Water to Glass bench is a big upgrade since that enables the reinforced glass building pieces.
if you have some points in the farming tree, you can get the perk to turn fertilizer into gunpowder, so the water wheels making spoiled plants passively means you are essentially making free gunpowder passively.(using composter to turn the spoiled plants into fertilizer, then 1 charcoal + 1 fertilizer turns into 10 gunpowder in the mortar and pestle)

This is going to need an update soon with them adding wind turbines and talking about batteries soon. I personally think the wire tool needs to be reworked and things like switches added.
The only thing that our group likes the electric composter is when we are running to a far exotic node with bio extractors. It makes quick work of filling the bio can. But even then it's usually on the mission that requires that particular machine to be built or nobody brought down the space extractors and is a mission requires a boat load of electronics already. Falls under the "it's hand but not required" lable
Thanks for the video, I didn't know about the color change on the electrical lines when connnecting them to appliances. I am color blind but can notice light changes if I know what to look for. Also I noticed your storage cabinets looked like they actually showed the items with a picture rather than words and that you could hang the signs, is that a mod. If not how was that done. Thanks again for the video, very informative.
You can place signs directly on cabinets, hold R by default. Once you've placed a sign, interact with it and select the icon tab to choose a picture.
QUESTION: Have you ever encountered it where while wiring, and then later re-wiring your base you end up with wires where the sockets all of them on the entire wire are gone? It seems impossible to remove these wires when it happens and I can't figure a way to interact with them anymore in some cases. Preventing their removal.

Open world, I still use Generators on gold/copper Deep Mining Extractors. Could you tell us if the Workshop Drill is better than the T4? T4 is 80/hr ore where as T3 is 60/hr.
The workshop extractor is slightly faster but requires it's own fuel source from the workshop. One that workshop fuel is brought down, it cannot return back up even if you never pulled it off the drop pod. If the exotic node is a large node, you will get almost 2 uses out of it if you found a second node. Also a consideration if you are by yourself you can only carry one extractor at a time. But you can make a generator and a fabricator, then gather the resources to make multiple extractors and carry the gen&fab and resources with you and make all 3 extractors when you get to a exotics site. Which is my preferred method don't forget bio if you decide to build the bio-extractors vs the electric ones. Hope this helps.
Just watching this I feel like the water wheel should be before the solar panel since the solar panel needs composets which you can't get without power

Yes, I've connected many power sources to the same network. I have my entire base on the same network with an energy use of 18,000+ energy. 4 solar panels or generators connected to it work well.
Same with water pumps.

I have water hooked up, but it tells me that it's connected but insufficient water input. How can I fix this..?
You need more pumps, or your pump isn't turned on/out of fuel or power

How is the solo survival? Been awhile since I played this game. Looks beautiful but the release kind of ruined it for me.
It's doable, but you'll have to trim your build to the meta if you don't want to spend a lot of time doing things. That means being resource spec at a minimum if you want to get anything done in any amount of time. Everything hinges on mined ores and wood. Everything else is highly tertiary.
Solo survival I would say, it's covering many play styles, can finally have a BIG build that doesn't go POUF when clock runs out.
You can if you want get some missions to get stuff ( many times kinda useless ) but heard we might be able to do the Ren&exotic missions and buy with delivery, items from the station while cozy in our own never ending worlds, all in all the game has a lot to offer and it's one that it's Dev are working on ( and that is becoming rare these days )
The reason the solar panel wasn't working the first time is because you didn't actually connect the wire to it, you put it on the ground under it.

what’s the use of water if you can’t tap it or is it just for for the hydroplantantings?
You can connect it to kitchen benches and the sink. If you put a canteen in them, they'll fill up. Also, the sink gives you a buff when you use it to wash your hands LOL
But the main use for me is the cement mixer and glass working bench. Water makes them much better.
felt like way too much cable/wire messy... why dont you guys build like we have electric pole put cable/wire overhead
Could I connect two, four or even eight bio fuel generator's via a "dimples" to get 10k power or even 40k power?
