Ladylike,Ghosts, and I Digress from this show.Check out the studio music videos versions of Albatross ,A Million Days and Wolves. All off the comeback album 10 years after the second album.
The way he plays the lead guitar in the middle of the song reminds me of Ler from Primus at the begining of "Jilly's on Smack" ...it's a interesting sound and I loved this song!!!❤
Big Wreck - Canada Day 1998 an early live recording out there has Ian belting some teenage wasteland in the middle of The Oaf paying homage to The Who, "your all wasted!"
Great reaction to a band that doesn’t get a tone of love. You really should give Ghost from this same concept a go…..epic sound with Floyd undertones.✌️
The crazy thing is that I find his vocal range and tone is a wee bit off to his younger self. Obviously the album version is way more crisp. He’s still got it though. And the whole band is still tight musically.
Imagine if there’d never been a Chris Cornell, would he sound like this? Or would he be revered as much as Chris as the standalone music genius that he so obviously is?
Apparently Ian Thornley was brought in by Velvet Revolver to replace the fired Scott Weiland, in 2008. It didn't work out because Thornley insisted he be able to play guitar while fronting the band. Rightfully so...However, when Slash is already one of your two players, understandable. Risk of being upstaged I guess.
Great request, their first hit and release. So good. I went to their first show in Winnipeg with Nickelback opening for then. Nickelback was great pre formulaic music but Big Wreck was better...
Wow yeah Rock very good , Awesome 🎸🤘amazing Thank you Rory 🤗👌👍
Killer band, super underrated. Love those first two albums.

Parts of Albatross and A Million Days will remind you of Chris Cornell.
Big Wreck - That Song was my fav jam of theirs on the radio. Great vibes with this group.

He really doesn't look or sound like Chris Cornell - at all. But I know what you mean. There are shades/small aspects of older Cornell here and there.
Rory, do you like Nick Cave?
