it has been a real privilege having u covering the TWL this season ... Market ... has really done a great job and really must appreciate this fanatastic coverage that u have added to the other creators ... Great times for ROME2 ....................... keep up the good work !!!!
Should change it to life of a Unit... all 200 of them. That way, to take the example of Apollos video about a unit that gets 4,000 kills, that Unit would be followed
yeah... a shame that he didn't do one in a fucking while. I will always and I mean always remember that English captain of a unit that he did a life of a soldier that flew 100 meters (like something like that) and managed to get 1 kill which then the unit broke. DAMN I miss the old NTW battles.
One thing I have noticed while watching these tournament videos is that nearly every battle has been a stubborn push through a single point. In these battles in particular I think a lot of lives could have been spared or the attackers could have at least made the defenders sweat more if they had used their siege towers to get some forces on the flanks, but neither side really did that! Is a flanking force easier to deal with than I'm imagining?
in short, yes. Having a battle that's heavily reliant on micro can have a counter-productive effect if you open up a new front somewhere else. Flanking can be good but only if you have the attention span to micro manage your flanking force and main force. From this recording you can see that both teams were really working on micro with cycling their troops, skirmishing, etc. probably too much already to send a flanking force
Whoever was playing lusitani was on point. I saw so many little maneuvers they did to flank units and things like that. Honestly both sides were playing well, much better than I could, but the defenders seemed to be on top of their game in particular.
Sending the elite sword units through the gate could’ve benefited the attackers. They lost SO MANY thorax swords and noble swords to the Gallic hunters on the hill.
Great commentary. Maybe you can collab with one of the other UA-camrs for some TWL videos. Or maybe you can get Ruvak to do some commentary with you on a few videos.
The thing about sallying out is time is on the side of the defenders, the more time they spend outside, the more likely they are to win. I mean, how long does it typically take to get through a decent defense? 12 minutes or so if you have good archer support? Then there will be the better troops waiting for you.
The 3xplosove shots tend to do a lot of hp damage to a large area. They get a lot of kills if you target the same areas repeatedly, but at the very least they do enough hp dmg tovseriously a cripple a unit once it gets in to combat. I tend to find the regular shot is better overall though.
Hey man :D Have you considered making videos with the Divide et Impera-mod for Rome 2? Its on Steam Workshop so its really easy to install, and its very cool and realistic! A bit like that multiplayer-mod for Napoleon, where battles genuinely takes forever because unit fatigue etc. is really important
I just want to point the reason I believe you think of the French with the resistance is because of phineas and ferb cause I think the exact same thing… but please let me kno if I’m correct lol
Apollo I love your content man , I’m overseas currently serving and I’ve been watching your content for awhile, I’m hoping one day me and you could team up in a tournament 💯
They played for 0points just to prevent the otther team gaining points. They probably had a good reason to do this , Each have is own strategie , I always would play for ad least 1 point. But in somme situations its better to prevent teams to gaining points ?!?!
Other than the sally out from the defenders in the first battle the entirety of both battles was blan. Both teams did nothing but attack that one area and the battle was focused only in that one corner of the map the entire video. Don't worry I'm not blaming anything on you Apollo. Your commentary was the best part of the video but those guys playing was no, just no.
Where are the pikes at? I'm so used to seeing them as a last stand unit in battles and haven't seen any in this TWL series. They are in Rome 2 correct?
There are pikes in Rome 2 but they are not that good at defense from missile units. As you can tell this game has a huge missile skirmishing component to it and pikes just get shredded no matter which sides get hit. Which sucks cause that makes half of Macedons roster not that viable especially for multiplayer.
@skippydinglehammer9604 hell yeah man thank you for the response brotha! Have never played any of these games except medieval 2 on my phone now but I have been addicted to watching these videos for years now 💪🏼
How come nobody uses pikemen in these battles? It seems like it must work if used properly, considering pikemen were widely used in real life against intelligent opponents.
Every time Apollo says "Interesting....interesting" that is code for "What in the world are you doing?"
I can't believe such an amazing content creator such as Apollo doesn't have 1 mil subs yet, he deserves it so much
It’s getting there. Last week he was at 914. Now 917
@@odynith9356 aye you right man, I'm excited for him, shouldn't be too much longer,
He will pull em with the tournament
Why does he sound so fucking good at x2 speed tho, so exciting and entertaining
What an honor to have the great Pixellated Apollo cover one of my battles
I work at a museum of the resistance in France and I couldn't help but root for this team during this battle 😂

Apollo: "...legitimately average has an uphill battle..."
Me: "good thing they have hillmen then... xD"
I miss Life of a Soldier videos
Don't we all😢
Yeah same

Could be cool to have one

“Alright knights of Apollo” no more iconic words on the internet

Great battle! You might want to send an active unit to fight directly, i believe it has best impact on their stats for the moment.
38:20, thought the bird was the doomflyer catapult from warhammer, had me very confused lol
"Meat Grinder, Grind that meat" Okay apollo this is the internet. You can't possibly want us to be adults lol.
20:34 woah! he broke that guy's ankle, out skilled him

dude i been loving this tournament! I just need you and Rovak to win haha rootin for ya!
Great commentary. Maybe you can collab with one of the other UA-camrs for some TWL videos. Or maybe you can get Ruvak to do some commentary with you on a few videos.
The resistance should have left a very small force to hold those two points and then send the rest of their forces up the siege towers
I would be so frustrated as the attackers in that second battle. The defenders literally beat them to just get 0 points.
Love seeing different maps

Wave attacking into one chokepoint
When will you upload next Crimsons Chickens (🎉💯🔥) vs bears match ?
Need more than one breach.
The attackers screwed their self over.
By only having one breach.

I really do think the Iberian factions are such a valuable option in this tournament
Let’s goooooooooo
When’s the next one military camp vid
nice

Dude fall asleep😂
when you pair the games its easier to watch, otherwise I have to hunt for them in your channel ;)
You understand that a sandwich is called whatever is in the middle of it? Lol
Also how is Averni -2 points, but Macedon is worth 0 points?
252 like is crazy for 2 hours

But aren't points secondary? If you win both of your matches, that's what actually matters?
Na, the two teams with the most points of each group get into the playoffs.

I think it’s bc they are expensive and you really need to take care of them
@@TheBarreraLifeStyle Even the cheapest pikemen are capable of almost soloing high end units
You say constantly that skirmishing is too strong but it really isn't 200 kills is just over 1 unit killed.
hi
Hi😊
Bid army
Man that second game was terrible just running infantry into infantry, the attacker played it terrible with no strategy
First
Carteli axemen? Come on bro they’re Arab not Mexican.
