- I'm back with a new Wangxian video ! I know a lot of you wanted me to make another video about them so I hope this video will worth the wait !
For this video I chose to show their feelings and insecurities that we can see through the drama and novel.
I also used some new scenes from the special edition :)
Meaning of the video :
I decided to split the video in two POV. It really fits the lyrics and I hope I succeeded to give the meaning I wanted to.
The video begins with WWX's POV torned with his feelings and desire for LWJ. He thinks that LWJ doesn't really like him and doesn't return his love. He is also afraid of LWJ leaving him. So he doesn't want to fall in love with him.
Then the POV changed with the soulmate's scene. We understand that the love is mutual. With LWJ's POV we see that LWJ doesn't want to fall for WWX because he thinks that it's only a game for him, he just likes to tease him. The second reason why he doesn't want to fall in love with WWX is that he is terrified at the idea of losing him.
Their greatest fear is losing each other.
The video ends with them together, the two POV reunited.

Poor Lan Zhan. He suffered for so long. Wei Ying too. If there was no happy ending to that novel /show I don’t think I could recover from the trauma

I still can't get over this show and this edit. The way you edited with both their POV is so amazing. This is one of the best wangxian edit in this app.

ahhhh I adore this. I love how the POV shifts from wwx to lwj when the song shifts into wicked game, and how you revisit those previous cuts from a new perspective?? And then bringing the two threads together at the end??? This is so so good!!

Lan Zhan and Wei Ying fell for each other at first sight. Lan Zhan's love is unconditional, he loved, cared, protected and believed in him for whoever he was whether right or wrong, sane or insane, good or bad and was ready to heal, and mend for him for whoever he might become. Lan Zhan wanted and took him to Gusu to live together safely. In the end, they are together ❤️
Wei Ying loved and missed Lan Zhan dearly but he was doing things that will lead to his demise and always tried convince Lan Zhan, to let him be and go to his demise, believe in his half-hearted lies which Lan Zhan very clearly knew isn't true, which Lan Zhan could never do, so Wei Ying tried to convince him and misunderstood him, he couldn't except the degree of Lan Zhan's unconditional love for him, and that Lan Zhan loved him and stayed by his side no matter who he might be or become, avoid and shake him, and even pushed him away to put him to safety.
Because through all those good deeds and twisted methods for justice to protect others, he was actually causing his and all their demise, and Lan Zhan could neither deny Wei Ying to protect others or do justice when Wei Ying asks him for that literally holding Lan Zhan's heart in his hands, but he couldn't see him go to his demise either.
The emotion and the lyrics of the song is killing my heart . Seeing lan zhan cried is hurting me so much, it's so beautiful and heart touching. I am shedding many tears, I can't move on from this drama.. Cuz Lan Zhan take my heart away.
The scene on the ledge at the waterfall is the real ending of this drama. It was changed because they looked like an official couple, with Chinese laws it was a no no. They were both smiling, so nice

I see the ending as a happy one. After they departed, the last scene is Wei (in a different clothing) coming back and hearing his name and smiling. So he came back and they lived happily ever after. 😁 (Or was the ending somehow different in China?)

Wuxian' s smile on seeing Lan Zhan!! Oh! It is one of the cutest, and most innocent smiles you come across. Xiao is a great actor. His expressions are priceless.

Oh I've loved it ! Most of the time we only get LWJ's point of view. It's refreshing to get WWX's too and before getting LWJ's, who lost him. It's lovely to see how those two wonderful idiots loved each other without noticing it. :)

dude. i now i am pretty late but i knew one year ago when i was in the middle of the novel that this kind of edit would brought me to tears.
this version of wicked game suits the story perfectly in all aspects - it's all the angst condensed, all the suffering each one had to go through, all the pain related to the tragic events of their lives affecting their relationship.
at the first part of the edit, i felt like it was the story of wei wuxian's attempts to aproach lan wangji, the slowly realization of his feelings, feeling a fool for his sealed destiny: falling in love with someone so out of reach he would never be corresponded - then i was surprised by the counterbalance of lan zhan's view, the very same realization, after trying to avoid the truth, conflicted by his values, suffering as much as wuxian did.
all flowing like a river, scenes matching the song flawlessly. the ending, with wuxian hearing his lover's voice, even knowing the story, looked like it was his imagination, the wind blowing his name to his ears - till you see it's not. and they're together, a small but warm smile after all the pain so we never forget after that, there is happiness.
everyone must be tired and all these facts are pretty known, but i don't feel like i'll ever get over wangxian, because they mean so much more than i could possibly put into words.
this edit is truly a masterpiece, and i thank you for all the effort you've put here. ♥️

I've watched this video so many times, I guess I just assumed I commented the first time... but this is SO brilliant! I love how you cover the same scenes twice, first from Wei Wuxian's persepective, then from Lan Wangji's. You can SEE how adoringly they stare at each other when the other isn't looking (and sometimes when they are). I will never be over how close this show came to being a tragedy... but thank goodness for that final act!
It really is so beautifully made. This comes up in my recommended playlists that I listen to at least 2x a day so I get to hear/watch it normally 3 or 4 times a day and I never get tired
