sitting in the intertidal zone in a camp chair, reminiscing about all your *other* bad ideas...🤣🤣🤣 Hope you didn't fall asleep there! 😉 Seriously, though, I love your vids, I've learned a lot from them, and I can't wait to get back up to Maine to check out some of these places you've highlighted. Can't wait for the next one!
Great video Bob, my son moved to Portland and I live in VT. We’ve birded along the coast thanks to your videos and we’ll have to get up thayer and check out this spot. Thank you for putting these together.
I always look forward to watching your videos! You incorporate the quintessential amount of bird facts, anecdotes, history tidbits, descriptions of locations, and of course cinematography all under the direction of your apparent wisdom and hilarious wit. Remember me for your 1 million subscriber special!!
It's awesome year-round, though most of the ducks won't be there. Scoters, eiders and mergansers will mostly be gone. Eagles, gulls, and some waterfowl will still be around. It's gorgeous and therefore popular in summer, but seldom crowded. Since it's right on the way to Schoodic Point in Acadia National Park, I stop there often in winter.
Yeah, we've got a great hawk watch and a great sea watch in Acadia National Park. I've been using that chair more and more lately. By the way - heading to Arizona in May. Loads of lifers are awaiting me there.

It is always nice to get the "Bob" notification...👍 It made my morning. Always informative and fun.
"This is more fun than being a functioning adult" Good one!

Goodness! abbreviation IS too long for short! never thought of that. Thanks for the bird knowledge, humor and eye opening thoughts.
I discovered chair biding a couple of years ago. There's a lot to be said for it.
yay Bob!
Yay, me!
I am going through a very hard loss and your video really was the first smile I had in days. I absolutely loved the end, thank you Bob :)
Keep fighting the good fight, Functional Adult!
I was hoping my second childhood would arrive sooner, but I'll take what I can get.
When I get a notification of a new video by you, I get all giddy about the birds we get to see! Great little video!
This one was particularly fun to do, and so easy. The birds really cooperated.
Eiders and one-liners.
And the next one will be even worse.

Ha! At the rate the channel is growing, I'll get my 1 millionth subscriber 20 years after I'm dead. LOL
Bob, Excellent video!!Great variety of birds!
Glad you enjoyed it
thanks Bob, excellent work, as always. By the way, you are sitting in Hancock, though I guess both towns can lay equal claim to the Falls.
Well, that's a good point. I never know where the line is there. LOL
We here in Sullivan like to think it’s ours, though we don’t really have access as it’s on private property
Neat spot. Thanks for sharing!
It's popular in summer. But on a winter's day, I didn't see another person for 6 hours. Had it all to myself!
Always love your videos!
Your videos make me happy. 🙂
They make me happy, too. I do them mostly to amuse myself.
Nice video, different style of sharing the information 👍
Another great video. Is this place good year round or better suited for winter?

So layed back wouldn't have it any other way !!!
This one was just plain fun. I think the next one will be, too. It's winter. What else am I going to do in Maine besides shovel snow?
This is the same kind of birding you can do at the Hawk Watch in Tubac, Arizona! Just set up your lawn chair and let the birds fly over you.
