I would bet that the way this works is a rounding aproximation in the player's favour. That is why it is important to divide it a lot.

Games und Meer you can start doing this really early actually once you get to the main lobby and get to your office (Morgan the main character's office) you will find both machines and you can start doing it right away!

I cant do the glitch.. my game is not updated at all.. im playing on ps4 and i dont have the split option.
@@SuperHeroLanding Got the PC version I bought 2 weeks ago from GOG. I confirm this glitch doesn't work anymore. You get exactly the same amount in vs out of the recycler. There is another glitch which still works with the fabricator.
Doesn't have the r3 option to split.😢

too bad they just patched this earlier this morning, As i turned on my PS4 to try this, I got an update to install, then tried this and it didn't work, great!

I stopped my game from updating since I knew this would be patched. I'm playing on PC so this isn't exclusive to PS4. I think I know what's going on. I think when you split each of the stacks, the game rounds each stack up if it's a decimal value (treats whole numbers like 1 as 1.0) so you end up getting more than you put in. Not 100% sure.
Yo bro so what your saying is that when you split up the materials the game dosent register dat action so it gets all mixed in with it and gives you that material a bunch lf times as of the first you put it in
