    Looks bloody brillant, now I have to come back and restart for this.

    Some nice changes. Love the Flow Meter and water to Electric Furnace additions!

      Yeah same, it shows good info and of course the water in to the furnace is a biggie.

    Wow, now it makes sense, unlike their first implementation in the first beta branch. I'm happy becouse signs were i keep noted usage and production can go for a neat panel, idle machines won't consume anything and solar panels finally make sense. I hated with passions wind towers, now they can be dismissed.

    • @Fortizar
      @Fortizar  7 місяців тому

      Yeah it makes a little more sense, true you don't technically need wind now you could just have solar if you have enough batteries.

    Great Video!
    The only thing I can say is that the numbers in brackets after the devices in the inspection screen 'Deep Freeze (61m)' That actually means its 61 meters from your current location.
    It helps with figuring out which devices are which in world.

      Oh really? Is it possible to have info on how long stuff would last by just running off batteries? Because the range thing doesn't make sense at all since everything is on the same network. And thanks 😊

      @@Fortizar I think it's to help identify which specific ones you need on batteries if power goes out and which you don't. Just guessing here anyway

    Its looking like a good update this week. I especially like the flow meter as I have an intermittant wind turbine problem in my current base and it has been hell isolating the problem with no tools available. I think batteries are good as we can manage smaller installations without needing massive power production and just balancing our production with solar panels and storage.

    • @Fortizar
      @Fortizar  7 місяців тому

      Yeah the devs have done good with this, smaller bases / networks are definitely going to be easier to manage.

    top stuff sir. The flow meter and water into an electric furnace are the big wins for me.

      True I love the water in to the furnace

    Awesome video 🎉
    So, if I only use the metal rain collector and the water barrel, I can't hook it up to my benches?
    I need the electric water pump or bio?

    • @Ygolnac
      @Ygolnac 7 місяців тому +1

      I guess the metal rain reservoir will get gradually filled with storms, and since the machines now go idle when you don't use them it might be enough for limited use like cooking. Should get an early base or a remote outpost going. Most probably in your main facility you want electric pumps still.

      @tommasotoschi6423
      I see.
      I was thinking to place a lot of rain collectors and barrels to my main base.
      But I'm not sure that this setup will work without any water pumps.
      Like can I use them to operate a glass bench?

    • @Fortizar
      @Fortizar  7 місяців тому

      You can use either pump, the rain collector will store water just the same from either. You'll be able to hook it up to your benches still, the bio fuel water pump just pumps A LOT of water in short period of time.

    • @Fortizar

      Exactly 👍

    • @Fortizar

      If you didn't have a pump connected it would be super unreliable I personally wouldn't recommend this method.

    The long anticipated batteries are finally here lol, and they have been talking about it since New Frontier release. And we know tomorrow they will start to dangle curve structures, Creature Comfort DLC(new saddles and mount) and Homestead DLC(chicken and sheep) in front of us and for god knows how long those will take XD. I do appreciate what the dev are doing and development sure aint easy job, but man..... I totally agree with some sentiments online about should we get some futuristic stuff for a change? like anti-gravity or lasers?

    • @gamegamezero7704
      @gamegamezero7704 7 місяців тому

      But then developing battery charging really could leads to re-chargable equipments, eg antigrav boots or laser weapons perhaps lol?

    • @Fortizar
      @Fortizar  7 місяців тому +1

      Hmm I quite like the path they're on, I don't want it to go to futuristic not sure I'd like that.

      @@Fortizar i feel its pretty primitive compared to the story background, a few somewhat futuristic elements would definitely fit in (not full on sci-fi), i mean, humanity is terraforming alien planets and whatnot and we cant even craft a pistol holding more than one bullet at once lol (and no, having an extended magazine mod on it doesnt count)

    Thanks for this video. I've been using turbines, then after watching this I decided to go with solar panels and the advance battery pack. But, after the sun goes down, my advance battery pack is not supplying electricity to the electrical network. Everything shut down. It is tied in to the the electrical network along with the 11 solar panels. The control panel shows it is fully charged. Storage = 6,000,000. Does it matter where the battery pack is plugged into the network?

    • @Fortizar
      @Fortizar  7 місяців тому

      As long as the battery have shelter, make sure your flow metre has the options turned on for the items you want to receive power during a brown out.

    • @randyduncan3190
      @randyduncan3190 7 місяців тому

      @@Fortizar Yep, the battery is sheltered and all my freezers are check marked as priority in the control panel. As soon as the sun goes down everything shuts down and all the food starts spoiling. Does the battery need to be tied into the network BEFORE the wiring gets to the devices? Thanks for your help.

    how you know how much battery you need for youre base?
    And how much solar panel to survive the nighs?

    • @Fortizar
      @Fortizar  7 місяців тому +1

      That depends on how much you have built, but the flow meter shows you everything

      I'm sorry, but still not sure.
      I see the demand, which is the usual.
      But the battery has another kind of meter.
      Let say, the bench needs 2500 power(Amp) and the battery has 1.000.000 power(wattage)
      What is the voltage than?
      How long 1.000.000 power in the battery last if I have 2500 power usage?
