Tried searching for a tutorial on this effect a week or so ago and couldn't find anything that summarised the information I needed. Search today, this video pops up, and I'm compelled to say you have done an excellent job explaining this from start to finish. Brilliant presentation, clear and concise walkthrough, this really does set the standard for how tutorials should be done. Thank you for this, great job, and I hope this finds you well.
I've always wanted to know how this was done with motion pictures! Easy enough in Photoshop for still pictures -- and now easy enough in Resolve for the moving ones, too. Good tutorial; you definitely know your stuff.
i always can not stand those kind of videos...i watch it just because i need to learn, but man you are good! Like really! This is not boring at all,yiu really explain well! I love it! this is the first time eeeevveeerr i di subscribe to a channel that does totorial! thanks mate thank a lot!
Hi, Nice Video. Please do make lot of videos like this for people like me. I am from India, and I use Davinci for lot of my work. I do editing, grading, audio etc only with Davinci and I don't use FCP or Avid. Thank you very much. If possible please do videos about grading to the proper output of a particular scene for example grading based on the mood and psychology of the scene. Of course please do videos on Davnici's opeations, that's very important.
Nice and good explained. Just found out something i was looking a long time, how to "exclude" part of the picture from my selection. Know that this wasn't the main topic of the video, but wanted to thank you !
Could you please do a tutorial about tracking a shape? Is it possible? Or "hard and dirty" manual work? Thanks a lot for your tutorials. Very awesome - all of them!
Men I do appreciate your stuffs and now I understand a little bit of how to get done with specific parts of the shots. I will like to know the functions of the different particles used in fusion if possible thanks!!
someone help me with this. I am editing. So i got a clip on video 1 then another underneath etc etc. When i try to color correct it seems it will do the color correction only on one line and i cant choose the clip to do the color correction. noob question i know but i cant figure it out.

These tutorials are very well composed! You explain it well, recap at the end, and explain why you do everything, not just how to do it.

Nice and to the point tutorial, Jay. One quick question: what do you use "Despill" for in the 3D qualifier?
It's for if your going to key out blue or green screen it will automatically color correct to eliminate the blue or green spill.
JayAreTV thanks!!
