Wow, Some awesome cars, Particularly that G10 Charade! I'm flying into Fukuoka from Melbourne this week and been checking out the Wasabicars interactive map for things to see. Might risk getting lost in the Uminonakamichi seaside park to find that car museum!😆
Lovely collection of Daihatsus Dan ....used to live next door to a Daihatsu dealership in the UK ...but they pulled out of UK altogether in 2013.... That black edition coupe is just mouth wateringly stunning ....such a little beauty ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Great work mate ...
It is great to see many of these older Daihatsus being kept in great condition, especially since these have become so incredibly rare! Greetings from Germany ^^
Marty and Moog would have loved this meet. lol I remember IPF lighting from back in the day,Dan. I think they were even sponsors of some of the Japanese race series.
Love the Coopen Coupe. Looks Great but the Charade Black edition is TOP. Love the openable fixed rear window and the porthole window. Fantastic meeting. Thank you for the video
O for Awesome !! Love me a Daihatsu Dan. I had a “CR” Charade in Aus. Similar to the spec of the Suzuki Swift GTi. 1.3Ltr, 5Spd, bucket seats etc. cracking little car. It looked at about the same vintage as the kissa models in the vid. How good is the “Marine” porthole window on the older Charade!!! Epic !!
That porthole window is nuts! Love it. Also that Copen Coupe is a damn good looking thing. I always prefer a hardtop to a vert- the lines look so much better than the typical popemobile look of the Copen with the roof up. Great Video Dan 👍
In the 90's my brother had a G100 charade turbo. He engine swapped it with a JDM CB70. Great fun to drive. She still has the tiny turbo from the original CB61 engine.
Lovely coupe Charade - surprisingly popular in the UK, or at least, I definitely recall seeing them running around. Not any more though, obviously. That one is an absolute gem!
Such an epic collection of Dais, severe lack of L200s though haha The wheels on that Black Charade are the exact same as the ones on my 4dr Mira, maybe theyre super special?
Hey Dan. Shared to the Daihatsu Club Australia FB group and getting a heap of likes. I do love my "Kermit" (AusDM 1980 5 door Charade in bright factory green), but if only I could get my hands on any Charade Runabout 3 door...... Keep these vids of the little bespoke meetups coming through. We get to see stuff that can't be seen elsewhere 👍
Yeah. But also, if i remember correctly. A Daihatsu Mira was one of, it not, the first car that started it all for MCM. And i know Marty still adores cars like these. There are some really cool ones in there though. Like the one 1:20, love the boxyness of it. Or the one at 2:40, Really digging it's general shape. And the one at 4:57 indeed has a really interesting front on it. Among plenty others.
I always confused those charades with starlets, i swear that's one of my favorite small cars i know!! They're getting super rare in peru but I've always loved the bullseye window, I hope you've been doing well Daniel, miss talking to you man, glad to see you posting 😁
very cool :) quick correction tho, the odo doesnt read 200k, but 20k. that last white number is your usual 100meters counter, so the mileage could be 120k, 220k...so on haha. my BD haz the exact same thing too :D
Many Daihatsu Charades here in the Philippines. Prices are nosediving as parts are rare & people dont charish them. The Mira was a big hit in India. Many still available there too.
Cracker episode today Daniel, had a few Charades in my days, thumbnail had 1 in yellow, but mine was not rare, hope your doing well and the family mate Cheers🍺🍻🍺🍻 KC Cradle Mountain Tasmania 🇦🇺🤝🇦🇺😎✌👍
I reckon you might find shopping trolleys in states about the size of a Mira😂 Nice period wheels by the way! Is the cool Copen with the fixed top a custom fiberglass thing?
Cheers, Phil. That Copen you're asking about; factory not custom. Sheet-metal not fiberglass. 200 built in 2019 (maybe you saw that layer in the video)
@@ゆる釣り部 That’s really sad. Here in Europe there still are plenty and their value isincreasing. Do you think the Asahi Shinbun article has anything to do with them being so rare in Japan?
Good news. The Porsche and the Charade would be in different classes (under/over 2,000 cc) so would have a different number to the right of the prefecture name. Also, even if they were in the same class, there's the single 'alphabet' to the left of '・9 93' that could also differentiate the two plates.

Man, Daniel’s content hasn’t changed since the beginning of the channel and that’s what keeps me following this channel, keep it up Mr. O’ Grady

Hello from Japan. Thanks for watching. Co-incidentally, I will be in Germany in early May (near Stuttgart). I'm looking forward to it

That black edition Charade is sick! lol!
love the Charade lineup, especially the Charade G10!
it has nickname named "Runabout".
please Daniel grab more videos for the Charade! 😂

Most attractive daihatsu car meet ever saw
Yeah, a vibrant bunch here in Japan

Very cool. Thanks for story. Always cool hearing such things
Thank you for your wonderful videos! It's a great memory.
Let's meet again in another car.

i feel like Marty would enjoy that meet relentlessly
Ahh, he's got a lil L500 TR-XX, doesn't he... plus, yeah, a bunch of other Daihatsus. I just now recall

Daihatsu will always hold a special place in my heart, wish I still had my 91 Applause (first car)
Nice. Yeah, first cars... Miss mine
The legends of Daihatsu
Lovely stuff as always mate, both me and my missus first cars were 90s daihatsus
Awesome. Cheers, and thanks for watching

''Kissa'' means cat in finnish haha, now that's a funny car gotta say
I heard it means something quite different but also quite funny in Swedish 😂
@@wasabicarsOh i see! Haha
Finally a daihatsu episode!
Yes! And I hope it was worth the wait :)
Yes it was!
Nice plate on the G10 as well 993 same CC as the engine.
Yes, I picked up on that later. Right after I asked the owner how many CCs. Lol
I had that same Charade when I was young it had 12 speakers and two 20 inch subs in it mine was red

I have 5 charades g100. Incl turbo diesels. And a 4 door 1.0. And a gtti.
Dang! You really are a fan. Do you have Instagram (and pics of them posted there)?
No. I dont have any socials.
In Australia we would take the k off and put a p on there instead hey Dan 😂😂😂
Hey, David. Lol. Sorry, I just work up. Which K word?
Super cool it's a shame he changed the seats
I can only assume it was necessary. The guy really does take good car of his stable of odd/rare/special cars
Need more Honda content Daniel ! haha
True. Oh! Just remembered I'll have a Honda 1300 Coupe video coming up at some point. Not sure when though. My guess is sooner rather than later
I was hoping to see an Applause.. Is it rare in Japan now?
There are almost no left in Japan.
@@ゆる釣り部 That’s really sad. Here in Europe there still are plenty and their value isincreasing. Do you think the Asahi Shinbun article has anything to do with them being so rare in Japan?
4:58 definitely one of my favs, any idea what the kit is guys?
I just did some googling but came up short. Sorry I couldn't help
@@wasabicars its fine, its always the obscure ones that are cool 😅
Some Porsche owner in that prefecture is going to be drooling over that number plate on the black on black on black on black Charade!
993 cc. Not enough for porsche people
