Hi! I requested before - remember Brian Setzer Orchestra!? Well, this time something different, but I'm sure your like it. Dave weckl is an awesome drummer, and he teamed up with keys-master Jay oliver. add another great drummer to the mix, Chris coleman and with the vocals of Chrissie poland you're in for a treat. Stevie wonder done differently! Have fun - as always - keep up the good work! erik
Dave has been one of the greats for decades!
No one flows like Dave Weckl. Drumming genius. Hits the top3 best drummers of all time on a lot of drummer's list. Mine for sure.
Agreed. Been my #1 drummer for 40 years. He is a machine.
As a life long Dave Weckl fan I will take "Dave Weckl is the best drummer in the world" to the grave. I can listen to a record and know he's on it just by listening to it. He's so unique.
I have been following Dave Weckl since VERY early in my playing days, and still have two of his drumming instructional VHS tapes that were/are magical to me. I was first introduced to Chris Coleman back in 2004 on a gospel album by Israel Houghton (Live From Another Level). Growing up playing playing gospel music I was mesmerized by his talent, speed, chops....everything about his playing. To see Weckl and Coleman team up was a dream collaboration for me. So glad to see you both enjoying it as well!
Dave Weckl. Now that's a name I've not heard in a long time. A long time. That man is basically a walking, talking, playing, drumming encyclopedia. In that upper, elite echelon of drummers for drummers category.
I've seen Weckl in concert numerous times as I have seen hundreds of other drummers too. Weckl is the best.
Ah! *speechless*
Weckl is one of the greatest drummers of all time. Coleman is ridiculous and one of the best ever.
Look I grew up on Rush and have nothing but respect for Peart but he is considered the greatest drummer of all time...by people who don't know great drummers. Maybe if you account for his writing/adding fills to prog rock and still making it sound great, but I always found him a bit underwhelming technically and a bit lacking in groove compared to rock greats like Copeland and Bonham. Jazz drummers like Weckl, Chambers, Cobham, Roach, and many others are simply in a different class.
