After ridding the Fred Whitton this weekend I can confirm your scores are right as I thought this was a great climb but pretty much all the ones I done on the Fred I suspect will beat this mow cop climb. I enjoyed this mow cop climb and its doable if you can smash big watts for a short time
How was the Fred this year?! Looked like amazing weather for it! Of the Lake District climbs I’ve done so far, they’ll score well. Once I get around to making those videos. Do need big watts at the end of Mow Cop to keep moving on that savage section! Have you ridden it yet?
Mountain bike gear ratio. Much prefer it. I NEVER stand up on the bike to climb. Always seated. I have grx 46-30 chainrings and 11-42 cassette. Works a treat.
@@andrewon2wheels ohhhhhhh ok well yeah your on a mountain bike then which just LOOKS like a road bike… climbing that is very different from climbing a road bike. Road bikers have to learn to stand and climb bc if it’s steep enough your forced to stand out of the saddle.
More gears for hills always helps! You’ll love the bigger cassette. 👍 I used to have 34-34. Still sat down. But going to the easier ratio made it more doable.

Thanks for sharing
No worries. Glad you enjoyed it. 👍🚴♂️
Have you ridden Mow Cop?
Enjoyment are you for real ?
Enjoyment haha! All 0
Haha 😂
Why in the world are you seated? Get out of the saddle. How is it possible to even be seated? Using mountain bike gears? Still why no standing?

Gear ratio wise absolutely. But I wouldn’t fancy a Mtb trail on it with no suspension and much narrower tyres!
@@andrewon2wheels lol yea totally. I’ve got a compact up front and an 11-36 on back. Havnt tried it yet though
