one of the main reasons battery tech has remained prettymuch at a standstill for decades now in terms of development, is because it has been driven by private companies to whom, "better tech" means less profits. Elon came in with a completely different mindset, his aspirations were to literally change the world, not in pursuit of wealth, but in pursuit of securing the survival of humankind. And along that, stamp his name and legacy into the collective memory of our species for a long while. I think in hundreds of years from now, historic databanks (since books will no longer be a thing most likely) will speak of him as we today think of great names such as Newton, Einstein, Nikola Tesla, etc etc - all men, who contributed to our collective evolution in massive way.
Great analysis my friend. You have quite an effective and brilliant thought process yourself. I appreciate you for sharing your wonderful thoughts on Tesla and Elon’s future ambitions and legacy.
Actually Elon came in with the same mindset. He’s not making better tech he’s just using old strategies and tech to push profits. Tesla isn’t even a battery company and hasn’t produced any batteries themselves.

I see the next 6 years to my 80th BD in 2028, as a steady decline in physical health that slows down at some point, to where I am increasing rather declining in health. When that happens is when A.I. begins to take over control of my health and enables medical technology to augment the industry to monitor and deliver care at a cheaper cost per Unit Price. Tesla and Neuralink will be at the forefront of that technology because of their advanced DOJO computer. Of course that description is the skin on the surface of the grape :D but you can see where this is going. By 2029 when the human race hits escape velocity in longevity, ie we gain years instead of lose them for years lived, we will have technology that far surpasses the Science Fiction of the last 21 years. The image in your thumb nail of Elon looking like The Borg, is SOOOOOOOOO 20th Century that I feel like I should call you OK, BOOMER even though you are obviously very young. We are into the first years of the Roaring 20's version 2.0. When the Boomer Era is crushed, just as the Victorian Era was crushed by the Roaring 20's version 1.0. Maybe this hypothetical timeline will be exponentially shortened with the implementation of Nerolink. Once self driving merges with Nerolink, the symbiosis will allow for no steering wheel and a grid of autonomous vehicles. Both have to merge before no input driving accrues.
how will tesla solve the FSD problem of snow and heavy rain? My M3 on self steer fails in heavy rain when the cameras get distorted. On snowy roads, there's no lines for the car to follow. Will an autonomous tesla simply stop in the middle of the road or highway? It won't be able to pull over to the side if it can't see the lines.
I dont think anybody in the suburbs or country should let car ownership go. unless you dont have the space. I find it hard to not leave your things in your car or be able to feel safe in your own vehicle. waiting on car to drive to you for work or having the problem of not enough cars. although I do see Tesla making city living more capable.
Tesla should build a factory here in south Australia ever since Holden moved out they left quite a few factories that Tesla could take over and ramp up production for not only Australians but also most of Oceania
Elon Musk has the goal of revolutionizing transportation. Tesla's self driving AI is just in the learning stage and will eventually become totally autonomous. When that happens there will be no need to own or lease a car. Cars and trucks will be used for specialized transport only like delivery and tours.
The "4680" term is a measurement: 46mm x 800mm (the last zero is dropped from the naming, typically), so it needs to said as: "Fourty-Six - Eighty", NOT "Four - Six-Eighty". For bonus points, the cells in a Model S/X are 18650 (18mm x 650mm) and that name is not shortened, it is pronounced: "Eighteen - Six-Fifty", the reason being these are industry standard size for laptops, etc and the naming had been established LONG before Tesla even existed!
Good overview of the future potential of Tesla. It is absolutely conceivable that Tesla will value 3 trillion dollars by 2030. Interlinking all cars with Starlink would be an additional feature. And let’s not forget that the car AI will be a full small world personality as a collateral. Dojo is the substrate but there will be different cortex models running on it. So we can value EV as the first trillion , energy storage as the second trillion, AI as the third trillion and we have a spare trillion for the bot, and that does not consider, trucks and buses and potentially flying cars. Every institutional investor will have to have a fair share of Tesla stock, and institutional investor funds will triple in the next 25 years. So even if Tesla was half as innovative as it is, its value will be forced up no matter what. It is a very good time to live in.
All great news besides thinking we’re all doomed if things don’t go perfectly. We should focus on growth and enjoy the process while accomplishing things as a healthy human
Tesla is already starting to combine Apple phones with Starlink, much like T-Moble did recently, using the same business model. If Amazon shares it’s business model with Tesla’s oculus robot, anything can be delivered anywhere. Planes and trains are in Tesla’s future, and the world becomes a safer, more productive and abundant place.
My only fear with telsa is that some bastard may intentionally crash it and blame it on AI to plummet the value of tesla.. and big oil and automobile companies probably won't be afraid to do so..
I think that for the foreseeable future you will not significantly eliminate a car buyer’s correlation between car ownership and personal identity. I particularly see this in the economic group that has less financial capability… the one’s who can’t afford the premium residence, etc., and who put a disproportionate amount of their assets into their car. After all, once you leave your home in a high end car, wear nice cloths, etc., you change your persona.
