Thanks and indeed, they are certainly trying harder with the system lately again against fair use content, which is why it took me a few days longer than usual to get this one out and why I had to resort to slide showing that one clip, but I'll keep doing these for as long as I can anyway 😉👍
Thanks for the video. It'd be cool if ya did a video on the 73 oldsmobile delta 88 from evil dead/Sam Raimi films. Its in almost all of his film's. Haven't seen anyone do anything on his car other than yt shorts, so might be a cool vid.
I recall comments about the car when the Toby McGuire Spider-Man movie was released. The car reportedly belonged to a Raimi family member and no longer ran, at least at the time of the movie. He probably still has it. So it would be an interesting vid.
My Grandfather had a Convertible 60’s Lincoln Continental he bought from Robert Keeshan or who everyone knows as “Captain Kangaroo”. Mr. Keeshan used to buy a new one every year. My Grandfather used it in parades in Ft. Myers after he moved from NY.
Bought the 1/18 scale at toys are us, on clearance for 10 dollars. Obviously a good investment. On that same day I also bought The Car, for the same price. Always wonder what happen to the death mobile. Just like I always wondered what become of the Dodge brother truck from Green Acres, alias Mr. Haney's truck & the Hoyt Clagwal tractor. I think I spelled the tractor name right, well your fans will know what I mean. Its like they disappeared from the public eye as well. Enjoyed the video.
I can't believe I still haven't seen this movie. I love raunchy comedies like this. I never knew about that Lincoln, though. There's a guy close to my neighborhood who owns this generation Continental and he's been just letting it rot in his driveway for well over a decade now. Pisses me off every time I see it. That's no way to treat a classic car.
again, another vehicle it would've took me a month of sundays to think about doing a killer facts list on. i don't know how you do it my friemd but please keep it up. excellent work as always.
Thanks for another one!! While not a big time contender compared to other subjects you've covered, this one is truly a cult like classic!! ..."Just tell him it was stolen."
Ah yes, but a 62 Lincoln has curved side windows, while the 64 has flat side windows. I guess none of that would matter once they converted it to the Deathmobile.
4:12 4 door 1957/58 Plymouth Belverdere/Savoy with the Iconic Christine tail lights, for a car that would have been only 4-5 years old in the timeline of 1962, looks like The Deltas wrecked that one also 🤣
There was a movie a few years back with a hot rod Lincoln similar to this with a famous actor/comedian in it and it was sweet. Wished I could remember the movie and the actor.
Great video, although I will admit that it's totally disappointing that no one chose to secure the actual death mobile from Animal House, that would have been great to actually admire for a long time for sure, still great video as always.
@CarStarz42 but as true as that statement is,they were still better off salvaging it and giving it a proper restoration and also putting it in an auto museum so that it would be admired for a long time, that would have been nice for sure.
@@claytonthomas1980preserving movie cars wasn't considered important in those days. It was just a prop, nothing more. Also, there s no way they would have thought Animal House would become so popular.
Never seen that movie, never will, especially after seeing that beautiful Lincoln purposely crashed into other beautiful classics. Being as heavy as the Lincoln is, and the big engine, I bet the mpg isn't very pleasing .
'Hey fred, do you think delta house stolen contiental for some nefarious plans 🤔' ohhh they find you the hard way after wildly day at parade has cause major problems and embarrassed the hole college board forever 😂😂😂 anyway thanks dude for covering another iconic movie ( car too b.t.w) so see you later bye now.
Lol, yeah a number of the cars in the film are off on the years a bit, but at least within the same generation, lol. Maybe Fred worked at Ford making prototypes 😉
I thought it was set in 1963? On an AH documentary, it was stated the JFK assassination occured the day after the parade. Would that make the Lincoln a 63 possibly?
Was fact #7 really necessary though? We all saw the movie...we know why they did it...and the deep interpretation you provided is laying it on a little thick lol (love your vids, but c'mon bro...)
Glad you enjoy the channel. Actually lot of people didn't know that info, but if you're able to come up with 10 better facts on the car for your own video, let us know 😉
So glad you overcame the de-monetizing issue and you're here steadily putting out content.

I second that 👍
I third this!!
That poor Lincoln
Lol, indeed.
Ramming Speeeed !!!!!!!
😉👍
When I saw this movie as a kid I remember cringing when they destroyed this car.Even then i loved the classics
Indeed, they sure beat the heck out of it.

I do indeed have that one on my to do list and will probably be looking into it soon 😉👍
Hi again
The Lincoln Continental is a lot bigger of a car than most realize
Indeed it is! 😉

Glad you enjoyed it and cool 😉👍
can you do Ace Ventura's 72 Monte Carlo in a Future, i've been loving your videos
I do indeed already have that one on my large to do list, just need to find more info on it before I can 😉
Outstanding as always, thank you! As usual, you taught me some things that - even 45+ years on - I had not yet learned. Take care ~ Chuck
Glad you enjoyed it 😉👍

..."Just tell him it was stolen."
Lol, yep. Glad you enjoyed it 😉👍
That body style Lincoln is one of my dream cars! Loved Animal House! And the Death Mobile was Freaking Awesome!
😉👍
Animal House took place in 1962…..so for the sake of the film, the Lincoln was a 1962 model! 👍👍👍👍👍
Lol, yeah Fred must of worked for Ford 😉
Ah yes, but a 62 Lincoln has curved side windows, while the 64 has flat side windows. I guess none of that would matter once they converted it to the Deathmobile.
Cool can't wait to see what's next.👍
😉👍
“No Prisoners!!!!” 😄😄😄.
Speaking of Lincolns used in movies. You should also do a video about Sonny’s ‘41 Continental in The Godfather.
😉👍
THX. GREAT VIDEO!!! THESE CARS OOOHHH!!! SO GREAT!!! ...
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it 😉👍

Indeed, they smashed into many in that scene quite hard too.
That was parked in front of The Delta House, right
There was a movie a few years back with a hot rod Lincoln similar to this with a famous actor/comedian in it and it was sweet. Wished I could remember the movie and the actor.
Hmm, I can't think of really any modern interpretations of it, let us know if you think of it 😉
It's a Dax Shepard movie, with his wife and Bradley Cooper
@@93740il Yes. "Hit and Run". He's a car guy and I think that Lincoln was his.

Can you make a video about The Rogues Aka Luther's gang hearse from The Warriors (1978)?
I'll add it my large list to look into, thanks 😉👍
The 4th gen Lincoln is my favorite, I love the suicide doors.
Indeed 😉👍
Universal Studios used a 2 door replica for the Studio Backlot. Thank you so much for putting this out 😎👍👍👏👏💯💯
Indeed and glad you enjoyed it 😉👍

I have a Resin Kit of the DM that I think was done by Jimmy Flintstone. Got it on clearance at my LHS! I don't think they even knew what it was! LOL!
Lol, interesting, I definitely never seen one of those 😉

Barry, you need to check out "Animal House", one of the funniest movies ever made. So much fun, so little time to enjoy it. Just watch it... .
That was pretty brutal indeed.
I'm sorry I forgot about your channel 😢 I did Like the video thanks for your time was fun thanks 👍
It's all good, glad to have you back and yep, I'm still here 😉👍
I just watched this movie Saturday.
Cool 😉👍
It is a beautiful car. Thanks.

there used to be a resin garage kit in 1/25 scale but nearly impossible to find these days
Interesting, was probably cool 😉👍
Great facts. Have to try a custom
Glad you enjoyed it and indeed 😉👍

Yes, I did do that one too, check the video section of the channel to find it please😉

Probably eventually got scrapped considering how much they bashed it up.
