It's been 2 months since my 1st extraction, the left eye. Excited about being able to read an eye chart w/o glasses for 1st time in 30 years. It's been 3 weeks since right eye was done. Will still need glasses to read & correct astigmatism as I could not afford the Toric lens implant. But still thrilled about the vibrant colors. Didn't realize before surgery how dim my vision had become.
I can relate to the lady patient. I had my left eye done two weeks ago and like she it’s amazing how good I can see. It’s like seeing everything in UHD - Ultra High Definition. I get my right eye 👁 done later today. I’m soooo excited.
This creeps up on you very, very slowly over the years, but the best way to recognize something's up with your vision is at night, street lights and such have a 'mist' around them as if on a foggy or drizzly night, but it's dry weather, not foggy or drizzly. Once you finally notice it, it'll never go away until you get your surgery.
UA-cam popped this one up for me because I had been looking at some cataract related content previously. The title on this one caught my attention. I wanted to see what this person had to say about her experience with cataracts as well as the corrective surgery. I was floored actually, she described symptoms and her reaction to having had the surgery and the extent her clear vision was restored and it exactly matched my experience. The very first thing I noticed when I sat up from the surgery table was the colors. I was dumbfounded by the rich colors that I had been missing for gosh knows how long. And I do photography. That's why there is insurance
I'm FAR from rich!!! But, I have been responsible and have worked for everything I have. One thing I have is medical insurance through my employer. Something EVERYONE has the choice to have. It all depends on the person.
Sky_stider223 I’ve assisted Medicaid/Medicare ppl, So it’s for whomever have insurance. If you don’t there is public assistance
Amen! Praise Jesus Christ my Lord and my Savior!
