this video is purely inspired by the scene wei wuxian asked his shijie why do people fall in love, probably the times he was confused about his love for lan wangji (but of course he would never admit it)
wangxian....really this couple....so heart wrenching to watch them....it's bittersweet but so painful at the same time....literally their similarities are obvious....they always hide their pains and never showed them to anyone which makes everything so much more tragic.....most importantly, they never blamed anyone for the pain they felt.....all wei wuxian wanted was someone to trust and believe in him and lan wangji was the only person who did.... :'(
I love how the author specially gave every character a background story even when they're not main and that's rare in the drama world.

You should read the book. I understand why they couldn't keep to it in this show. I rarely love both book & tv show/movie but this is 1 of them. The book is called Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation.

May Castellian it’s confirmed that someone bought the rights for the live-action but there are no specific details yet, besides I think that the donghua is supposed to be released later this year bc I already saw the trailer👌🏻 Anyways I’m also super excited for this❤️
But the novel was already made into this drama. I understand your point, you want the novel to be made into a drama exactly as it is, without censorship. I don't know about censorship in Taiwan or South Korea, so I don't know if that could work. In any case, I think I personally don't want another country - Asian or western - to make a drama with other (probably ethnically Chinese) actors. For me, Xiao Zhan is Wei Wuxian and Wang Yibo is Lan Wangji in this drama. Other actors are also perfectly cast. And I think the love of Wei Ying and Lan Zhan was shown very well in this drama even without kisses, hugs and sex. If another drama would be made based on this novel, I would give it a chance, but wouldn't expect to really like it.
