    I’ve been loving watching your videos for a while now, but to see your enthusiasm for this Q makes me so happy. Currently going through your master the score course and having a blast. Thank you so much.

    Let me just say how much I am impressed, by your work on this wonderfull piece !! And it is really interessant to watch ! How did you manage to map the tempo ? did you do that by ear after having put the original music in logic ?

    That problem you run into with the repeated sustains there on the strings is my absolute biggest gripe about samples.

    • @MattiaChiappa
      @MattiaChiappa  Рік тому

      Yeah, no samples do that well

      In CSS you can use the sustain pedal to get repeated note samples. Play the note twice while holding down the sustain pedal😀

    I have the full orchestral handwritten score of this cue, and an alternate typed version from a concert. I'll send them to you, if you make a transcription video of "You're Not One of Them" from Superman Returns. 😊

    Love your channel and content, Mattia! This video was amongst the videos that inspired me to take a shot at doing a John Williams jurassic park theme mock up as well. The experience was rewarding but brutal to get through. It was running a marathon! I think I'll leave the rest of the JW mockups to you now! I would be honored if you had a listen. Thanks so much again for your great content!

      Thanks! Yeah Williams is tricky. His music is always so rich it’s easy to misinterpret stuff. The dense harmony doesn’t help either 😁

    excellent.....I have a personal question for you Matia,...it is better to transfer a sheet music,..directly to the DAWx,.....or have the sheet music in hand and read and play the groups of notes ,....what do you consider?,...what is more realistic, if we also quantify, the latter,...without forgetting the articulations,.....thanks in advance!

    • @MattiaChiappa
      @MattiaChiappa  Рік тому

      Thanks! Well, to my experience I can still get the best results starting from scratch in my DAW, with a combination of performance and editing. Using the MIDI export from your notation though is of course much faster. It depends on how much time you have available and what’s important to you
