Quick flyover of the Lehigh Anthracite Surface Mining operation in Coaldale Pa

A land that used to be home to a few underground mines and coal breakers is now a land of deep pits and man made mountains created by waste rock.

Thank you so much. I always wondered what it looked like up there. I enjoyed the autumn flyover JT & the lake. The trees looked more beautiful and colorful from the air. It's awesome we can comment now and save.

If you look closely, you can see where they mined out rooms & pillars on the bottom rock... very cool..🙂
