Difficulty staring after getting Gas/Petrol on a 2010 Hyundai Accent

Cheap homesteading is is fixing his daughters car. The car runs good but when she gets gas / petrol the car becomes very hard to start. He talked to a friend and he had the same problem awhile back. He changed the purge valve and it fixed the problem. So today we are changing the purge valve on a 2010 Hyundai Accent.

Good Video. Tip, take the extra 5 minutes to pull off the big hose from the air box to intake. It gave my non-surgical big ham hands more room to work and saved lots of time. Just loosen screws on both end, take off the end on the air box first and super easy from there.

Hey, Just a note on Hyundai Accent 2010 They must have a good battery as if not it will bring up problems that are not problems like starting. The the Timing sensor I would replace OEM only. If you can get it. I replaced my battery voltage was good and amp were fair but after changing battery with new one no starting problems.

IF ITS CLOSED YOU BLOW THE ENGINE OR SPRING A LEAK AND IF ITS OPEN YOU ARE PUTTING STRESS ON THE ENGINE AND BURNING HALF OF YOUR GAS TANK FOR NOTHING

Does this method work for 2012 Hyundai accent as well? Also did the car ever turn off at stop signs or displayed 0 rpm after turning on before the part was replaced?

I have a 2014 Hyundai Accent and the exact same thing happens to me. The car suddenly loses power when at a stop sign/light, especially while on a hill. I’m usually able to get the car started again after a long crank and the RPM does not display for the length of the trip. I’m planning on replacing the fuel pump next week, let me know if you have found anything useful.

The tach showing zero is a big clue to check the crankshaft position sensor and wiring.

@@cheaphomesteading thanks I've got 11 days to get car fixed the car has had 4 oil changes spark plug changed once at 110k didn't pass inspection did u have drive awhile for code disappear?

I erased the codes with my code reader. But you can disconnect battery for a minute reconnect and it should reset the code. If it comes back there is more problems

Cool beans,I have a 62 starchief that has no repairs these imports are disposable.im doing the repair tommrow if it works no engine light I should pass,I'll do battery trick ,drive for awhile hopefully get more acceleration to keep up on highway
