Great video! Thanks for the South TX birding therapy tonight. You had some more great lifers. Yes, the two boardwalks next to each other are crazy. I don't know the back-story. In 2005 when we first visited, there was only the Laguna Madre boardwalk. Our lifer then was a Least Bittern and I have 30 min of video of it! Unbelievable.
Love your videos. I always watch them. Note: The waterthrush is a Louisiana. It has an unstreaked throat, pink-buff sides and bright white brow. Hope it is still a lifer!
Thank you very much for sharing. In addition, the Cattail Marsh in Beaumont is incredible and worth a visit. It is not far away from Winnie, just go east on I-10.
Great video and we both have the same camera. I appreciate how you can capture good shots of the warblers. We are prepping for a third week of April trip back to Sabine Woods. Your video is an excellent refresher. I will be subscribing and looking for the next video. Thanks again. Oh, I agree about the Louisiana Waterthrush.
I'm planning a trip there this year. You said during "peak migration"..... So I'm assuming late April, into May ? But I hate to "assume" :) lol Sure would like to know the exact dates of these birding stops. TY for the great video though. Helps to give me a good idea of what to expect :)
Thank you so much for showing this fine video of some of the birds that you met on your trip to Texas. At what time of year did you visit these reserves?
Great video, what a fantastic trip! I hope to see migration there one day - those warblers! 😍 Do you use Merlin sound ID when you bird? Where did you fly into and what area of Texas is this in? Thanks for all the great tips.
Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it! I usually don't use Merlin Sound ID when birding. I flew into Houston Hobby Airport and most of these spots are near High Island, Texas.
Thanks for Sharing. This was a great video on birding this area. Really appreciate the effort you put into it. Great Job.
Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Great video. Based on the lifers you were finding I’d say you must be from the west coast. California maybe.
