Funny, as a CrossFitter, I have the opposite problem . . . I have a running problem. Not alone, as the best CF shoes are not good for running. Running is not common in CF on a daily basis at the box. Programming varies, but I would venture to say there is a 'significant' amount of running once 5-10 days. 'Significant is relative, but let's say a WOD that cumulatively entails more than 800m . . . can you run 800m in something like a Nike Metcon? Sure, but no fun, particularly if you are heel striker. True of every CF oriented shoe I have come across. The real killer WODs are those that entail running with lifting (e.g. 5 Rounds: 10 cleans, 400m run), which seems to be most that involve running. So, getting to the point, I have long searched for a shoe that can handle lifting and running. Not the best at running nor lifting, but 'adequate' for both. I landed on the Nike Flex Control 4. This might be the best cross training shoe available for the money. Most color ways are available for under $50, while the newest releases top out at $70. The shoes mentioned in this video are still runners and not good for lifting. For $50-70 you might be very pleasantly surprised with the Flex Control 4 . . . ???
